w007!!!
I was getting quite distressed at the lack of comic bookery.
I've been collecting since I was seven...memory's a *wee* bit hazy by now, but I'm pretty sure I can blame Spider-Man for my entry into the field.
Favorite characters:
Eat Man Spider-Man Flash Green Lantern Superman The Fantastic Four (yes, all of them!) Batman Robin (Tim Drake) Naruto (I know, I know... redface ) Junpei (Megatokyo) Largo (also Megatokyo) Hayasaka Erika Jack Horner Bigby Wolf
Favorite books:
Lone Wolf and Cub One Piece Megatokyo Eat Man Trigun Naruto Fables Jack of Fables Batman Fantastic Four Justice League of America Amazing Spider-Man Astonishing X-Men Runaways Thunderbolts Moon Knight Flash Bone Punisher: War Journal
Y tu?

It's actually Joss Whedon- Mr. Buffy the Vampire Slayer hisself!
It's working out pretty well so far he's nailing all the kids really well, I just miss pacheco (?)'s art- the world seems so muxh mor edarnb with the new art team.
Next to take over, and permanently- I can't remember but it's the writer/creator of Strangers in Paradise.
Is very curious to see...

I've been reading comic books since before I could read. xd It started with my dad's collection of Harvey Comics like Casper, Richie Rich and Wendy etc - we still have hundreds of those. biggrin I also started out with Asterix and Obelix, some of the best comics ever written if you ask me (except the latest ones, they're pretty crap). I also used to enjoy Archie Comics a lot and for a long time taht was all you could get in my country, but they've become so badly drawn nowadays that I'm just not interested anymore. I currently enjoy the MAD Magazine and mangas like Peach Girl, Azumumanga Daioh and Marmalade Boy... I also enjoy some modern superhero stuff, but it's not that easy to get hold of where I live. I also read an amazing graphic novel called "Ojo" about 2 years ago, highly recommended!!
So yeah, my favourites are comic books with humour. Been collecting for years and I must have something like a thousand all in all.

I like comics. I like to look at the comics on newspapers and a book filled with many of my fave. strips. The only one I like the most is The Boondocks. I'm sad that it's removed from the weekly papers.

Comics are wonderful. I really like Spiderman comics, though more often than not I end up getting them from the library or sitting in the middle of the aisle in a local bookstore and reading them while there for something else from the store. I'm also in the process of collecting copies of all available volumes of D.Gray-Man and Saint Seiya, if you've heard of either of those Japanese series.

leanbh_fiata So yeah, my favourites are comic books with humour. Been collecting for years and I must have something like a thousand all in all. Some american books you might enjoy greatly: Bone by Jeff Smith Amazing Spider-Man spefically all of the issues since the end of the storyline called 'One More Day'. They've done a fantastic job of reintrouducing the humor Spidey has been so known and loved for, but has been so woefully absent from his comic books for YEARS. Any Fantastic Four comic books written by Mark Waid. The Tick by Ben Edlund. Girl Genius by Phil Foglio. Megatokyo by Fred Gallagher.

prodigy_ninja I like to reading if it's about detective story (O YEAH!) rofl Teens's love story? not bad! I also read it! Grant Morrison's Batman is actaully getting a lot of good old fashioned Batman-as-DETECTIVE stories in. Highly recommended. You like teen romance? You too should try Brian K. Vaughn and Joss Whedon's Runaways. 3nodding

Venom i mostly only read whatever is at my library, but whenever i get out to the mall or book stores i buy like $50 worth of comics I read the first two issues of Joe Straczynski's Thor, and liked it all except for the fact that he established the Norse gods as being imagined to life by humans. Did he keep that? As for Deadpool, until you have read Joe Kelly's Deadpool monthly from the 90's and Agent X, you know not what you miss. ^_____^ For the bestest nummy Venom action *I've* seen in the past five years or so, I recommend The Spectacular Spider-Man, by Paul Jenkins (issues #1-6, I belive, were the Venom story), Beyond, by Dwayne McDuffie, and Thunderbolts, by Garth Ennis.
