Astriana was feeling much better knowing that none of their wingmates had gotten hurt from missed Thread. She allowed Moratath to keep flaming down any Thread in their area. She knew he was a born Thread killer and he was showing how much he was.

Now this is more like it, AstrianaMine. This is how we do our job,the blue told her with confidence.

High Altitude (Hour 3/Round 1)
1) 2. A clump of Thread falls right before you! Unfortunately, the wind pushes you and the Thread away from one another. With determination, you fight the wind, trying valiantly to get to the great enemy! You hop Between, hoping to get closer, and flame the Threads that threaten to fall through! Roll a D4 to see if you successfully Between!
4- Failure! You overshoot, and miss your target completely. Instead, it falls on one of your fellow wingmates, and they scream in pain as they disappear to the sanctuary of Between. [Take 3 turns of Guilt! Any Damage rolled takes an additional -5 HP. Any successful bonuses or saves by other players don't affect your character. You just don't deserve it.]

2) 18. Are you feeling lucky? Well you should! Free reply! Respond to this post with any action pertaining to Threadfall, and gain a little luck. [+1 Luck]
3) 4. Nothing to flame quite yet, which is almost a miracle in this sort of Threadfall. Still, you're able to relax a moment, look around, and take note of your airspace. All's well... for now.
4) 9. The wind is strong and trying hard to buffet you. If brown or bronze you see one of your wingmates struggling against the wind. They're getting blown out of their empty airspace, and dangerously close to a patch of Thread! You are able to twist and accurately flame down the clump they were going to fly into, saving them from Threadscore! Quote a Wingmate that took Threadfall Damage and nullify it! You saved them from the pain! +1 Flame Length

If a green or blue you find yourself struggling against the wind. The wind is powerful this high up, and you have to struggle to keep in your airspace. Unfortunately, a strong gust blows through, and you find yourself blown right into a clump of Thread! Moderate Damage -4 HP (additional -5 for guilt)

5) 4. Nothing to flame quite yet, which is almost a miracle in this sort of Threadfall. Still, you're able to relax a moment, look around, and take note of your airspace. All's well... for now.

Astriana was keeping her eyes peeled, but it seemed she missed a clump. She felt a burning on her leg and cried out, however had enough of a mind to instruct her blue Between. She felt the coldness around her, knowing it was killing the Thread. When they popped back, her leg was stinging, but she knew she would manage.

We have had worse today, you are strong,Moratath agreed.

Astriana could feel as the wind decided to take this moment to remind them it existed. As it began to pick up, she knew it was trying to toss her and Moratath out of formation. She leaned against his back more, as she felt him struggling against the wind. Then came a wince as she could feel his wing muscle strained.

I am really getting annoyed by this wind, Mine, the blue admitted. Okay, he would need to be more careful with the elements, he figured.

Astriana had hoped the wind might die down, but it seemed it was not done with them. Thankfully, Moratath had heard a trumpet of warning from the Weyrleader's dragon, Treth. She managed to get them to adjust, so they were able to prevent any mishaps or being dragged out of formation.

Thank you, Treth and please give our thanks to your rider as well,Moratath thought to the green.

Thankfully, the delicate dragon successfully managed to keep in position and avoid getting hit wit any tangles of Thread.

Another gust had the little green fighting against it to try to flame down a patch within her airspace. Let's see if we can get closer, yeah? Kiri decided. The patch was right there, just one little skip forward would do it--and she felt confident in her coordinates.

Felisath hummed her approval and threw them Between.

One, two, three...

When Felisath appeared, it was immediate pain. The little dragon creeled in surprise, and Kiri cursed. Shaffit all--that was too close! "Sorry, baby! Sorry! Here--" she changed the destination, and encouraged Felisath back Between. This time when they reappeared, the Thread was gone, their airspace clear, and Felisath could carry on the battle.

"Are you going to be all right?" She asked, concerned. She could feel the sting and pain between their link and knew her green's back leg was sore.

I'm all right, Mine. I'll be okay. But there was exhaustion in the green's words. Kiri grimaced. Did she return her to the Weyr or did she wait and see?

While Kiri deliberated, another squeal and surge of pain caught her off guard. The little green's foot and leg caught a long, silver strand which tangled around it. Felisath jumped Between, which immediately helped soothe the ache--but Kiri shifted uncomfortably from where she sat.

Baby, we should get you looked at. Some numbweed would do you good.

Felisath resisted though, desperate to prove herself and her wroth. She was okay, she was all right. She wanted to remain, at least for a few more minutes.

"This wind!" Kiri exclaimed in frustration -- not at Felisath, but simply because High Altitude was nothing but a fight. Her poor green was thrown around as if she were nothing--and though the dragon valiantly twisted and avoided the worst sheets of Thread that were also buffeted about--it was still frustrating. Thank goodness, they would be moving down to another altitude soon.

Maybe she would take Felisath back to the Weyr first -- just to be safe.

The high altitude was, of course, the heaviest when it came to the amount of Threadfall, but Turoth and Ad'ar worked at it methodically and meticulously. Every now and then they'd have a little issue arise like the ash cloud currently blowing back in their faces. It stung a bit but both bronze and rider shook it off, focusing on their task.
