The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Markus was already in the meal room, carrying a tray of food. His wings fluttered, half-opening and closing repeatedly as he scanned the room. When he finally spotted Akila, his face brightened up and he crossed the room to her. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Akila's smile went from polite standards to radiance when she spotted him, and she hurried over to hug him, careful of his tray. She did so love hugs.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Markus shifted his tray to one hand so he could return the hug. He kissed her forehead then smiled at her. "Still alive? Sebastion didn't grumble you to death?" He asked teasingly, leading her to get her own food. He kept an arm around her shoulders though, holding her close. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Akila nodded a little proudly, staying pressed near to him. She rose her chin like she'd won some sort of award, and gave a silent giggle as she got her own tray, not nearly as full as her lunch. Her little stomach wasngokng to have to get used to such normal amounts a little at a time.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Markus chuckled, leading her to a table. Seeing her tray, not nearly so full, he frowned slightly. "Are you sure that's enough? You can have as much as you want, you know." He told her, sounding concerned. He wanted to make sure she was getting everything she needed. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Akila nodded and frowned a little, patting her stomach. She settled down at the table and pushed the food around with her fork, not really paying attention to it. Now she was more interested in the people surrounding them, looking for people she might recognize from before she was enslaved.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Markus nodded, understanding dawning on his face. "Ah right. Well, just make sure you eat as much as you want." He told her. He started eating his own meal. As Akila looked around, she would find a surprisingly high number of people she could recognize. Almost every single one of the folk from the street she and Markus had lived on were there. And many more from the surrounding area. Markus had rallied first the people he knew well. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Akila sent smiles and waves to most everyone that she knew that made any eye contact. She took a small bite of food and she turned back into the table, and swallowed pushing her tray forward. She just couldn't eat any more. She was still full from lunch, after all. Instead she crossed her arms in front of her and rested her head on them.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Many of the people smiled and waved back at Akila, glad to see the girl free. Markus saw her push her tray away and lay her head down. He touched her shoulder gently. "Hey. You alright?" He asked worriedly. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Akila opened one eye to look at him and smiled, nodding to show that was alright. Just a dull stomach ache. Perhaps she'd eaten too much. She didn't want to worry him, though. Maybe she'd pick at her food just a little bit more...she sat up again. Seeing so many people she knew reassured her enough to keep her back straight and out of it's (practically usual) cower.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Markus looked relieved as she sat up. He hadn't been so worried about her not eating, trusting her to know how much to eat so she could readjust. Mostly it had been her laying on the table that worried him. He quickly finished his meal and stretched. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Akila managed to down a few more bites before she decided to bring up her tray. She yawned, showing the sharp teeth that had managed to cut into their enemy's flesh. They shined a bright white despite her obvious innocence, and contrasted from her drooping ears and tail. After a moment she was back with Markus and about to lay her head on the table again. She wanted to tell him about her first day, but she'd have to find some way to communicate other than this constant game of charades.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Markus waited until she had returned her tray and come back to the table. Then he rose. "Come on. You look asleep on your feet." He said with a chuckle. "Lets get you to a bed before you fall asleep on the table." The tiger that should be....isn't....

Akila stood slowly and nodded, hiding another yawn, willing to just follow him back to their room. Sleep would be nice, wouldn't it?

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Markus watched her for a second, then scooped her up into his arms. "You look like you'll fall asleep before we make it to the room." He said with a laugh, carrying her easily. The tiger that should be....isn't....
