Name: Karinne
Age: 32
Sex: Female
Sexual Orientation: /squint/
Weyr: Western Weyr
Rider Rank: Wingrider
Previous Rank/Craft: Apprentice Woodcrafter - Carpentry
Physical Description: Karinne is a thicky built woman who has clearly handled heavy things all her life, though her hands are exceedingly delicate considering. She has thick auburn hair and pale amber eyes on a round face with thin lips, a slightly wide nose, and heavy-lidded eyes.
Personality: It is easy to forget about Karinne. There is an absolute plainness about the woman that doesn't lean too far in either direction - her vices seem to really only affect herself and her goodness doesn't reach so far that one could define her as more than simply decent. She is helpful, but not to the point where she's chomping at the bit to do it. She is diligent, but you wouldn't notice it unless she was to stop whatever task she was set to. Content to fade into the background, she is happiest when busy.
It is hard to get under Karinne's skin. She is assured of her worth despite the lack of impression she leaves on others and as she doesn't seek validation from others, she is not easy to manipulate. Unfortunately, that can make it difficult to set Karinne to a task she doesn't want to do on her own even if the intentions are good. She does good and works hard because she wants to, and such things are defined solely by herself. Even threats of punishment don't do the trick.
Because of her lack of presence and independence, Karinne doesn't have much of a social impact and at times it is hard to capture her in the actual here and now, leaving her socially uneloquent and endlessly frustrating to be around for many people. She will always keep a very select group of friends, though it is hard to say who will stick around in the long term.
Positive Trait List Hardworking, Self Motivated, Surehearted
Negative Trait List Easily Forgotten, ONLY Self-Motivated, Socially Frustrating
History: Where Karinne came from before she came into the home of a pair of Woodcrafters is anybody's guess. From a single glance at either man, it was -and still is - obvious she was neither of theirs biologically, and the girl never cared to ask. She was loved, and she was happy to be under both of their feet and have her hands all over their work. Kanrin was a studious maker of furniture, and his husband, Narie, was a capable woodworker at the crafthall in Lemos, processing wood brought in so it could be worked by gentler, more skilled hands.
Karinne, never a bother, suffered little drama in her life. A teenage heartbreak here, an occasional argument with one of her fathers there, but otherwise the most that could have been said about her was that she was exceedingly plain. So plain, in fact, most considered her unnotable until she was Searched at the age of 20 by Benden Weyr.
From there, it would be more of a surprise when the young woman impressed a sturdy blue with perhaps a bit more personality on the surface than she had. The lack of structure beyond the very basics soon had both girl and dragon both at the hold of Karinne's childhood, even if it wasn't much better than Benden in Hrimnith's opinion.
The two were delivering a piece made by Kanrin to Western Weyr when First Fall began, and it was a quick and easy decision for both to make their trip home a quick one - one for goodbyes, to gather up some things, and to permanently settle to a proper cause.

DRAGON
Name: Hrimnith
Age: 11
Color: Blue
Size: 30'
Physical Description: Thick bodied and short legged, Hrimnith is no image of draconic grace and could even be considered stubby to some.
Personality: Stubborn to his very core, to say Hrimnith is pig headed would be giving him more credit than this blue deserves. Even in a losing fight he won't back down - and if he's in the right, he will tear down the skies and dig up every stone from the center of the earth to prove it. Even his rider will find this part of him hard to handle if left unchecked. Further,Hrimnith is judging you, and he is none too gentle about his assessments. Those he thinks are in the wrong will find it hard to dig themselves out of that pit and those he thinks are in the right? He will follow them to the ends of Pern and it will be exceedingly difficult to convince him to do otherwise.
This makes him a good ally to have in your corner and a bad enemy to have. But it also gives the impression that he's exceedingly stupid. Which he is, to a degree. Hrimnith is a very superficial dragon which will show in the company he keeps in all forms. This also reflects in how he presents himself, despite the innate ugliness one could say he has about him. He is always immaculate, and will be just as particular about his gear, his placement in wing formations, and the presentation of his rider. This makes him as reliable as clockwork, but he'll also nitpick those around him and may be inclined to talk back at those in a position of authority over him.
At the end of the day, his sense of natural goodness and dedication to the cause he was born to shine, if not a little frustratingly.
