Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner ~ Raidou Kuzunoha vs. The Soulless Army, I mean.
Apparently, the hero of this game can capture demons in these vials and summon them into battle! xD

I would.
If you can capture demons and release them in battle, I would call it quite similar to Pokemon.
You also have to earn the loyalty of the demons through battle, and use their powers to hit the weakness or your enemies.
The only different between SMT: Devil Summoner and Pokemon is the fact that SMT: DS looks more darker and the hero fights along his demons.

I'd say it's more like Chaos Legion then Pokemon then.

Doesn't remind me at all of Pokemon. Well maybe the concept a little, but then all games resemble each other.

it sounds more like Time Stalkers for the Dreamcast. That game was an RPG style game in which you could capture creatures in vials and summon them to assist you. It was sweet.
