Mini RP - Kanto Badge Run (Reno)

Snips would fly back from the shockwave without a sound, missing the spin kick as he recovered his bearings from the attack. Flying around with the momentum of the kick, the forgotten Leaf Blade still in Snips hand would coming swinging around, aiming to slash at the Raichu with the whirling dervish of an attack.

Feeling the electricity coursing through his body, Snips found himself slowing down as he made to take advantage of the close range with another Wring Out attack, his tail whipping around to constrict the Raichu before it might try to back away to a more ranged bit of combat.

Snips growled out in pain from the electricity before a single tap would echo out throughout the battlefield, snapping him into focus before he fully released his tail from the Raichu. Spitting with a cough, a flurry of seeds would fly out at point blank, the Leech Seed attack likely to hit due to the cough covering up the deployment of them onto the Raichu.

Reno would shout back with an order of, "Snips, Giga Drain!!", as the Raichu slammed into Snips with gusto. A pair of vines would shoot out from Snips' collar to contact the Raichu as Snips remained close before the impact fully sent him flying away. Due to the close range and the fact the Raichu was moving forward so fast, it was unlikely to be able to avoid the attack while Snips simply kept sending more vines as he landed a few feet away.

Looking at the Signal Beam flying towards Snips, Reno began to flash through ideas to attempt before the stupid idea that seemed doomed to fail came to his head. Shouting out the name of a move he had learned to dread, Reno roared out, "Mirror Coat!!" Snips, looking at Reno like he had just lost his mind, Snips began to attempt to coat himself in the strange coating that he had heard of from Reno's other Pokemon about the Wyanuts. A small shimmer began to coat Snips before the beam could impact, not reflecting the beam back with the legendary doubled strength of the original move but still managing to send it back. The damage to Snips still occurred to him but due to the mirror coating, the damage dealt to him is only regular strength.

Snips would stare at the Riachu with a hideous blood curdling stare that seemed endless, even as the Pokemon fell forward onto his face silently. Returning the Pokemon to his Pokeball before the intense soulless eyes burned themselves into the mind of everyone in the room, Reno approached the Gym Leader and grabbed the badge from the Lieutenant's hand. "Sir, yes sir!!' Reno shouted in response to his last sentence, marching towards the door before giving a final salute to the Gym Leader. Satisfied with his exit, Reno leaped onto Nova's back and began to plot his path to Celadon City.

Having found a relatively quick way to the city without much trouble between the air and his attempts to identify the Celadon City Gym, Reno looked to the sky and thanked whatever was up there Dante wasn't the one with the map for once. Walking to the Gym door, Reno felt a sudden brush of serenity and calmness rush over him from the plants. Breathing in the calming feeling, Reno slapped himself in the face before finally entering to prepare for his fight to the Gym Leader.

Reno would keep his determined expression as he stared through the Gym.....for the five seconds it took him to breath out and breath in again the sweet aroma of the flowers. Returning to the almost zoned out state that he had previously been in, Reno reached to his back pack before tossing out twin Pokeballs, releasing Willow and Snips to go and frolic with the other Grass types that seemed to populate the Gym. Looking back to the woman, he would mutter, "Sounds....nice. Care ta show me the way?"
