If she was being completely honest, she was thrilled that they were old enough to take out of the den at this point. While the joys of motherhood were a blessing to behold, she was tired of being cramped up with them for hours on end and now that they were able to get out and stretch their legs she HOPED upon HOPE that this little outing would wear them out enough to make them pass out and give her a few hours of peace. Don't get her wrong, she LOVED them all a great deal, she just needed a little break at this point.
"Alright children, now behave yourselves." Her voice soft as she allowed them the freedom to dart around as they pleased, the area was quite open so the chances of losing them were rather slim. Still, it wasn't like she just had one or two to watch.

FREEDOM! The oddball of the litter dashed forward, in front of her family, pale eyes glinting mischievously. OH! What is that!? Crouching low as a butterfly fluttered in front of her she wriggled her rear end and pounced towards it, paws outstretched and came up short. The tiny huntress already failing in her mighty duties, this bug would not thwart her! So she pounced again, trying to capture it once more and still failing. Frowning she sat down defeated, well this wasn't any fun.
"Maybe one of you will have better luck than me." Ears folded back in mild disappointment at her complete and utter failure to capture a simple butterfly.
The green colored avian floated in the air above the small group and caught a small draft that carried her upwards, higher into the milk scattered blue above. She quite enjoyed the small family and was like a backup pair of eyes for the two adults, it never hurt to have another body on the lookout. Dipping down she kept an eye on them as she hovered in the upwards draft.

Kamau had followed right on the tail of their white-furred sister, a look of curious wonder in his tan eyes as he looked over the wide opened land. At least to his inexperience the area their mother let them out into looked absolutely huge! "Oh wooow~" After taking it all in, he turned to check in with Mom to make sure that they were alright. A bright smile lighting his face when he didn't see any obvious worry on her face.
She said to behave themselves, but she didn't say anything about exploring, rough housing. Obviously if she was against that sort of thing she would have said so. Ears pressed forward he found his attention flicking from one thing to the next before the sound of his siblings voices caused his ear to twist their direction. A quick glance showed they weren't doing anything super interesting, but that could change in an instant! So he turned their way and padded over with a confident bounce in his step. He already felt like an outside pro.
"Hey, Kamaria, Dustu." His greeting was quieter than normal, as if he was trying to keep the conversation between the three of them alone. "Do you guys want to go exploring?"
Mom told them to behave, not to stay close. After all, how could she expect that with all the new things they could find!
