Like most other animals, your hamster should be fine. He might have problems running on a wheel like most hamsters, so you could have problems with a hyper active hamster.
As long as he can move around his cage freely, eating, drinking and goofing around, you will be fine.
If you notice he doesnt look healthly, you might wanna talk to a vet about it.
I had a hamster with either skin canser or a tumor for, 4 years. Hamsters are amazing little guys. (most hamsters live 2-3 years crying ) Mine died afew weeks ago.
