(And by serial, I mean "they come in a series," not "there are assassins in them"... unless there are assassins in the series...)

That and I really want someone to make Garth Nix's Sabriel into a book.

What one(s) are you waiting for?
What book would you most like to see made into a fabulous movie? (the movie adaptation of Eragon =/= fabulous)

Do comic books count? Because I can't wait for The Avengers and
X-Men: First Class. X3

For actual books, I'ld like to see a remake for Queen of the Damned, because they killed it.

Comic books count.

As long as it has pages and you read it, or it has actors and you can watch it on a TV screen, it's fine by me.

I'm still waiting for the next Harry Potter movie. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1.

I agree with this, and in fact, would die to see the whole Abhorsen trilogy made into movies. It has some potential to make a great movie.

I kind of wish the rest of the His Dark Materials series would be made into a movie, but I doubt that will happen. I really wish that Percy Jackson would be remade to actually even resemble the book series even a tiny bit.

I usually do not condone the making of movies from books, because so few are done right, but I've legitimately enjoyed some of the Harry Potter movies and I love Hayao Miyazaki's rendition of Howl's Moving Castle even though it diverges pretty vastly from the series. Both the movie and the novels are good in their own ways.

I read Howl's Moving Castle after I watched Miyazaki's movie. I loved Miyazaki's movie, but it wasn't nearly as fabulous or detailed as the book. The book was incredible.

I'm currently rereading The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever (Stephen R. Donaldson) as well as The Keys to the Kingdom (Garth Nix), both series, and I think the latter would be a great movie series, but if anyone even suggests adapting the former series for the silver screen (not that anyone ever would; they're somewhat obscure books), I will have a fit which will involve the writing of many angry and/or disappointed blog posts.

I've never heard of His Dark Materials... I ought to look it up, and possibly add it to my ever-lengthening summer reading list.
