I'm a type 2 diabetic (diagnosed in 2003). I'm currently on two types of insulin (Novalin N for bedtime, Novalin R for before meals) and glipizide, an oral medication. Something I use to help lower my blood glucose (blood sugar) level is cinnamon that is commercially prepared. Two capsules with each meal and it does help. I've also taken aloe vera juice when I was on a certain type of diabetic medication called a sulfourea (the juice doesn't work with other oral diabetes meds). The juice helped lower my blood glucose level also.
Of course, proper diet, exercise and staying away from sugar helps a lot too. smile
