Adrian folded his hands, resting his chin on them as he sat in the waiting room, his leg bouncing nervously as he waited for any sort of news on Amaya's condition. Once again he tried to keep Amaya's lost blood in her body until the doctors took over, and now all he could do was wait. His own hand was still bleeding as well, but he'd forgotten about it and just didn't care even if he did remember. He'd already proven back in the arena that physical injuries and open wounds didn't matter to him. He just wished he could give Amaya the same perk. "Dammit, why her....This isn't fair...." he muttered to himself.

Two hours passed before anyone came to talk to Adrian, and it was the head of the neonatal unit who came to him first. She sighed as she walked over, taking a seat next to him. "We had to deliver the baby, much sooner than we would have liked. So far he's fine, but he's premature and underweight, so he's been put in an incubating box to keep him warm. He's been put on a respirator since he can't breathe on his own just yet. He's got an 80% chance of survival, but I'm warning you now, there are still complications we need to watch for, and he's very tiny. I can take you back to see him if you want to, Amaya is still in surgery." She told him, rubbing her hands to warm them up a bit.

"Y-yeah, sure..." Adrian said as he got up from his seat. This was all way too much for him and was half in shock.

The doctor nodded, getting up and leading him back to the neonatal unit. Leading him over to the plastic box, she stepped back so Adrian could see the baby. Riley was very small, about the size of an adult's hand. His feet were maybe the size of the first digit of a person's pinky finger and his hands were smaller. He was laying among a bunch of blankets with a tiny knit cap on his head to keep him warm, little sunglasses to protect his eyes from the light, and a tiny diaper. His little chest rose and fell steadily as the respirator forced air into his tiny lungs, and several other chords were connected to him as he just lay there. "He's on a feeding tube right now, but as he gets stronger, we'll eventually be able to switch him over. He can hear you though if you want to talk to him. It'll probably comfort him after the day he's had..." She murmured before leaving Adrian alone with Riley.

"Hey, Riley...Daddy's here..." Adrian said softly as he placed a hand on the box. "I wish your mom could be here right now...She'd want to see you, but she's just in no shape right now...I wish you could have stayed in her tummy just a little longer, but things happened, not that I'm not happy to finally see you..." His girlfriend was in surgery again after whatever it was that Sloan did, and his baby had to be born two months premature. He couldn't take the worry anymore and he just broke down in tears, wings wrapping around him and the little box that held his son as he began to cry.

((AWWW! *Hugs Adrian* He's so sad! cry ))
Riley's little fingers flexed before he moved his arms for a second, recognizing Adrian's voice, though he settled down again a moment later.
It was around midnight when Marco stumbled into the neonatal unit, easily finding Adrian among the other tiny babies, though he was careful not to hit anything with his wings as he made his way over to him. There was blood on his shirt, almost in a pattern like he was holding someone. "Adrian..." He murmured, heartbroken to see him huddled around the little box containing his tiny son and even more heartbroken at what he'd have to say next.

"Marco...?" Adrian quickly wiped his eyes before turning to see him. "W-What are you doing here?"

((Maybe the blood on his shirt?))
"Amaya forgot to change the emergency contact form for Calista's school. When they couldn't reach her, they called me..." He started, trying to figure out how to tell him what happened, he still couldn't believe it himself really.

Adrian's eyes widened. "Tell me she's alright." he demanded as he went up to Marco and grabbed the collar of his shirt. "Tell me Calista's alright!!"

"She's safe. They found her an hour ago. She's safe, but she's scared and she's been asking for you." Marco said quickly, trying to calm his friend down before he continued, resting his hands on Adrian's shoulders. "Sloan showed up and took her from school in the middle of class right after he left the apartment I guess. The school called me after they told the police. The whole city was put on an amber alert and the police got a call from someone an hour ago about hearing a person screaming in some abandoned factory ten miles outside the city. I went with them to go check it out. When we got there we found Calista huddled in a corner, soaked in blood and crying for you. We found pieces of Sloan all over the factory...she killed him, Adrian...Calista killed Sloan." He muttered. "They let me bring her down here, but I wanted to tell you what happened before you saw her, and they're checking her out to make sure he didn't hurt her and getting her cleaned up, but I wanted to tell you what happened before you saw her." He said, repeating himself a bit to make sure Adrian was hearing him.

"Oh, god....CALISTA!!" Adrian barely bowled Marco down as he ran out of the room to find her. He didn't ask where she was, but somehow he knew in his gut just where to go. And he thought he was in shock; his daughter just killed a man.

Calista sat in the examination room the doctors had brought her to with her knees pulled up to her chest, hugging her legs tightly. She was shivering on the table, still covered with now drying blood. Her eyes were red from crying, though they seemed dull as she just sat there in silence and let the doctors look her over and see if she was okay. Calista had large scrapes on her knees and elbows, her knuckles were bruised along with her eye. There were more bruises under her clothes, though the doctors couldn't find it yet, unable to get her to listen to them or even get close, the little girl making Hazama chase anyone back who got too close.

"Calista!!" Completely ignoring any doctors that tried to stop him, Adrian burst into the room, out of breath from all the worry he'd been going through and his face red from crying so much earlier.

The little girl started sobbing the second she saw Adrian, hopping off the table and scrambling over to cling to him. "Daddy! I was so scared!" She sobbed, Hazama disappearing as she clung to Adrian, still shaking as she cried.

"I know, I know, sweetie, but I'm here now...Everything's going to be alright...." Adrian said as he knelt down and hugged her tightly, though he wasn't really sure how okay things would actually be. "Marco told me what happened, I wish I could have been there; you shouldn't have had to go through all that by yourself..."
