while i will not turn down an invite to a fancy dinner date, ordinarily i find my enjoyment of food is heightened if i do not have to shell out too much cash for it.
so, here is a place to share your favorite economical recipes which are still tasty.
for starters, try an iceberg lettuce wedge with this dressing: a couple spoonfuls of mayo mixed with enough milk to make it runny and just a few sprinkles of sugar or other sweetener.
i vary this by adding other flavors such as dill or basil or worcerstershire

take ritz or TownHouse crackers spread them with butter and sprinkle sugar on them.
instantly you have cheap-o cookies!
and they don't taste too bad either.
