Rules and Directives

Directive:

It is the spoken goal of the pack to provide a family to any Wild Dog that wishes to be strong and to create a force powerful, influential, and intelligent enough to combat and eventually take over the Lion run world of the savannah around them. Wild Dog and Hyena are often looked down upon by the feline groups, and the Roketi seek to position themselves so high on the food chain that even lions have to look up at them.

Joining:

There are two methods of joining the Roketi pack! The first is the primary way, where a sheer showcase of ability and usefulness to the pack is presented to its leader. The second is for those who fail in their presentation, or who wish to bypass that effort by a show of pure force and power: a victory in battle with one of the pack's trained and chosen muscle.

ICly, these joining RPs may mostly be handwaved, save final approval from the Boss. That will most likely come in the form of a ORP thread. There are currently no OoC activity checks or RP requirements to remain in the pack.

Showcase:
One method of joining the pack is proving one's worth to the overall goals of the pack itself. If a candidate has a skill or ability they excel in, or if they have the confidence to present themselves as an asset to the pack, the Boss will listen. He is critical of what it takes to be a member of his team, but he gives everyone a fair chance. If the skills presented don't seem outright applicable to the pack, or he can't think of a way to utilize them, he will have the joining member run an errand or fulfill a skill test in order to convince him. Joining this way may allow immediate access to specific ranks within the pack's teams.

Battle:
When all else fails, brute force is always a welcome skill to have in the pack. If a candidate can just prove their strength by defeating one of the Admins in a one on one battle, they will gain an introductory rank into the pack. It might be starting from the bottom, but it is the easiest and most direct path in for most members, who then cultivate their skills around the needs of the pack itself to rise up through the ranks. The Boss rarely engages in these battles himself, but in the very rare instance when someone particularly catches his attention, he may offer to personally engage a joining member in battle. In this case, win or lose, that wild dog will most likely be allowed into the pack under the Boss' eye.

Leaving:

While not encouraged, and certainly looked on with derision, choosing to leave the pack is allowed. Of course, it's a dog eat dog world out there, and if blood needs to be spilled to join the pack, then it most certainly will to leave it. Any rumor of a dog trying to leave, or if a pack member gets themselves kicked out of the pack or a team, will result in a small team of Admins and other brutish members of the pack paying that dog a visit. Just to say good bye, and make sure they leave knowing where they stand in the world now that they mean nothing to the Roketi. Wild Dogs kicked out of the pack are free to be hunted and targeted by its members, though no one speaks of this practice out loud.

Pelt Colors:

While there are no steadfast rules on pelt color within the pack itself, members do tend to have darker color furs. Of course, pokemon themed members are always welcome.

Relationships:

As long as relationships do not get in the way of work within the pack, the Roketi have no real concern over them. Standard rules of the shop apply. No incest to any degree is permitted. As long as a pack member, from Admin to Grunt, remains useful and loyal to the pack, they are allowed to live their private lives as they so choose. There is no stigma against same-sex pairings or open relationships.

Rogue breeding is allowed/encouraged as long as new members return to the pack after the encounter. This could mean returning with a mate or a fling, or agreeing to return with some or all of the pups after the encounter. Of course, there are never any questions asked as long as the pack grows. Hyrbids are a non-issue, for obvious reasons.

Familiars:

Feline familiars are preferred! No canines or canine-like familiars are permitted, as they are considered regular members of the pack.

Species:

Primarily a Wild Dog pack, though any canine-esque species is allowed. Hyena are treated almost the same as Wild Dogs. The only difference is Wild Dogs alone main obtain Admin ranks. There are very, very few exceptions made for felines, particularly Lions, though it is known to happen. The Boss' personal bodyguard is a lion, after all.

Naming:

Pokemon theming is always appreciated, specifically for Wild Dogs born into the pack. Outsiders are not required to change their names upon joining, but may. Pokemon themed names could be a pokemon species in a different language, translated attack names, or names with meanings that tie in to a pokemon's type or dex entry.

Creed and Ambitions

Creed:

Take the Wild for the Dogs.

Foundation:

Sakaki has always been a wily, confident and dangerously shrewd individual. Even growing up, he noticed the differences forced upon his breed by those that called themselves superior: the lions. Stolen from his home at a young age to be a slave in a lion pride, Sakaki focused on himself and his own growth as he spent every day plotting his escape. He managed this at a young age, even convincing a lion sent to hunt him down and bring him back into being his personal body guard. Even so, his hatred of lions was cemented at a young age, and he spent his early adult years traveling with a festering anger that he felt no reprieve from.

After witnessing an attack on a Hyena, but finding himself unwilling to risk being killed himself in an effort to stop it or save them, something clicked in his mind. The hierarchy needed to change. Wild Dogs, Hyenas, and other canine-esque breeds were capable of so much more than they were given credit for. Underestimated due to their general lack of physical strength, they needed a new way to create a reputation. To think and slink their way to the top of the food chain, and disrupt the power struggle Sakaki saw as inevitable and eternal between them and the felines that stood on them like they were nothing but waste.

They needed each other.

Sakaki now roams the rogue lands searching for Wild Dogs to join his Family, his Team of those willing to take the risks necessary to promote their entire species. Where he failed once, he would never do so again: but he would also never be alone again. None of them would. As a unit, a team, they would thrive and always be growing. Always be gaining presence and power. He seeks Wild Dogs with strength, with brains, with goals and ambition. He seeks those with anger, with hurts, with troubled pasts or dangerous futures. He seeks those he can control, those he can't predict, and those that may one day continue his ultimate vision: a natural world without lions.

Ultimate Goals:

Sakaki aims to create bases of his pack all over the rogue lands, situated near or close enough to lion prides he sees as adversaries or targets of his immediate goals.

Any pride or group, or even homeless Lions that took it upon themselves to take a 'companion', is a target if they use Wild Dogs or Hyena (or canine familiars) as slaves, servants, or some otherwise undignified or disrespectful role. Prides that bind them are also due hostility, and are targets for raids, to be stolen from, or for some other kind of mischief making to weaken them from the inside out.

While freeing his kind from control is his ultimate goal, sending his ranks into danger is a known risk, and one he trusts his chosen to take on. This can sometimes lead to failure and loss, and a good deal of danger. They would be seen as villains by most, but it was something he was willing to take on.

Public Face:

Main pack lands and headquarters exist like any other pack or pride: they are friendly, welcoming, and a nice place for Wild Dogs to live in peace. Only those that prove themselves will have their eyes opened to the ultimate goals of the pride, and the more dangerous roles, but even then keeping up appearances is vital. There will always be members that know what is going on, and there will always be those that do not. Innocence is one of the most effective tools Sakaki can use in this goal.

Pack Ranks and Jobs

Rank Hierarchy:

Ranks in the Roketi are divided among the Teams created under its larger banner. Every Team is ruled by the Boss, Sakaki, and his Admins, while also having their own administration structure of their own. The highest ranked member of a Team, the Patriarch or Matriarch, falls just below the lowest ranked Admin in general power, but are still respected and acknowledged by all lower ranks in all other Teams.

As it stands, the only Team at the moment is the main Pack, the Rocket Team. More may be developed by members of the pack, and expanded into new territories as smaller fractions of the pack to grow their numbers, power, and the spread of their power! If anyone is interesting in starting their own Team, please contact Lithiasaur! Pokemon influences are thoroughly encouraged, and it is recommended to look at Teams like Flare, Plasma, Aqua and Magma as examples! Some of these may come as canon or event Teams later, but plotting is always welcome and encouraged!

Alliances:

This pack is open to making allies with any other Wild Dog or Hyena packs, though they must vaguely align with the ideals of this pack. Or at the very least, not try to get in the way of their ultimate goals.

Rivals:

Any and every lion, leopard, or cheetah group are considered enemies, but sometimes specific prides stick out. If any pride wants to cause particular trouble with, or form a grudge and become a target of, the Roketi, please contact Lithiasaur for plots! Particularly those groups that use canine-esque breeds as their form of servant or some other form of lesser rank. The Roketi are all about Wild Dogs, and seek to free those forced into servitude. Whether it really is that way, or just how the Roketi view it.
