Alpha


Although Couscous tends to wander away from where the herd is most of the time, members still continue to respectfully look up to him for guidance whenever needed, as he is one of the oldest soquili around and experienced. He is as steady as a rock, and will always remain loyal to his herd.

Protector


Whether with the wind whipping at her back whenever on the move or run, or whether calmly resting with the multitude beside a riverbank, Rei finds the job of being the protector of the herd perfect for her. Her innate proud and aggressive behavior allows for her to find her job easy and more often than not, exhilirating. She also has an instinctive ability to sense danger, and is not afraid to face it when the herd is confronted with it.

Secondary Alpha


As the primary alpha is away from the herd most of the time, Maize often finds herself being the one looked up to for directions or guidance from the other herd members. Though she seems almost ideal for the job, being a somewhat old, experienced, and mature mare, she constantly worries about not being suitable for her rank. However, she fills her position greatly, though she doesn't know it.

Herd members are generally treated equally; there is no strict hierarchy. All members should be treated with the same respect and kindness. Though, in times of need, leaders are the ones looked to for direction, and the herd listens.

The alphas (primary and secondary) in this herd do not demand higher respect than other herd members, or if they do, they do not demand much of it. Other herd members may be more uneasy around the alphas because of their title, and by doing that, may unintentionally treat them with more respect and esteem than others--the alphas, however, would rather be regarded as an equal soquili rather than a more superior soquili.

The protectors (primary and secondary) in this herd are qualified for their position--the alphas make sure of that. Protectors in this herd may sometimes be seen as heroes able to fend off anything, when in fact they are more or less strong than other herd members. It is not their physique that allows them to make good protectors, but rather, they posess the unique personality to defend the herd deftly at the right moments.

Occasionally, ranking in this herd may be ordered from oldest members to newly-joined herd members. Opinions of the ones with the most experience in the herd are more likely to be considered than newly-joined members, but there are some exceptions. And of course, the wisdom of soquili in older generations are more often sought than ones of newer generations in the herd. Elders in this herd are treated with dignity more often than the younger members who still have a lot to learn.

Although Couscous is the main alpha of the herd, he does not interact with the members that much. He is often alone by himself, but when prompted by other members, he is mostly indifferent and casual to them.






Kasumi founded the herd with Couscous, and is almost like the herd's mascot. She represents the quietness, kindness, and humbleness the herd wishes to achieve in life. She is very giving and thoughtful, and cares for the herd as if each and every member were part of her own family.






Rei is associated to the herd through her family tie to her father, Couscous. Her father, finding her the most aggressive and protective at the time, allowed her to be the protector of the herd. She is defensive at times, and tries to restrain herself from being close to many members of the herd except for the ones she lives with and her family.






Maize, being one of the founder's daughter, became the second alpha leader of the herd, after her father. Because of her father's oft absence, she finds herself leading the herd most of the times, being asked for guidance and wisdom. Nervousness and anxiety builds up inside her whenever she is approached by a herd member, but her calm exterior tells otherwise.



Dyre








Anubis, one of the lower-ranking of the herd, is also one of the younger members of the herd. Couscous and Maize encountered him whilst exploring and Anubis proved to be a shy soquili who was set off easily but reacted with ease and composure. That being his general personality seems to make him an easy soquili to get close to for most herd members. His exterior may differ from his interior, perhaps?





Orchu is regarded with high esteem, being the mate of herd co-founder Kasumi, friend of Couscous, and acting like a protector at times. He treats others politely and nicely so that there is scarce dislike of him, if any at all. In the herd, when he is not found with Kasumi, he is usually interacting and watching over others.






Roka was born into the herd, the first of his parents' children. Because of his personality, he treats other herd members indifferently, and fails to realize the various feelings and ranking of each soquili. He doesn't seem to care much for anything at all - not even himself. Even so, he is content with this, and has never been seen in a negative mood.





Nora, another soquili born into the herd, aspires mostly to be just like her father.SNDFUOSNE SJDN TIRED

Demon is pompous and arrogant a great deal of the time; yet he can learn to develop respect and trust for others given the time. He respects Orchu and knows the herd means a great deal to him so Demon attempts to lessen his nature whilst around the members of the herd; for Orchu's sake.





Auri often strays from the herd with her wolf companion, Lux. She is tentative when it comes to getting to know others, but when she is well acquainted with someone, she is generally relaxed and has a favorable disposition. Auri can be gallant occasionally and gets along fairly easily with most.





Avaru is eager to please and relies heavily on flattery to submit a decent impression upon others. He is skittish when on his own and feels comfortable as well as safe in group.
