Heat Wave

I love the heat like you wouldn't believe, but this.... this is deadly. I feel like I'm going to just pass out right this minute. eek So who else is feeling the heat wave? And are you doing anything to save yourself from the heat, or just laying around hoping for the best? XD

Well, this is VK, reporting from Houston, Texas. We just caught the outer rings of the hurricane. It just barely touched us, so we had about three days of intense storms and cool, windy weather. Unfortunately, it was storming, so we couldn't really enjoy the cool.

For the rest of the summer, it's been so hot that you can literally fry an egg on one of the lids to the manholes in the street. I wouldn't eat it, but it cooks well.

Hence why I will never live in Texas, Arizona, or most of those desert states...it gets too dang hot in the summer. I don't like the idea of being able to fry eggs on the pavement. I will stick with the Wyoming weather, where it will get blisteringly hot some days, and freezing cold some days, but for the most part it's bearable...though I could do with out the wind that blows more often than not here.

I live in Maryland and have been feeling the effects of the heat, hitting above 90 degrees most days and a good chunk of days over 100.

Where I live in the bay area of california it's been in the 80's and 90's which is HOT but alright


here in the central valley of california (fresno county) it's in the 100's and it's disgusting. at least where I come from it's got a cool breeze coming off the water but here it's all flat with nothing but HOT wind... Thank god for air conditioning lol and thankfully I'll be home sunday afternoon!

I tend to be unable to sleep and I have a hard time handling it.

It's hotter on the East Coast than it is here in Texas... it's very strange.

One of my friends said something about mailing blocks of ice to her friends in NYC. xD

It's been in the high 60s, low 70s here.
My favorite kind of weather ;3

Not too hot, but not too cold.
The cool air also makes it more pleasant during the hot days.

Here in CT it's been in the high 80s and 90s all week, the only way I'm able to keep cool is staying in my basement which is nice and cold.

Uhh, if we're having a "heat wave" where I'm at, then when fall rolls around we'll be covered in ice.
