Some pictures that I've drawn are redraws. What I mean by that is that a couple times I would be reading a manga or something and then redraw one of the images. I wouldn't trace though, I'd look at while I drew it bigger (sometimes a lot larger) in my sketchbook.
So my question is...is this cheating? Someone recently harassed me for doing so. So...yeah...

Nope, not at all - the only reason it would be is as if you were taking credit for it, others would deem it illegal because of Creative Commons. Though I think a better word for what your doing is called referencing - its when you use a certain pose or picture as a template to start your work, and wouldn't be considered "cheating." Bottom line is, you can't really cheat in art mrgreen if your friends are dissing you about it, maybe its a way to make themselves feel better - its a sign that your a good artist 3nodding "Rebellion - resistance to or defiance of any authority, control, or tradition."

Thanks, and I never did take credit for the originality, but it was over DevientArt and I didn't know the person so know I feel better, thanks again

You are very welcome, though in manners of Deviantart, the Muro is quite fun to play with mrgreen I'm glad it made you feel better, and are definitely a very prestigious and honorable artist xp
