Western Weyr Bowl & Infirmary
This thread is for all RP to happen that is NOT taking place in the Threadfighting threads! The location here is the Western Weyr Bowl, and is where white, green, and blueriders waiting to join in the fight wait; it is also where healers, dragonhealers, and goldriders not tapped to fight this Fall are waiting so they might help comfort and care for the injured. Thisi s for all RP happening outside of the Fighting Wings--your riders may RP in this thread pre-Fall, upon their return, or after Fall finishes. Non-Riders in the Weyr may also RP here. Riders who are returning due to injury will use this Thread to roll their Healing Grid.
Threadfall is not expected to fall directly over the Weyr so temporary tents and triage locations have been set up in the Bowl for easier access to riders and dragons. There are large tabs for riders to be dunked, large pots and jars full of numbweed, redwort, and even vials of fellis all readily available.
Junior weyrlings (if any) and Candidates will be under strict guidance to roll bandages, bring out more beds, change sheets, clean sheets, bag up extra firestone, carry firestone sacks to their pickup location, etc. as well as assist when asked. No matter their former craft or experience or age, Candidates will not be assisting healers or dragon healers-- NO EXCEPTIONS! This is purely because right now it's life-or-death and one minute too long, one moment's hesitation, could be deadly. Candidates are not their former crafter selves, so the only thing they should be doing is staying out from underfoot.
Any trouble brewing or Candidate who thinks they know better will be in serious trouble. No matter if they were a journeyman before Candidacy, they are a Candidate or Weyrling, and their job is not to be a Big Damn Hero and get in the way.
For any riders who have some formal craft training in healing, and whose dragons are either grounded or retired from fighting, you MAY be on hand to help assist the actual healers. Please note, though, that you are under their jurisdiction and order.
If you're not sure what your non-rider, Candidate, or character would be doing, please reach out to Cheri or Uta and we can help you out!
OOCly please understand that even if there aren't any PC Healers or Dragonhealers, Western Weyr has A TON of them. Your wounded rider will NOT be ignored or neglected; if no one is around to RP the scene with you, you'll just have to write it yourself with some NPC or just assume they are being cared for. Please do not claim your injured rider or dragon is being ignored for that is outright false and not how Weyrs work.

Western Weyr Threadfall!![User Image](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/334366807907500032/560286800204267561/WesternMap.jpeg) Thread will begin over the territories of Sun Dust Hold and Redoubt, falling over the deserts and the minor holds that make it home. It will directly over Western Hold, as well as some of the plains, and end somewhere over the northern and eastern jungles of Paradise Falls Hold.
Location: Western Continent Weyr Western Weyr Flight Type: Solo -- Western Weyr Only Time: 8 hour Fall Rotations: All greens & blues will switch with their backups at Hour 16:00, 18:00, and 20:00. Whites will rotate every hour.
Wings will rotate altitudes every Hour, and will rotate "down". So Low Altitude riders will switch up with the High Altitude riders, to do some near constant flaming of thread. Mid Altitude riders will switch with the Low Altitude riders, to replenish their stone, feed their dragon more stone, and have less Thread to worry about, but more gusts, and loose strands/patches. High Altitude riders will move to the Mid Altitudes, which requires more technique, but less constant flaming.. Current altitude assignments are as follows and will switch every hour meaning each Wing will fight every altitude level once, and one altitude level twice.
High Altitude: Flame's Fury Mid Altitude: Star Flame Low Altitude: Fire Storm
Note: The Queen's Wing comes together as one large Wing for Threadfall. This fall will be lead by Elysia and Sheyoth. Faroe & Neliath will be backup should anything happen to Sheyoth. Hestina and Treth decided, with their title as Weyrleader, to join R'mor and Junenth in Zephyrus Wing.
Threadfall Begins: Early Afternoon -- 1400 Threadfall Ends: Night -- 2200
If you're in need of replenished firestone, call on the Cocktail Clutch to assist you! OOCly, folks can also make up an NPC from the Queen's Wing (semi-retired or injured rider) hat helps them out!
Holds & Territories Effected: Redoubt Hold and surrounding Territory, north-eastern Sun Dust Territory, northern Rivercrest Territory, northern and eastern Western Hold Territory, Paradise Falls Hold and surrounding Territory
Weather Forecast: Clear skies the first half of Threadfall, though some cloud coverage and stronger winds will increase as the wings fly through overlapping fronts; additionally, convection from the day will fire up thermals and strong gusts as the land heats up; this is particularly noticeable as they move over Rivercrest and Western Hold territories. As evening approaches, cloud cover will grow denser as they fly over the more humid climates over Paradise Falls Hold. Visibility will be the greatest threat as night approaches.
Fall Type: Projected to be heavy fall! Casualties are expected, especially during the later hours as dragon's begin to tire, and the sun sets. There will be two hours of flying in the cover of total darkness so be ever alert! Be sure to bring your glows and fit your dragon with their night-flight gear. Browns, bronzes, and Golds, you'll need to wear it from the start; greens, blues, and whites, come prepared as we reach the second half of Fall.
Fall Difficulty: High. Fly with extreme caution. Injuries expected.
Weyrleader Hestina's Comments: "I cannot mince word's with you, my friends. This fight will be a long, hard battle. We stand here today knowing that we may give our lives but it will not be in vain! Some among us may even be called upon to make the ultimate sacrifice. Each one of us has prepared for this day--but we will not go down without a fight. Each of us has prepared ourselves to face odds tougher than this; Western riders are made of sterner stuff. We are ready and the Thread will not wait. Fly, Western, and fly true." They could, if truth were to be told, afford little else.

Threadfall Will Automatically Begin at 12:01am PT May 19!
For now, feel free to RP your characters preparing to launch, making last minute checks, and feeding their dragons firestone. Kiss your loved ones goodbye,or kiss your crushes if you've the nerve, cause it's gonna get real heavy, real quick.
Also, white, blue, and green riders, decide now which ones will be First Wave and which ones will be Second Wave. First Wave will start off the first two hours, Second Wave will cover the Third and Fourth hours.
If you've got any characters you want to participate, better get them finished soon! You can always toss them in during Second Wave too. Threadfall will officially begin at 12:01pt!
NEW: Each Hour and Round will automatically begin at 12:01am PT everyday. Cheri and Uta will not be announcing change over! Simply assume you're given the signal to change automatically.
Uta and Cheri might make announcements or flavor text with the Weyrleadership throughout the game, but it just assume the next Round and/or Hour begins at 12:01am pacific time!

Vennodren of Green Nzambith Hour 1 | Round 1 HP: 18/25 Status: Painful 1/3 Roll: 5/5 Target Accuracy: 2 Flame Length: 3 General Stamina: 6 General Agility: 2 Between Accuracy: 2 Pain Resilience: 5 Instinct: 2 Luck: 4
Quote: 51-75. The healer looks at your wound and starts trying to patch you up. They're not being particularly gentle on you, but you can tell they're quite invested in making sure your wound (or your dragons) heals right! Unfortunately, that's going to take some time. Return Request Denied! Regain +5 HP but re-roll from the Healers Grid! You still haven't been given clearance to return!
Vennodren hopped off Nzambith the moment they landed, letting the Healers take a look at her. He moved to the front of his dragon and reached up to take her head in his arms, smoothing his gloved hand over her cheek as the Healers began to work their magic.
"All right, so we had a rough start," he told her hollow-looking eyes. She had rather terrifying, rotting markings but to Venn, she was the most beautiful dragon there was. "We'll get back up there and show that Thread who is boss!"
Nzambith, on her part, simply closed her eyes and let her rider hold her head up as she let the Healers patch her up.

XP: Target Accuracy: 4 Flame Length: 4 General Stamina: 4 General Agility: 9 Between Accuracy: 4 Pain Resilience: 4 Instinct: 4
As much as Alihath felt as if she had let her wing down, thankfully, the healers made little work of her situation. Her face was looked at, cleaned up with redwort, and coated with numbweed, which immediately gave her relief; her wing was looked over, and while there wasn't much to be done, they were able to help give her some relief.
"Be sure to watch it--if it gets any worse, you bring her back." Or so the stern Journeyman dragonhealer told him.
"I won't take any chances," L'tia promised.
All in all, it didn't take them long to get back into the air and rejoin their Wing.
