Soooo both parents are Mwezi members and were paired together during MnM. It looks like Lunastre is upper-mid/Taaka is High. The couple is not married, so this is uh---considered an oopsie litter from Taaka's perspective. XD;

Lore Update/Expansion - It's time to discuss the answers to the obvious questions we just don't need to address in day-to-day playing around here. What happens to cubs born during the day, or during a storm, or when it just happens to be overcast?? The answer is simply that there is a (small) grace period in which the Great Lion and cubs may be introduced. Ideally, cubs are born on a clear night and it's simple. In reality, it is often the first night after cubs are born. On rare occasions, it may even be the second or third night.
Current Metaplot - Eternal Darkness & the Absence of the Moon - Since there are cubs being born during this strange darkness, the question ICly naturally becomes .. just how long of a grace period do we have to introduce newborns to the Great Lion? A few days is rare but historically accepted, a week in extenuating circumstances and mothers may still be holding out hope that it'll be OK.. but it won't pass in any reasonable time, and the cubs simply won't be seen by the Great Lion.
This means cubs born during the darkness are low class, and will become slaves.
Re: Grace Period & the New Moon - If you can wait a night or two, why is anybody a slave? The answer is simply that tradition/superstition demands some honesty and integrity when dealing with something this fundamental to living appropriately in the Mwezi'Johari. Even when the moon is absent on the nights of the new moon, the stars (ancestors) are watching. It is a weird fact/loophole that certainly has a point of interest for any dissenters in the pride's history but it always comes down to tradition and not being foolish enough to try tricking the Great Lion.
Re: IC Debate - The decision to make cubs born during this dark period low class is, naturally, going to cause some IC debate. Something supernatural is going on, we all know what phase the moon is even if we can't see it, maybe if we just walk far enough out we'll find the moon, etc etc.. The most popular suggestion among the less superstitious/more lenient members of the pride would be to wait for cubs to reach adolescent and be initiated as outsiders are. This will ultimately be rejected because we know when these cubs were born and the Great Lion was not there to see them.
So.. cubs born during this period are in a very unique situation.
Neeharika's cubs would have been born very near the full moon (OOC liberty on my part: they arrived prior to the official metaplot update that coincides with the Nergui Temple ORP, which implies the moon is full/near full when the search takes place). Lunastre's cubs would have come shortly after that. Both litters in this case should have been higher classed and through this mysterious supernatural BS have wound up as slaves. This should provide some very unique character building opportunities for everybody involved!
