The Festival was long over. Their trek back to the Bird clan's main territory was done. During that time, U'no'le's mother advised she was pregnant to her siblings, as well as his father. It seemed like yesterday the announcement was made.
Uno wished it was that time again. Perhaps then, they could live on the happy memory of their family together, knowing they would be expanding. Now...Now it was just grim within the Kanesda family. With the death of his youngest brother, the normally jovial lion was somber, as was the rest of his family. Sure, he should be upbeat, but it was rather hard to do knowing the life of someone so young was taken.
He hadn't even been given a name.
Maybe that's why U'no was affected so much. He'd just forever call the cub his younger brother. It just didn't sit well.
He excused himself from his parents, his mother nursing the healthy four cubs, as he and his bond Enzi wandered away.
"Cheer up dude." Enzi stated, pecking his ear. "It'll get better!" Maybe it would, maybe it wouldn't. Only time would tell. "Let's start practicing for the next Festival! Maybe you can get past the first level," the bird joked, trying to change the subject.

Tisiphone Not sure if you do quote notifications or not <3
"Hey. Incoming! Hey!" Enzi chirped. Too late. The female had already crossed their path. Maybe, just maybe, she would be able to get the male out of his slump.
"Oh, hi there!" The bird grinned, head turning towards Antigone. "Hey, I've seen you around here before." He commented, "Right, U'no'le?" He asked.
The female's voice did jar the male from his thoughts. His pale green eyes focused on the female, ears flickering at Enzi begun a conversation with her. "Hello," Uno said quietly. "Yeah you're..." he wracked his brain. U'no'le practically knew most of the pride without really knowing them. He learned their names over the course of years from the Festivals. If he could write, he'd have a collection of names and descriptions in a small book hidden with him.
"Antigone...right?" So it may have been weird to actually know the lioness' name without actually have met her before. But, Uno wasn't always the most socially inept lion.
"YES we see you sometimes during the migrations! Especially heading towards the yearly event!" Enzi said excitedly, fluffing up on the male's back.
"What brings you out and about?" The lion asked.
