It wasn't early morning anymore, but the sun had still not reached it's peak over pride rock signalling the middle of the day. Mwujuzi had been up early that day. Her mind had drifted early on to thoughts of her past, her previous home, her cubs, and she had spent most of that morning wandering around, reminiscing.
She had no regrets though, she was happy with how things had played out in her life so far, and she was open to the next chapter, whatever it might be. She had found the Pridelands to be a wonderful home, full of lions and lionesses and all manner of other creatures. She felt comfortable here, and although she occasionally missed the wetter climate of her home, she did not long to return.
The golden lioness planted herself under a small tree, it's branches casting a dappled shade on the grass below and stretched herself out. She contemplated what else she might do with her day. Go and play with the cubs perhaps, or maybe head out with a hunting party to bring back food for the lands.

Mwujuzi was a little bit surprised to see the bird swoop down to them. She had seen others with companions like these but had never interacted with one. She watched it land on the lions head and start fussing. She supposed they had been friends for some time. But at least she had learned the name of the grey lion, Wyconda.
The matter of food forgotten for now, she was curious about the bird and it's relationship with the lion. He didn't speak to it either, she noted.
"Hello," she replied with a smile to the avian. "I'm Mwujuzi, nice to meet a feathered friend!"
"He's very quiet, your friend. Not that that matters of course."
Remembering she'd learned his name, she turned her attention back to him, "It's nice to meet you too, Wyconda."
