Astronomy - A
While never a class Dave really hated, he detested having to make his way up to a chilly tower at midnight, and he never really tried in the class. He didn't expect anything other than an Acceptable.
DADA - O
This was a class that Dave, once he pushed himself, found himself really rather talented at. He was certainly enthusiastic about learning how to defend himself against magic, and his practice with dueling helped as well.
Herbology - P
Dave always thought this class was stupid, and still found it stupid when exams came around. He didn't study much, didn't care much, and it showed in his Poor grade.
Potions - T
Dave had a history of arguments in this class, and as a result always detested it, even though it was hardly the professor's fault. He never had much faith in potions, and even less faith in his ability to make them. The result was not pretty when exams came around.
Charms - EE
This was a class Elsie really helped him study and practice for, and his grades definitely improved as a result. He found he wasn't half as had at charmwork as he had originally thought. He was happily surprised to get an Exceeds Expectations.
Transfiguration - EE
This was another class Elsie pushed him to work harder in, knowing he could do better than he thought. Dave found himself finding the exam easier than he had thought it would be, and all his studying and practice of the spells over and over again paid off for him.
History of Magic - P
Like Potions, this was another class Dave had a history of picking fights, or getting into arguments about what they were being taught. As a result, he tended to not bother to really learn much of the material, or to just do badly on purpose. His exam was no different, and he only got a Poor.
Ancient Studies - A
While Dave didn't dislike this class as much as HoM, he still struggled in learning his ancient history. He was just happy he got an Acceptable, with everything he forgot.
Arithmancy - A
Dave mostly took this class a bit of a joke, and also to see what it was like. He found himself more interested in than he thought, but he still was never a very good student in it and only got an Acceptable on his exam in it.
Wizard Law - O
This was a class Dave found he really did well in and also really liked learning. Wizard laws interested him, and helped him make a little more sense of the wizarding world. He liked to know there were consequences for those who abused their magic.
Wandless Magic - O
This was another class Dave really liked and tried his hardest in, having always disparaged his wand. Somehow magic without a wand seemed less silly to him, even if it was a lot harder. He wanted to excel at it, and he found he did.
World Studies - EE
Dave liked this class better than HoM and Ancient Studies, maybe because it was more culture and learning about other magical societies. He wasn't sure, but he definitely did better in it, getting an Exceeds Expectations.
