Herd at a Glance
(In Progress, still trying to come up with a foolproof way of formatting. D: )
 
Kal is a nervous little stallion who struggles to be brave, but despite his fears he is a kindly soul and takes pride in his healing ability. He will always stop for someone in need of his help.
Thea ~ (Description Pending)
 
Castellan is too outgoing for his own good, often embarking on grand adventures long before his brain catches up to inform him of the possible dangers or pitfalls on said adventures. He often frequents the shores to watch the four leggers, and will adventure with anyone, even the grumpy and unwilling.
Tikva is a headstrong individual who knows what she wants, and most of the time it is information. Knowledge is her only passion in life, and she will put up with a great many irritations to gain insight into the world around her. Unfortunately she's not the most tactful or gracious if one does raise her ire.
 
Raphe is happiest when others look upon him favourably. His well practised poses might appear self-centered, but the has a good heart, and knows the value of kind deeds and brave efforts. He would be a knight in shining armour if only to be looked upon with favourable eyes.
Perian is simply a stubborn little usdia, often furrowing his brow and disagreeing with others on principle regardless of what he thinks of the situation. He hates feeling coerced into agreeing with anyone, but he's not a bad guy once you get past the prickly exterior.
 
Eurydice is a guileless forest dweller, mostly keeping to herself in the heart of the woods. Occasionally she will follow a traveller for amusement, but she will not stand for any damage to her forests. Those who she reveals herself to will have to face her tactless honesty.
Alue is a timid beauty of a stallion, a natural follower who looks towards the more confident to lead the way. He is not a mindless follower though, he will summon up the courage to protect those less able than himself and stand up for the cause of good, even if it has him shaking down to his hooves.
 
Morrow is a wandering traveller. He is full of wise phrases and easy humour, and a lazy attitude that belies his proactive attempts to keep himself out of trouble. Not much phases him, he is used to the stares he receives for his massive size, and will not hesitate to bring that size to bear if he needs to.
Alessia is a self-confident, self-sufficient mare. Despite her youth, her kindness and no-nonsense attitude allows her to care for others with all the fervour of a mother hen caring for her brood. She has a very dry sense of humour, and will often joke with all the seriousness of regular discussion.
 
Tavaris is a gentle soul. He appears calm and wise, travelling in the woods with a serene grace that is misleading for his young age, but he often struggles with the expectation of possessing wisdom of years far exceeding his own. Despite his inexperience, that wisdom often finds him when he's not looking for it.
Dragon Couture is a small stallion, but his calm, unshakeable presence is enough to make up for his lesser stature. He flows through the world with both passion and inner peace, his quiet confidence allowing him to get along with anyone who would not seek to make him into someone else.
 
Rime~ (Description Pending)
Dove might look the fair maiden, she displays grace and gentleness when she is not more intent on roughhousing, winning a race against the boys, or trying to knock sense into other's heads so everyone will get along. She might be delicate, but is nevertheless unafraid of bumps and bruises. (Still RPed as a foal)

Kal
RP colour: #9A6900
Name Origin: Character based on an OC named Kaleb, ironically meaning 'brave' in some interpretations.
Likes: Sunny days, tasty flowers, someone to spend a day with.
Dislikes: Being called small or mistaken for a foal, being alone in the dark, bitter plants.
Physically: Kal is not one to take pride in strength or endurance. His unicorn ancestry dominated his appearance, leaving him with delicate and finely formed features that suggest any force at all could break him. He is fully grown but still often mistaken for a foal just reaching adulthood due to his small size and weak appearance. His coat is always very clean and well-kept, with markings shine like burnished gold in any light at all. In the absence of light, well, Kal is not fond of the dark anyway.
Personality: Kal a kind spirit, and it is readily apparent that he is eager to please others. He does get himself in quite a huff if his small size is brought up, but he is also quick to calm down and forgive assuming the one who 'insulted' him also shows him some kindness. Sarcasm is often completely lost on him. He's usually cheerful, and although he habitually downplays his own worth as a friend and companion, it doesn't prevent him from seeking out such friendships where he finds them. When his insecurities start to come out, he can get very nervous. He only lies when he's afraid, and usually it's only an attempt to hide his fright. His fear of the dark makes him more anxious and jittery in the evenings, when he often dodges out of any interaction so his fears can be soothed without having to worry about what anyone else thinks. When it comes to romance or even vague flirtation, he is completely clueless. Suggestive comments will sail right over his head, aided entirely by his own self perception and surety that he is certainly not what any female is looking for. Anything on that topic that is direct and to the point will make him horribly flustered.
Strengths & Weaknesses: Although his healing abilities are above average for his breed, it comes at a price for the young stallion. His small body lacks the muscles for serious flight. He is hardly able to achieve the same height as his peers, nor can he sustain flight as long. He often has doubts about himself, and although not deluded about the strengths in his character, he is bitterly honest about his shortcomings once he is made to actually discuss them.
Relationships:
* Kal is not quite so fond of Van'Liasha. She's annoying, but growing on him.
* He is glad to have met Lavandula, a friendly smile really sets him at ease.
* Kal thinks Tapanga is nice company, if a little scatterbrained, and he hopes she doesn't lose her 'Teli' again.
* Telikos, on the other hand, Kal has no idea what to think aside from how big he is.
* Kal is very thankful to Guli, and would have liked to spend more time with her if he wasn't so embarrassed over his fears.
* Kal is absolutely terrified of Baxter and never wants to meet him again.
* He likes Myde's company, and thinks perhaps he should go swimming more often.
* Kal enjoyed talking with Eponine, it was nice to know he didn't have to worry about his own nervous stutter.
* He is very impressed, and a little intimidated by Warren and his flying skills.
* Kal is very fond of Raphael, and respects him a great deal for his friendly, non-judgmental attitude.

Castellan

Name Origin: Based on the zoologist who described the tiger-snout seahorse species in detail.
Likes: Shrimp, his sidekick, things to curl his tail around, colourful or interesting objects, having fun.
Dislikes: Being told to shut up or stay put, things that poke back when he pokes them, things he needs to be rescued from, crabs, really cold water.
Physically: The merstallion is very average, as far as mers go. His lifestyle keeps him in very good shape, he doesn't like to stop moving for too long, and the constant motion keeps him fit and happy. He has pretty good stamina, a result of fleeing so often when he gets himself into trouble, and can put on a real good burst of speed when necessary. Which is good, otherwise he probably wouldn't have survived as long as he has.
Personality: Castellan is rather reckless, he'll try anything once, and will try repeatedly if it brings him some amusement to do so. He is not afraid of anything until it first tries to harm him, and his fears are often quickly forgotten, which makes for a very poor sense of when he might be getting himself into trouble once again. It doesn't even occur to him to be concerned about how others see him. He'll approach other soquili as readily as he approaches fire coral or colourful jellyfish, always eager for the novelty and entertainment of being around someone new.

Relationships:
* Castellan thinks Pheno is rather creepy, but not creepy in a bad way.
* Castellan likes Zulu, and would like to go adventuring with her more often even if she tries to pretend she doesn't like it.

Name Origin: Meaning 'hope' in Hebrew.
Likes: Knowledge, days with a slight breeze, honeysuckle, being the leader.
Dislikes: Being underestimated, strong wind, being told 'No', putting up with weak minded individuals.
Physically:
Personality: Tikva is a very strong-minded individual. She learned early that approaching things directly was the best way to get what she wanted, be it favours or the knowledge she takes so much delight in. The mare would be glad for the chance to live a thousand lives, but she won't hesitate to get what she wants from this life while she has it.
Strengths & Weaknesses:
Stages: Basket, Foal.
Relationships:
* Tikva is very fond of her father, who is always willing to share his knowledge and wisdom.
* Tikva strictly avoids Castellan, when she's not prying for information.
