EMPATHETIC Elias often feels conflicted about his own compassion. Truthfully, he's a softie when it comes to his peers, but he's not a truly a fan about it. When it comes down the wire, Elias has been known to consider the selfish route before ultimately succumbing to doing what would be better for those he cares about.
STRAIGHTFORWARD Elias has never been afraid to level with someone in any discussion. He finds it quite efficient to be brief and get to the point, so much that almost any conversation over 10 minutes starts to feel like a waste of his time. Why can't everyone else just say what needs to be said so we can all move on? Patience is not a strong suit for this one.
INSTINCTIVE Elias was taught by his father to go with his gut. Second thoughts cause too much panic and doubt, as his father always told him. Make one move, and make it quick. Elias, being as young as he is, incorrectly took this to mean that it doesn't matter if it's the right decision, as long as it's the quick decision. With luck and guidance, though, that might change.
HONEST Eli can count the number of times he's lied on one hand, and has found that in each occasion, nothing good has come of it. It does solve short-term issues, but all around just makes things worse in the long run. Now as far as a long-run, Eli's a bit too young to see the big picture, but can see that life is pretty simple if you just say what you mean, and mean what you say.
ENTITLED Eli takes pride in his pureblood status. Wizarding world, born and raised! Understanding there's more to a person than just their race, he also understands that in today's world, purebloods tend to have more favor in their corner, and his empathy isn't exactly strong enough to push him to want to change that either.

EARLY CHILDHOOD The Locke family household was comprised of Eli's Ravenclaw father, Everette Locke, and Gryffindor mother, Rosa Locke. Elias grew up as an only child, with a loving, but firm, parenting, as they both pushed to make sure Elias had plans of success before he even was close to receiving his letter.

Everette understood that any study of underage magic could probably be swept under the rug with the Ministry if Eli hasn't even started his first year. With that in mind, he at least wanted to make sure Eli would have a leg up on the competition, and be familiar with basic theory of first-year charms and spells. Rosa, however, wanted to have a quidditch star for a son, and set aside time every other week for studying quidditch strategies, and would occasionally play catch with Eli, using a gold-painted rubber ball roughly a little larger than a golden snitch.

"You'll thank me for all of this later, trust me," is what Elias would hear intermittently from both his mother and father. "We're just trying to make your life easier."

Elias couldn't see it though. He has no idea what lies ahead of him, and despite what his mother and father say, he doesn't know if he's ready. Bottom line, he wants his Hogwarts experience to be his own, and not defined by his parents.
