I'm guessing to reduce server strain. But maybe they'll "reanimate" at a later time, which would be very cool! I like the halo, and the animation!

Yeah I could see that, but they're running it for like a month, if the servers could handle that couldn't they handle it long term?

I'm thinking this is kind of a test run. I do know lots of folks in the Site Feedback forum seemed put out by the high price of such a temporary effect. And for the other two I completely agree. But I've been wanting a lovely golden halo since I joined, and this is the first chance I've had to get it, so I jumped at it (silly, I know, but there you are).

I'm just sick and tired of Gaia bringing out lush items, and letting them go ridiculously priced without trying to make them atleast remotely obtainable by those that have NO way of getting cash cards~

I've also wanted a gold halo since joining, and I joined not long after the original angelic halo was released. This is far more accessable to the masses, even via the marketplace- it sells in the marketplace for about 720k right now to those who can't get Gaia Cash, as opposed to several hundred million when and **IF** one ever becomes available in the exchange. The animations will probably stop to prevent overload of animations on a single avatar- too much going on in one place will cause pages too load slowly and, honestly, it would be blinding.
I'm just hoping that we'll have more than one post once they become static. Otherwise, I'm quite happy with this halo.
The owl and the blush? Meh...
