City of Technology, Alchemy and Subterfuge

The gem of its world where every race gathers. Impossibly large and divided into four quadrants each a city in itself where you can get anything and everything not only for the right price, but only if you can find it.

Technology - While its outside world is similar to our own, Dogmar itself is -and always has been- scientifically advanced. Dogmar - a town where the rich buy hovercraft instead of sports cars of motorcycles. Where every restaurant is open to the road and drive-throughs are considered tacky. Where police know everyone and everything that happens.

Or they think they do.

Everything must come with a price.

Alchemy - While advanced science is the present, many think it comes with a price - magic. A barrier is set up nightly. mage's, elementals, and scientists are all well thought of, but it's the alchemists, the ones that combine those elements, who are the true political rulers, the dictators.

Subterfuge - Dogmar considers itself a safe city - during the day. At night the laws don't apply and the true inhabitants tell the world why Dogmar is not a world attraction. At night, even the alchemists refuse to leave their homes.

While its pride is an open market, Dogmar's heart is the black one, existing in the catacombs under the city and moving on a regular basis so even the walls talk, but no one lives to tell their tales.

If I feel that your character is being abusive just to irritate that person, I'll ask you to lighten up. However, and evil character will be expected to do such things, so please don't complain about the small things. A couple of my characters are moody and distant, so don't take things personally.

SECTORS

Dogmar is split into four sectors -each a city in itself- surrounded by its own wall. There is the Market and the Schools are located in the center where the four walls meet, but outside of that you have to go through guarded gates. Many fractions exist as well.

Northern.
Where the rich and political dawn. However, it is often where most of the subterfuge starts and the assassins and bounty hunters get their highest pay. It is also said the Northern Lord works with the Underground Ringleader.

Western.
Where the day lovers reside. Healers, teachers, and peacemakers live here. The Archives and healer's quarters are located here. However, those who are devoted to the white arts are often the ones with the most to atone for.

Eastern.
Where the night shifters live. Assassins, bounty hunters and refugees live here. No one but the strong dare enter here, not because of the danger, but the temptation. The dark can hide not only sins but the purest of truths as well.

Southern.
Where the arts dwell in twilight. Those who do anything from paint to farm, make weapons to sell flowers, give love potions to create poison can be found here. Probably the most stable of the sectors, it has its own economy away from the government.

Underground.
The unknown. Nothing has ever been recorded about the Black Market. More a group of people than a section, they move in the catacombs on an unknown basis. It's said that they work for the greater good, but not always in the best of ways.

Open Market.
The place where goods are traded for goods, not money. While the main area is made entirely of temporary tents that change constantly, people who wish not to be part of a sector often rent out the permanent stores around it so to appeal to more than one group.

Schools.
These are where the scholars go, to learn different languages. This is also where the martial and defensive arts are taught.

These are the sectors. The boundaries of Dogmar. That hardly means they're always followed. While a healer stands out in the East and an assassin in the south, it's not uncommon and never unheard of.

=No person that comes to destroy the city with a single thought. It'd kind of ruin the thread. If you want to be a person that slowly tears it apart with an evil plan in mind, welcome to Dogmar, but please, don't just walk in and blow half the city up right off the bat. If you want to blow up a large part, PM me with the reason, and I'll more than likely approve it if you've played for a while.
=Be original. Make sure that bot to many other people have that occupation or personality. If there's a lot of assassins, pick something else. If there's a lot of quite moody people who don't ever speak... well that doesn't get very far does it?

Bio- Calista is smart and more than willing to pass her knowledge on to those looking for it. She hadn't always lived in the Western sector, but settled down there once she was done crafting her powers. She loves the city but also enjoys spending time in the forest, mostly collecting herbs to use. Calista is soft spoken, yet opinionated. She's usually pretty logical about everything and isn't too quick to let herself get carried away.

Talents- has a Darkside and a Lightside, the lightside, he can reach out and read thoughts and emotions, calm people or whip them up into a frenzy. He can alter emotions and thoughts in this form. When he is in his darkside he can reach out with shadows to take control of people instead of alter their mind. he can also cause phyisical damage mentaly in this form.
Personality- Care free, laid back but at the same time kind of withdrawn. he is caring and likes to help people and tends to have people naturally drawn to him due to his talents.
Bio- he doesnt know who or what he is, he was found and raised in the east side of town but because of his abilities moved to the west time, he is also a writer but doesnt think much of it and uses his mental and emotional abilities to help people.

Personality-He has certain days when he can be cold to others execpt for the lords he works for. Other than than he will stand for what he believes and won't speak against authority unless he shall be pushed to do so
Bio- "Caius" is a man of hard work and of great studies. He reads and thinks alot as well and think of him as being dangerous to the lords of the northern lands. The only one who knows that he wouldn't dare betray them and would happily serve them is the underground and Northern Lord. Caius wastes time by reading books, reaserching and planning strategies and other things. He has yet to take a student under his wing to serve in his place if a problem was to come up that dealt with his dismissal from the captal(guild). Caius is also a man who lost his wife due to an assassin. Nothing else is known of his personal and past life.

Calista walked around the market with a basket of herbs for trade. She was looking for a spefic herb that she couldn't find in the forests near Dogmar. Calista knew that someone was bound to have it, she just had to waste a lot of time looking around for it.

Chrono roamed about the market, He took an apple from a basket then handed a gold coin to the vendor, He munched on it taking his time too do it. "This is pretty tasty," he smiled at the women who passed by and, then gave serious looks to their escorts. "I wouldn't feel safe with tem,' he muttered to himself.

Calista continued to roam about the market, stopping to smile and chat with various vendors as she continued to look for the herbs she needed. Calista liked the market because she liked to see the different kinds of people and goods.

Cauis, who was on his break now, decided to make a stop at the library today. In his hand were some books that he had read already. The books were of many different sizes too. It didn't matter to him really, any book could interest him just about. Both of his hands were full of the books he were carrying until suddenly someone purposly knocked him over and his books felt in the mud. Lucky for him his clothes didn't get stained.

The person that purposly knocked him over says to Caius "Hey pal watch where you are goin next time!"

Cauis simply gets up and gently brushes his clothes off "I am sorry sir..." Of course caius didn't want to bring harm to anyone but he had plans for the guy later today. When the jerk left Caius looked at his books "What a shame. These books were in tip-top form..."

Calista finally found a merchant that traded the kind of herbs she needed. Once she was done she decided to head into the city, running a few errands here and there.

AS Chrono continued to walk, the same Jerk that knocked Caius over, Attempted a another push ON Chrono, As he rammed him with his shoulder Chrono stood his ground then grabebd the man by the arm, "Hello, Jackals," he said the flashed his badge. "Been looking for you, You missed your court date," he grinned as he then Knocked him down to the ground and, dragged him back to the Dogmar police station.

Once she was done with errands, Calista headed to the government office to see a man about a deed to a shop. She was thinking about setting up her own shop near the others on the outskirts of the market. It was a reliable, stable place to be, and the vendors would come to her so she didn't have to hunt them down.

Chrono dragged Jackal to the station, He dropped him off collected his money and, walked off, He needed to go to the Government Office. He had to pay the rent to keep his Bails Bond up and, running.

Calista finally reached the government office and made her way to the deed holders office. Once there, she had to wait in line for quite some time. As she got tired of standing, Calista decided to sit down once a chair opened up, then she continued to wait.

Chrono saw the wating line then sighed, He looked around, "The Seat are takened." He muttered to himself, he then saw a chair free He walked to it but A red haired women snatched it before him, "Great," he told himself, He stoood eyeing the women for a few seconds then sighed.

"I'm sorry. Did I take your seat?" Calista asked as she looked around and caught a man looking at her in what she thought was frustration.
