Maya is always down to explore, her curiosity propelling her to seek out new thrills and drama. Unfortunately, she's adventurous in every sort of way, so expect her to ask probing questions that, on occasion, seem a little overly invasive.

Maya's got an abundant supply of energy that never seems to wane. She's always got something to do and never wants to sit still.

No matter what is said, Maya's always quick to remark with some sassy comeback. She doesn't mind who she's sassing, as long as she can manage to avoid trouble.... though her smart mouth has been known to land her in hot water before.

Whether it's facing the big, spooky spider in the corner or trying to fly upside down, it takes a lot to scare Maya. She's always willing to try something new and rarely has reservations in doing so.

Despite her rather reckless personality, Maya's got her mom's wicked smarts. Of course, she's usually using her smarts to systematically skirt rules without outright breaking them. That way, she can't technically get in trouble... or... that's the plan anyway.

If ever there's a time Maya's not running around, she's probably talking someone's ear off. Luckily, she's usually got friendly topics, but if you get her set off on quidditch you'd better be in for a long, one-sided conversation. Unfortunately, no one's quite figured out how to stop her crazy rants.

Maya was born the first child of James and Lyre Masters. She got to grow up right beside the beach with all the room in the world to run and play. She was three when her parents told her she'd be getting a baby brother, which she wasn't excited. Unfortunately, they turned out to be correct and suddenly she had a little baby in the family. Luckily, she begrudgingly began to love the baby, though she didn't exactly love that all kinds of cousins were suddenly moving in. She grew up in a crowded house that ended up depleting like clockwork every time a school year rolled around, allowing her more freedom. On her Eleventh Birthday, Maya was gifted a Hogwarts letter of her very own, and she was very, very excited for the adventure to begin.

Maya spent most of her time at school either hanging out with friends or playing quidditch. She was accepted as the team's Seeker, though she never earned the title of captain. She did, however, get the title of Prefect, much to her shock. Around that time, she started dating Jass, who had become the captain, and the duo realized their compatibility stretched beyond the pitch. She did well in all her exams, both times, which made her parents happy. Shortly before graduating, someone from the Harpies offered Maya a spot on their team. After careful thought and weighing her options, Maya decided to accept the offer.
