Minor warning, this one DOES sound kind of like a soap opera. Lol..
In the Renaissance, I was born to an upper class family. We weren't very high up in the aristocratic section of people, I believe that my father was some sort of land owning noble. I was their only daughter, and I had 3 brothers. 2 older brothers, and 1 younger. Well, my parents decided to throw a party, though I'm not sure what for. They invited a bunch of other minor nobles, their knights, etc. They also hired a troupe of musicians to play and entertain for the party. One of the musicians happened to be one of my soulmates. He had curly dark hair, and equally dark eyes in that life. He noticed me immediately, and started courting me as soon as he could catch me in private. Throughout the time of this party, he and I would meet in private, and he would try to convince me to marry him and run away with him. We often met in the garden outside my home. But on the last day of the party, my parents stood up and told everyone they had an announcement to make. During this party, they had apparently betrothed me to one of their knights. That knight was Matthew, who is now one of my spirit guides. Matthew was a bit older than me, about 20ish. I was 16 at the time, which was well.. Rather old for a girl to get married, but I fought my parents not to force me into marrying people before then. I had always liked Matthew, though we weren't particularly close until after we got married.
Anyway, the moment my soulmate heard the news, he tried to convince me even more that I had to run away with him. I apologized to him, and told him that I could not. My feelings for him scared me, and I thought they were unnatural. I felt so much passion for him, that it scared me away. I couldn't help but think that I had made the right decision. If I had run away with him, he might have left me, we might've had children, or any number of things could have happened. And a musician's life in those days was not a suitable environment to be raising children in.
So I stuck to my duties of my position in life, and took the safe choice. I married Matthew. He was very considerate and sweet about everything. He never pushed me to consumate our relationship. He understood that I was younger than him, and that I needed time to grow still. We actually became quite good friends during that time. Then he got called away on a mission by my father, and I was so scared for him. Of course, my musician soulmate chose that time to pop back into my life. And I made a huge mistake in those few days we were together, I gave into the passion we had for eachother. We had sex multiple times, and he had my virginity. He left, and I was left alone in my husband's house ashamed of what I had done. I became even more ashamed once I realized I was pregnant. Matthew came back, and I told him everything as I sobbed in his arms. He was upset of course, but he didn't entirely blame me for what happened. He found it in his heart to forgive me, and he helped me raise my son like he was the father instead. My son was beautiful, but it was obvious he wasn't Matthew's. Both Matthew and I were fair haired, yet our son had the same dark curly hair of his father and my eyes. Matthew and I grew closer in time still, and we eventually ended up making love regularly in our relationship. Of course, I got pregnant again when our son was 7 or 8. And of course, my musician soulmate chose to come visit again. Ironically when my husband had a meeting over the land security with my father. I told him that he fathered my son. And he tried to convince me to leave with him again. I practically laughed at him because the idea was ludicrous. Leave a loving husband, where I have a stable life for my children, and when I'm 4 months pregnant? For what? For a man who I hadn't seen in 7 or 8 years, who never even attempted to contact me in that time? I told him no, but I gave him the opportunity to meet his son. He just.. left. Without saying a word. My son was confused of course about who the stranger was. I told him that he was no one important.
Matthew returned of course, just like he always did. And several months later, I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl with blonde curls, and Matthew's eyes. We were very happy for about 4 years. Matthew and I loved eachother, our son was growing up to be a fine young man. And our daughter was adorable. Then.. She became sick, and eventually she died. Let's just say.. I didn't handle losing my baby girl well. I don't remember much that happened after that. My son grew up, and married a nice young woman. He also became a knight, like his father was. They had a couple children. Matthew retired from his knighthood, and we lived rather happily together, looking after our grandchildren occasionally.
