Today was cause for celebration and distress for the red coated demon, with the help of Noh, had spawned four happy and healthy daughters. One of which even gave the appearance of himself, while another made him double take - the near spitting image of his brother was caught staring back at him. The sight was unsettling and even moreso considering his brother was missing and at this point presumed dead. But yet, through genes, he was haunted. Even the second pale cub, a spitting image of her mother, made the grumpy red lion smile with glee - for even though she didn't have the ideal pelt colors he was sure she'd have a demon. Her mother had one, fought for a position in her home, and won that battle. Perhaps the only reason he had agreed to their pairing, she was powerful.
"Noh, look at them." He spoke with admiration, until his blue eyes settled on the pale cub donning the bat wing, but in those colors. "We've been blessed with at least three little demons." If there was anything he was sure of it was that the fourth would unlikely be a demon, how could she. Even her other pale sister had more luck. "If she's anything like my brother than I doubt she'll make it far in this pride." Though Angra was fairly narrow minded in that he figured one or more of his daughters would become a Nwalm, or perhaps drive to follow in their mothers paw steps.
The look of near dismissal wasn't hidden from her fathers eyes whenever she came into his line of sight - the cub was feeling discouraged by it. However she could always seek comfort in her mothers paws when she needed it. Mabaya hadn't grown sour by her fathers distance, just closer to her mother. So when she was out with them this day she didn't bother acknowleding him, but bumped up against a leg of her mother to get the love she so desired. In silence she was joined by her twin, Nzuri.
Nzuri had no idea what her sister saw when she looked into their fathers pale blue eyes. When Nzuri gazed into them she saw only approval and support. The same could be said from her mother. There was only love for them in both of her parents. So conversations between herself and Mabaya didn't stay away from the topic to long before she was prodded by a concerned Mabaya with a - See! That look!. Which was normally followed by a - I'm crazy aren't I?. Nzuri was nearly prepared to answer that second question with a yes by this point.
Seated with her father she followed suit with Mabaya and moved to bump up against their mother in a fond hello.
