Did you ever notice that chip bags are only half full when your buy them? They are not giving you what you pay for. It kinda sucks.
What do you think?

they"settle" but my idea is on top of settling they fill them with plenty of air.... so they don't collapse when it settles I suppose.... but theycould put mopre chips in and then less air and it would still be stable and attractive.

Supposedly the "contents settle during shipment," but yeah, it always annoys me.

They are giving you what you pay for, chips are sold by weight and not by volume. The same amout of chips could be put in a bag big enough for a house and still cost the same.

at school 2 years ago, a kid bought a bag of chips out of the vending machines. it was heavier than the average bag of chips and when he opened it, there was a mouse in there. eek

Well.. if I found a mouse in my chips.. I'd definately put in a complaint... eek
But seriously; if they're going to sell chips by volume, then why don't they make a package specifically designed to hold exactly that volume of chips, instead of getting our hopes up for a full bag...? Well, that volume plus an obvious ammount of air.
*takes foot out of mouth* That's what Pringles are.

When I open a bag of chips at my school there is only about 12 chips in the bag. Its costs $1 only to find 12 chips that r very small because they were crushed by other students.

Maybe it is done so if you open it the chips wont pop out with them and it might overflow (blah you get my point)

I think they should get slightly bigger bags and put what should be in the small bags and put them in the big bags, problem it'd cost more or people would gripe that there aren't enough chips in their bag because they still have to put the air in it.
