Honestly, it was rather refreshing to get to work with her knife - although in this case, Kedah was making use of one of the Weyr's butcher knives. Something a bit large and more sturdy than her throwing daggers. Not that those weren't sharp enough to cut through flesh, but bone? That needed something more like this.
Holding the knife in a practiced grip, Kedah chopped merrily away. "Does it bother you?" she asked, working methodically. This was more pleasant than, say, trying to sew patches on clothes. That was something the girl would never be good at. Not even close.
