This really happened today.
I've been working on this drawing of a city lately. My English teacher, Mrs. Rogers, saw me working on it after our test today. Later on in the class, I was showing it to someone and Mrs. Rogers saw it again, so she said that I had a lot of talent and started talking to me, saying "If I got you a canvas--", but I more-or-less cut her off and said "probably not". ._.
That was first period. After second period, I went a little out of my way to go back to her room. As I was walking up, she kinda walked off and broke two lovebirds apart, but I was there when she returned.
Me: "Hey, Mrs. Rogers, what were you asking in 1st Period?"
Her: "...? Really?" (The look on her face was hilarious. It was all hope-filled and stuff... the person who holds one of my credits in their hands all-but at my mercy... or, that was what her face looked like. xD)
Me: "Yeah."
Her: "Uh... I was asking if you'd do a canvas for my living room if I bought the canvas for you. I wanted to buy one, but they're like eighty dollars!"
Now... I've never been sought by anyone to do art before, 'specially not a teacher... so I almost fell over with excitement. xD
...but I kept my cool...
Me: "Um... Well, the issue with that is I have no paint..."
Her: "What if I bought you paint?"
Me: "Maybe. I need to get to class, but I'll give it some thought..."
...and SO, I ran off to get to third period before the bell rang... I mean, not that I did, but that's not the point. xD
My teacher asked me to do a canvas for her living room. It was good day. xD
