He's a beanpole though, already standing at 5'8 with years left to go. His naturally tanned skin doesn't change much when exposed to the sun and he never burns thanks to his olive complexion. He has dark, curly hair (he says its brown, others argue it's black) and hazel eyes, and he always wears a golden necklace that belonged to his grandfather. His clothing is generally always a bit too small for him as he seems to grow overnight, his pants and sleeves exposing a few extra inches of arm and leg.
Personality: Rundanrul is an outgoing young man, eager to make friends and have fun. He loves to joke and tease - especially with pretty girls - and finds himself dancing out of trouble fairly often. His charismatic ways help him smooth talk himself out of lots of situations, but sometimes he finds himself running from those he can't convince to let him off the hook. Roguish and fearless, Rundanrul is still caught between enjoying his youth and becoming an adult. He can be childish if he doesn't get his way, resorting to old tactics like spreading rumors or coming up with silly revenge plots like spilling a drink on someone's pants to make it look like they wet themselves.
Rundanrul likes to have fun and as such isn't very good at focusing on his studies or doing his chores. He finds them boring and wants to do nothing more than watch the different Wings do their drills. Work like that would be much more fun once he gets a dragon companion! He dreams of Impressing a bronze or a brown, thinking blues and greens are far too common and not nearly as important as their larger kin. He loves to be the center of attention and wants a dragon that will allow him to be a Wingleader or some other kind of well-known rider.
History: Rundanrul was born at Western Weyr to a family originally from the southern islands. They had moved there to care for Rundanrul's ailing grandfather, a dragon rider who had fallen ill the past year and had never quite recovered due to his age. Rundanrul spent his early life at the knee of his grandfather and his beautiful brown dragon, listening to stories of flying and training and the joy of having your soulmate with you at all times. Before his grandfather's passing, Run promised him that he'd follow in his footsteps and become a dragon rider just like him. His grandfather had given him his prized possession, a golden necklace he and his dragon had found many years ago, before his illness took him. Run has worn that necklace every day since then as a reminder to himself to keep his promise.
A year before Run could officially become a Candidate, Thread returned to Pern. While his family was safe, Run saw the suffering of those that had been affected and it only solidified his desire to start to learn what it took to Impress a dragon. With a promise to his dear grandfather and the chance to become well-known for his noble fight against Thread, Rundanrul joined the other Candidates on his 14th Turn. He hasn't been among their ranks for long - he hasn't even had a chance to Stand yet - but he's loving every single second of his new life in the Weyr.
Recently he stumbled upon a Firelizard egg that had been strangely placed in an empty flower box. There were no Firelizards around, nor anyone claiming it was theirs, so Run took it with him back to his dorm. He was beyond pleased when it hatched a few days later in a stunning bronze flit, and he believes it is a gift from his grandfather and a hint at what's to come at a future Hatching. Other:As he gets older Run will start to get more invested in his own fame rather than helping others and will pass it off as wanting to do good in the world/trying to make the memory of his grandfather live on. I'd totally be open to his (hopeful XD) eventual partner feeding into that or trying to stop him from walking down a path of greed and self-importance. ALL THE OPTIONS! Ages up OOCly on April 29th.

He likes to say he got tired of putting in the effort to get any larger, and has no qualms about being small. He is slim for a dragon, and prone to being underweight for his size. His wings are long, and he is definitely built more for speed than stamina. Unfortunately for his rider, Ignaviath lacks in both. Personality: Ignaviath is a brown who is going to need a lot of support. While some of his clutchmates are hard-working, this brown is not among them. While there is an innate drive in him to defeat Thread, as was programmed in all dragons, Ignaviath would simply prefer to do it in a way that involves the least amount of effort possible. He does not want to wake up and go to drills. He does not want to do wing-flappies for strength training. He doesn't want to do much of anything, to be honest, except perhaps talk with his rider, curl up on a ledge, and do....nothing. While there certainly are things that interest this brown -- food, cuddles, His -- it is the effort it takes to get those things that tend to turn him off.
He will take cuddles from any clutchmates provided they amble over to him. He will eat anything anyone puts in front of him, provided they get it for him. He will always love His with a passionate desire that is unwavering... but he will expect His to do the brunt of the learning and supporting. Depending on his rider, there very well could be a power struggle because Ignaviath will spend his energy arguing why he shouldn't have to do something, rather than simply adhere to the command.
Thankfully, his love for His means his rider will always have the upper hand, and no matter how he might fight or be stubborn, His will always be able to get Ignaviath to move. Some of his more aggressive (or metallic) clutchmates could probably also bully him into line, but rest assured, Ignaviath will probably sigh loudly about the whole ordeal--and cut every corner in the book to get back to being comfortable as soon as possible.
He is a brown who likes to encourage his clutchmates to sun with him, or encourage them not to bother with certain tasks. He will enable indolence in those who can be easily swayed, and has no regrets in doing such a thing. While he understands that there is no getting out of fighting Thread, he just doesn't know why they have to keep worrying about it between battles. Do they really need to drill, drill, drill? Couldn't they sleep, sleep, sleep? Save up some energy for the actual fight? Surely, adding a little more leisure would do them all so good--and that's a stance Ignaviath will take to the grave.
Why bother doing something today when you can do it just as easily tomorrow? If his indolent nature wasn't bad enough, this brown prefers to put off any tasks he is given. Unless his rider stands firm, this brown will wait until the very last minute, and then likely rush through--if he completes the task at all. While some browns make excellent seconds, Ignaviath is not the sort of dragon who would be recommended for any form of leadership, because he just... doesn't want to be that kind of dragon. He honestly wishes he could have been hatched a blue, or better yet a white, because less work and less expectations would be required of him. Should he be injured, this brown will milk it and try to stay in the infirmary as long as he can.

He's not overly concerned by what's happening around him, or how things might change. He's a dragon who rolls with the punches because it's way too much effort to be upset or riled up about things outside their control. He isn't completely heartless, after all, and he does care about his clutchmates--he just shows such care in a rather idle fashion.

He can be a very affectionate dragon, and it is one of the few times he will make an effort. Why nap on a ledge alone when you could be coiled around someone? Origin of Name: In Greek mythology, Aergia is the personification of sloth, idleness, indolence and laziness. She is the translation of the Latin Socordia, or Ignavia. Ignaviath takes his name from this latin word, which means apathetic.
Inspiration: The Deadly Sin of Sloth
Sloth is one of the seven capital sins in Catholic teachings. It is the most difficult sin to define and credit as sin, since it refers to an assortment of ideas, dating from antiquity and including mental, spiritual, pathological, and physical states. One definition is a habitual disinclination to exertion, or laziness.
Views concerning the virtue of work to support society and further God's plan suggest that through inactivity, one invites sin.

He is slim for a dragon, and prone to being underweight for his size. His wings are long, and he is definitely built more for speed than stamina. Unfortunately for his rider, Ignaviath lacks in both.
Additional Notes: Ignaviath is prone to under-eating and will need to be watched. Not only is he a lazy hunter, but by the time he starts to eat, he gets bored with it quickly. He also has less muscle mass than a dragon his size should have, primarily because he hates to exercise. He is very idle indeed, which will result in him struggling during Threadfall. He is prone to being a weak brown, but depending how his rider drives him, he might be able to change into something a little more fit.
When it comes to chasing, Ignaviath will be loathe to do it. Even golds won't tempt him--he has no desire to launch himself after them and fly for an hour. That is way too much work for this brown. Instead, he prefers to find females or fellow males who don't want a long chase at all. Ignaviath just doesn't have the stamina or energy for such a show--but he'll happily cuddle up in post-coital bliss for as long as he's allowed.
Impression Effect: Impression is liable to mature Rundanrul very quickly, as he not only has his work cut out for him, but has gained significant perspective shifts simply by seeing into Ignaviath's mind and hearts. He will find it very easy indeed to fit into High Reaches society, joining the ranks of the Weyr's brownriders.
Ignaviath loves that Rundanrul is a slacker, but his overall energy has the chance to push the brown where others might fail. Rundanrul has ambition where Ignaviath just does not have the drive, and it will be up to the young man to coax his dragon to budge from his cozy wallow. On the flipside, Rundanrul is going to get a crash course in patience. Ignaviath possesses it in abundance, and dealing with Ignaviath's slothful nature will assuredly give the young man ample opportunities to hone this new skill. They are both of an amiable nature in their own ways, and in that respect complement one another very well. In one way they are very different, and that is that Ignaviath would never spread rumors about anyone, being such a cuddly and friendly creature.

Name: Bough Age: 2 years Temperament: Energetic, aggressive, hungry. History: Bough has been with Rundanrul for a while now and every day has been an adventure. Bough tries to boss Ignaviath around now that R'ul has a dragon companion, but the brown barely notices the flit.
