              xxx»» Ridley is very self-sufficient for her age. She doesn't need a lot of coddling. She's perfectly content to be left to her own devices, and can easily entertain herself. She's not exactly anti-social but she does like to be left alone, as she says being around people 'drains her creativity'. She doesn't need looking after for the most part, and can generally be trusted to clothe, feed (small snacks, either cold or with the microwave), and bathe herself. She doesn't ask for help unless she absolutely needs it.

              CURIOUS
              xxx»» Ridley feels happiest when she is learning. What, it doesn't really matter, she just wants to be observing and absorbing new information. She picks things up quite easily, because whenever she is watching them done, she watches quite intently. She finds the simplest things utterly fascinating. You could stick her in front of an educational television program and be confident that she wouldn't budge an inch from the couch until it was over, and that's only if whatever was airing afterwards wasn't equally interesting (which it typically is). She likes to try things herself once she's seen them done, or at the very least 'help' one of her parents show it to her in person if she's seen it on the telly or internet and it's too dangerous for her to do herself.

              CREATIVE
              xxx»» She has grown up around very clever, very creative people. As such, she is growing into being clever and creative as well. She's very witty for her age, with a rather vast vocabulary thanks to the fact that her father doesn't alter his speech for her to understand. She likes to solve puzzles, and will oftentimes solve it the simplest way first, to prove she can, and then find more complicated, interesting solutions just to satisfy her own curiosity. She's also something of an artist, mostly musically thanks to her mum, but she also has an eye for color. She fancies herself an interior designer, and likes to change the arrangement of the furniture in her room frequently. Her first show of magic happened when she was five, when she dreamed a new color scheme for her bedroom and woke to find she'd altered the real room in her sleep to match.

              xxx»» Riddles wears her heart on her sleeve; she's quite open with her opinions and feelings, and doesn't hesitate to say what's on her mind. It's never hard to guess what she's thinking, because it's usually quite evident on her face. She often gets frustrated when she tried to explain something to someone her own age, mostly because her vocabulary is rather advanced for her age and they don't understand her, as it's very important to her that she be understood. That said, since expressing herself this way is in her nature, she has trouble simplifying things. She finds that it's easier to explain herself when she can use her full vocabulary, since trying to think of the equivalent in simpler terms can lose some of what she's trying to get across.

              xxx»» When in doubt, resort to sarcasm. That's how her parents live, and that's how Ridley does as well. Whenever she feels any emotion that would generally be considered negative, she uses her wit as armor, defending herself with sharp words and a haughty tone of voice. Unfortunately, neither of her parents sees the slightest problem with this, so she doesn't even attempt to censor herself for the sake of politeness. When corrected or scolded, she typically responds with... more sarcasm. It's her defense mechanism against anything, and how she deals with people who 'wear her out with their idiocy.'

              BLUNT
              xxx»» Ridley has no filter, whatsoever. She says what's on her mind, and typically gets away with it. Her parents usually laugh it off and claim 'kids will be kids' or something to that effect. In reality, they just think it's funny to see their six year old blab something that they're expected to be too mature to say but are absolutely thinking. She's quite opinionated, and doesn't hesitate to share her opinions with the world at large. As a result, sometimes she comes off as a bit harsh, when really she's just stating things as she sees them.

              CHILDHOOD
              xxx»» Ridley was the product of a scheme by her biological mother, Francesca, to get pregnant by Leslie Lovell in order to convince him to marry her. Leslie, while taking responsibility for the child, despite the fact Francesca had in fact plotted to cause the pregnancy by not taking birth control as she claimed and providing defective contraceptive. After having found out about Francesca's plotting, Leslie hired a lawyer and sued for full custody as he felt Francesca (rightfully so) was an unfit mother. Her father easily won custody of her, and she has never met her biological mother, nor does she have any interest in doing so. She's much happier with her 'real' mother, Tassy. Riddles doesn't actually remember a time when her parents weren't married, or together, but she knows that early in her life they were only 'casual' with one another. According to her father, it was her birth that made them actually make a commitment to one another, with Tassy filling the role of surrogate mother until they were essentially already a family. She finds the concept odd, but then, her parents are odd anyway, so she supposes it makes sense that their relationship would be as well.

              SCHOOL YEARS
                  FIRST YEAR »» Ridley considered her first year of school quite successful. She was, unsurprisingly, sorted into Ravenclaw, and managed to make a few friends of the non-family and non-practically-family variety. She quite likes Hogwarts, and is looking forward to continuing her education there.
