Itra wasn't sure where she was now. She had left her home out of a brash decision but hadn't regreted it. The only thing she really regreted was that she didn't know where she was and if this place was friendly. The limp in her walk was fairly noticable so she was surprised she hadn't been attacked by anyone yet. Giving a frown she hoped she happened along a friendly face soon, she wasn't able to hunt for herself anymore so she was starting to look a little rough around the edges.

She hadn't really thought about it all the way when she had set out and was now suffering the consequences. Perhaps she should have asked for someone to come with her. She could scavenge but her limp made it hard to hunt still. She needed to practice and get better with three usable legs but she still wasn't sure that would work out fruitfully for her.

Mlinzi hadn't been out long, juuuusst long enough to make it to the outskirts of the pride. He typically had his partner in crime with him, but today he was alone. Which meant he wasn't allowed to travel as far as he typically would be allowed to. His leg was hurting him something fierce today, as it had been fora while lately. The back of his mind had been filled to the brim with horrible thoughts of his symptoms returning. But he had managed ot stave them off thus far, which he felt meant at least something.

Scanning the horizon he noticed a small bramble of herbs that he was seeking. It wasn't much, but it would help to replenish his depleting resources. A small smile crossed his maw as he hobbled over to them and inhaled their somewhat spicy scent. "Hello there fellas, looks like I finally found you!" He giggled silently to himself as he began to gently pick them. So far it seemed, today would be a pleasant day. With only a a bit of displeasure along the way.

The male was extremely friendly and that made her feel a great deal better already. So she had chosen a good route to wander at least. While he hadn't seen her yet, she was seeing him. What was he picking up? As she grew closer she took a seat to take the weight off of her front leg. "Hello!" She called out, she hoped he kept his somewhat peaceful demeanor. She wasn't sure she'd be able to fend him off if it came down to a fight.

As he bent down once more, he ran a paw over what he suspected were the herbs he'd been sniffing out. Smooth, with some fur around the edges, though not enough to give a painful p***k, but enough to give him the information he needed. "Perfect" He mused as he bent down to pull them from the ground with his teeth.

As he bent over the tiny herbs, he heard a sort of cry from somewhere nearby. It didn't seem to be a distressful one, but more as though someone were trying to garner his attention. Gently nibbling on the plant, he was able to unpluck it and place his items in his satchel. He hoped he'd left enough of the Mother plant so he could return again to this plant in the future.

He needed a new pair of eyes, ever since Mezlijin had gone off on his own, his herb picking skills had been lacking .. A LOT. He had definitely allowed himself to get to accustomed to his seeing eye leopon.

Lifting his head to the sky, his ears at full alert, he replied in what he hoped was a loud enough tone. "Hello out there! I know this may come as a shock, but I can't see you. Feel free to wander closer if you'd like, I don't bite. I do however, talk quite a bit!" He chuckled to himself, knowing full well how true that comment was, and hoping that the one who'd called out to him would trust him to be the non threat he was.

"Oh?" She said as she grew closer to him and gave him a curious look over. She was curious to know why he didn't have an escort with him, even if he was able to manage things on his own. What if something seriously bad happened to him? She found her mind racing with all sorts of things but kept her thoughts to herself. "I'm called Itrailde." This sort of almost worked on for her, he couldn't see her terrible limp this way or her scarred leg and chest. It must almost be nice to not be able to judge others by their looks and just go by how they sound and treat you, she almost wished she could switch places with him. "What may I call you by?"

Mlinzi stood proud, his joints as stiff as the dickens, as he allowed the female to approach. He wore a slight smile, very gentle and welcoming, the one he had always been known for. "Itrailde is it?" That's quite a lovely name, though one I have unfortunately never had the pleasure of hearing before." He could hear the female as she approached, she had such soft steps, he hoped he wasn't the cause. Once he was certain she was before him, he could not only smell her at this point but his hearing had become near crystal clear. Where as before it sounded slightly far away. "Ah well that is for you to decide, actually." He paused a moment as a light laugh escaped his maw. "I'm a collector of sorts, you see. I collect nicknames from those I encounter, I actually have quite the collection!" He boasted happily before continuing. "But in the meantime, Pumbaa'Mlinzi is the name, and its wonderful to meet you!"

"Thank you, that's very kind of you to say." She said softly as she moved a little bit closer so he could hear her much better. "That's a neat thing to collect." It was definitely different, she'd never heard of anyone collecting nicknames before. "It's nice to meet you Pumbaa'Mlinzi. Do you have any food or water near here that we could dig into. I've been traveling for quite some time and could use the refreshment."

A subtle smile remained on the male's face as she remarked on his 'collection'. It was a different type of collection indeed, but ever since Kailayna had given him his first nickname, he'd grown rather fond of them, cherishing them deeply. "Indeed it is." He remarked with a slight bark to his laugh. As she began to change the subject, he could feel the need in her words, he'd known that feeling once or twice when he'd wandered off and gotten himself lost along the borders. Food wasn't easy to come by when you couldn't see it, nor tell where you were to even find it. "Ah, there are lots of little snacks all around us, though to be honest, most of them are an acquired taste." He laughed at his joke, thinking back to when he himself first began taste testing different herbs and barks for their properties. "But if it food and water that you require, I think I know just where we can get some!" They weren't incredibly far off from his small camp he'd created along the borders, and his scent alone would be more than enough to guide the both of them back to it. "If you'd like, we can head for my encampment, I have a small stash of food there."

She wondered what kind of snacks he was talking about but figured she'd find out seen enough. "I think that would be lovely. If you but lead the way I'll follow you." She said as she moved closer to him so that she didn't get lost in this strange and beautiful new place.

Perhaps she'll have made a new friend, if even for a short while. He was quite attractive and it had been a very long time since she'd enjoyed having any type of company with another soul. She allowed herself to get lost to her thoughts as she followed along.

"But of course!" He mused, stiffening his body to its full height. "Tread carefully, and stay close. I can have excellent hearing, but terrible eyesight y'know." He bellowed a hearty and laugh, and began the easy trek back to his small camp, being sure to take small slow steps to not leave his new friend behind.
