~ Catherine entered on New Day ~

Rin was somehow up on time without being coaxed out of her bed. Part of her hesitance to sleep in was Gin. Seeing him in tears was always a shocking scene for the girl. Back when she was a kid, he was usually the one comforting her when SHE was crying. Who's to say that if not for his affection that she may or may not have ended up hating the world entirely, rathering than being wary of it. That, and he was sick. So she couldn't rely on him being her alarm today. After sitting with her adoptive mother, and perhaps Gin if he was well enough, and having breakfast she was ready to head out. Before leaving for the Academy though Gin had requested her to pass on a message to her class that they would be having a free period due to his and Ven's absence. I actually have to TALK to them..? She argued in her mind. Regardless of this she agreed and took her leave.

Luckily today there was zero snow and it was started to show signs that winter was ending. Rin couldn't help but feel somewhat giddy and childish as she hurried into the Academy. But once she'd got to the door to her class she grew more serious and wary. Part of her continued to insist that she shouldn't be showing weakness like that. And honestly, she couldn't see a reason to disagree. Rins ears flick upwards as she listened through the door. There was sound, but hardly enough to say that there's many present.

Catherine finally pushed the door open and made her way inside. Immediately she saw only a single person in the room. Jace. "Oh. You're the snake boy, right?" She spoke bluntly, her ruby gaze almost seeming... Disappointed. The girl was somewhat hoping her roommate would be the one in the room. But oh well, guess she has to settle with the one that doesn't seem to shift properly to the best of her knowledge.

Rin went silent for a period as she walk to her seat and hop onto it, sitting on her knees on the chairs and leaning over the backrest with her head resting on her folded arms. "Gin isn't coming by the way. He isn't feeling well. Today's free reign." The Shifter would inform the male. While she would like to just leave now her message was delivered, she knew she'd need to stick around to tell others if they show. Plus it's not like she'd have anything to do if she walked out on her own anyway.

Thanya would bound into the class room as usual, cheerful that winter was finally drawing to a close and she wouldn't have to wear as may clothes, though she would be sad to retire the cute cold weather outfit she had bought with Eryli. She would just have to out again next winter.

Thanya would first greet her shifting partner. "Good morning Jace! I read an interesting book on snakes the other day. I think it will help me get in the mood for our shifting practice, you know, be the snake."

Thanya would notice Rin was in the class with gin which was rather odd. She could not once recall seeing them not together, at least not during a class day. Nonetheless she would bound over to greet her as well. "Good morning Rin! Where's your brother? Is he going o be late for class today?"

"Ohh I hope I'm not late...!" Afraid of how much she might just have missed during her stay in the Infirmary - and of course the little detour to go get changed as well - Jesse could only hope that the tutor had yet to arrive and that the rest of the class were still preparing to make a start... Her claws clattered across the floor as she ran, her little heart pounding as she forced herself to ignore any interesting scents that she passed along the way...

Recognising the route that would lead her up to the door to the classroom, Jesse started to slow her pace - careful not to overshoot the mark, whilst also suddenly remembering that she should perhaps be taking it a little easy? After all, the reason she had ended up in the Infirmary in the first place was still beyond her recollection, so she had to be careful...

Her large ears perked as she started to pick up the scents of her classmates - although some were easier to define, she felt an excited rush as she picked up on one particular scent - the one that belonged to her latest Roommate!

It was hard not to want to burst through the entrance and greet her sometimes reserved friend, but after performing her usual 'jump and twist' at the handle of the door to gain entry to the classroom, the Fennec Child would land and pad carefully inside - a grin appearing on her Foxy face as she lifted her eyes to confirm that her Classmates were actually there and not just fading scents.

"Hey guys!" She often forgot that few people seldom understood Shifters in their animal forms, but Jesse hoped her merry Yip would be taken as a greeting anyways and crossed the room to her usual seat where she leapt up and turned around to face the others in the hope they might greet her with equally high-spirits...

Jace's relative peace was disturbed as he heard the sound of the door to the class being opened. He had settled into the room in the short time he had been there, his bag neatly to the side and his desk only occupied by a lone book and and quill. He had been writing notes from all the literature he had been reading about shifting, as well as his own experiences and attempts at it. He was already about halfway through this book, filled with his own cursive script inside. He had found it helped him to see what had been attempted, what had been felt, as well as what had been put in there by those before him when he attempted shifting. While none had led to his answer of how to fully shift, they had all helped in improving his partial shifting... Even if he was hitting a bit of a snag currently. But he pushed such thoughts out of his mind as he half turned so that his gaze could comfortably rest on whoever was entering. The neutral gaze of the shifter gave no real indication of emotion as he noticed it was Gin's sister; someone he only knew because of her brother. He had never truly heard her speak, at the least not to him, and while he thought she may have once in what felt long ago he was not entirely sure of it. It was the day the new student had arrived and if he recalled he had been... surprisingly busy then. He had hoped it would be Thanya, but he was never opposed to the company of others. 'Or in this case to enjoy some silence. Though perhaps I should interact more with her, if no others show?' He wondered to himself.

The thought was decided for him as he heard Rin begin to speak, asking if he was snake boy. 'Descriptive, though not particularly polite.' He noted to himself silently. His name had been said enough, as he had only need to hear hers once, for her to remember his own. 'Though with how often she sleeps, perhaps not.' He thought silently, face betraying nothing of his annoyance to the perceived slight. From what he had noticed of her in class, she seemed the most disinterested in it out of everyone. Looking to her eyes, as was respectful, he would note what seemed to be disappointment in them. Who she was expecting to see he was unsure, but it was not him. He thought to comment in the same manner as her, but bit back the impulse. He did not want to stoop to that level, and would treat her as he was expected to. "My name is Jace, but I am the snake shifter you are referring to." He would respond to her in his usual polite tone as he masked his annoyance. He resisted the urge to be childish about it and put such thoughts away, his grooming in his family allowing him to do so. He would not be riled up by one mere comment. Though he did not volunteer in terms of conversation more as he noticed her head for her usual seat. He was content to keep the peace and quiet as it was now. And it did last for a short period of time as he would be reviewing the notes he had made in his journal. He did not quite start shifting yet though, content to merely refresh his mind in preparation for it later. He was broken from his study again, surprised to see her being so vocal today, before realizing why as apparently Gin was not attending nor was there a formal class this day. "Tis a shame, I do hope he recovers soon." Would be Jace's simple response to her statement, some sadness in his voice as to the news. He saw Gin as his shifter teacher, and combat teacher, more than the actual ones. So with him not attending, he highly doubted the actual one would show up. A thought briefly came to mind of using his sister as a messenger, but it was discarded for now. He could do little to offer him comfort in that. 'To think the first day his sister speaks it is only in deliverance of bad news.' He silently thought to himself.

Jace was pondering what he should do next. He did not have contingencies for if class were to be cancelled abruptly, despite his preference for planning well ahead. He had wanted to stay and continue practicing his shifting, which he supposed he could still do, but the atmosphere would not be entirely the same. As he was pondering whether to depart or stay, eyes having drifted away from Rin and more so focused on his journal, his attention would be drawn back to the present by the not so subtle sounds of someone else approaching. Curious as to who was coming, especially with the news he had of class being cancelled essentially, he would turn to look. Only to see it as the ever energetic and cheerful Thanya, who wasted no time in greeting him. He would smile as she greeted him, then quickly moved onto the topic of shifting into a snake. While he was learning to be able to fully shift at all, she was learning to turn into other animals. It was an interesting combination between the two, as while she shifted fully with ease and was a quick learner, he was the one who seemed to be adept at partial shifts. He had yet to try other animals though as his focus was specifically on the snake for now. Hearing her jest as well at being the snake, or he assumed she jested a bit, he would smile and respond in a kind tone of voice. "Good morning Thanya. I am interested to hear all that you've learned from that book should we have the time for it." He would then notice her attention turn to Rin as she asked about Gin. While Jace felt a slight compulsion to inform her, her attention was already on Rin and he would let her answer it. It did seem likely that the task had fallen to her, so he would allow her to carry it out. While this was happening, he would hear the approach of yet another... this time in the form of a small creature. He recognized it as one of his classmates who preferred to be in her animal form, and to her Yip he would smile politely and incline his head in a slight bow. "Good morning to you as well." He would simply say to her, seeing as Rin could explain to them both the situation. While he could speak more, he was content to let Rin answer any question they had first and would wait patiently. In the interim, his gaze would travel back to his journal to study a bit more. Whether he stayed or not would depend on the others at this point.

Jace had awoken after a peaceful sleep and gone straight to class. The events of yesterday had forced him to retire early, both to care for his snake and to find a way to relax himself after all that occurred. He had begun to ponder on new places to meet with Tala where they may go undisturbed, but had yet to settle on any. His morning routine went about as usual, dressing himself and caring for his snake. He even get them an extra portion today in order to makeup for whatever it suffered yesterday, to which he was still unaware of. Dressing had been quick as had been his morning meal. No delay was to be taken on this day as he found himself entering the empty classroom. He took his favored seat by the front of the class, leaving his snake at home, and took out a tome of the anaconda for study. It would do him good to brush up on the subject while he had the time and peace of an empty classroom.

Waking up with his fiancΓ© in his arms was one of the best feelings in the whole world. Ven loved being the β€˜big spoon’ when they cuddled close like this. Gianna fit against him perfectly – the way she was nestled into the curve of his body, her legs intertwined with his. He loved wrapping his arm around her torso and nestling his forearm between her breasts to she could kiss and hold his hand as they slept. He loved her scent and her warmth, the sound of her even breathing and the way she smiled in her sleep when he kissed her temple and stroked her hair. He could lay with her forever like that…

Yes, waking up with Gianna in his arms was heaven on earth – and the best part? She was going to be his mate. Just the thought of it made him smile and dream about their future together. He suspected that she would someday wish for children of her own – she was an amazing mother to Gin and Catherine and he dreamed of giving her a baby of her own. He loved being a father and a deep part of him wished for a baby to care for and raise. Someday…

After kissing Gianna a dozen times, Ven reluctantly slipped from the bed. He washed his face and brushed his teeth before getting dressed and heading down the hall to knock on Gin’s door to rouse him. Once they’d both eaten a quick breakfast, they headed out, ready to start the day. Now that his instinct to hibernate had dissipated, Ven was ready to resume his responsibilities as Professor and give Gin a much-needed break from teaching.

[ - Exit to and Enter Shifter Class - ]

Stepping into the classroom, Ven was surprised to see a student already present. He and Gin and left the house rather early in hopes of getting there before any of his students so they could further discuss the lesson plan for the day, but it seemed that one of their students was over eager. β€œGood Morning, Jace. It’s nice to see you so eager to begin the lesson this morning.” Ven said with a friendly smile as he headed to the front of the class, Gin following behind him. Because of his extended absences, Ven didn’t know Jace very well, personally, but he had been kept up to date on all the students progress via Gin’s reports.

Placing his things on the desk, he moved to the black board and began writing a few things just to remind himself for later. They were very early and there was time to wait for Thanya, Rin and Jesse to arrive for the daily lesson. Turning back to Jace, he crossed his arms over his chest. β€œGin tells me that you are making some good progress on your shifting, Jace. Well done. Tell me, what have you been working on specifically as of late?”

Well, this was going to be interesting... Although he'd told her all about it for much of that morning, Tala was perhaps a little uncertain about actually leaving Fea in the capable hands of another...? He'd risen early, ensuring they had both been outside for a little walk and then eaten before making his way down towards the Shifter Class.

Territory unknown, Fea would follow her Pack Brother with little concern, he'd been talking to her about going to see some 'friends' and had then led her outside - a quick race around the Courtyard was always good and then breakfast...but now, the Shadowmancer's demeanour seemed to have changed some... He'd fallen quiet as though there was something on his mind, but she couldn't quite place it - at least until her nose picked up on something...interesting?

Pausing outside the door of the Shifter Classroom, Tala would draw a breath, exhaling a sigh and hesitating before drawing another breath and knocking thrice. "Remember what we talked about, okay?" he watched the Wolf tilt her head, her long tail swishing across the floor once before stopping as he looked back to the door and pushed it open... "Excuse me, Sir...?" He had hoped to have seen Gin, but had to admit his nerves jumped some as he realised there was another besides the Wolf Shifter there... "I'm..." his eyes drifted across the room and fell upon Jace - sat in the front row where it was naturally best to see... Something that Tala wasn't too comfortable in doing... "Pardon my intrusion, Sir," Swallowing his trepidation, Tala would quirk a smile at Jace, perhaps to acknowledge he'd got his note from the night before, "But Gin offered to look after my Companion today...Is that still alright?"

At this point, Fea would poke her head around the edge of the door, her ears initially upright and curious as the scent of many different animals reached her senses before flattening back as the aroma of a large and quite threatening predator seemed to drown out the lot... "What are we doing Here? We should leave..." Nervously, she would nudge the Elementor before turning her gaze to search for the beast... "Wait..." At the sight of Jace, Fea's tail would flick at the tip, recognising the male before looking back up at her companion, "I don't understand...He's here...but that smell..." Jace didn't seem too bothered, but Fea's senses wanted her to turn and drag her Pack Brother off in the other direction...

Gin saw settled in his usual seat when a knock came on the door. Curious as to who could be knocking on the door, he sat up a little and looked toward the door. Arching a brow, it took him a moment to realize that Tala was at the door, likely with little Fea. Still feeling rather tired, he groaned as he got up out of the chair and nodded. β€œIm here, Tala.” He said, heading past Jace and Ven toward the door.

Giving Tala a wave, he peeked to the side to see Fea looking a bit apprehensive about entering the class. He had to wonder if she sensed the predators in the room – a bear and an anaconda were not animals to underestimate after all. β€œGood Morning. Hi Fea…are you ready to come to class?” He asked, automatically knowing that no, she wasn’t. β€œAwwww come on, it’ll be fun…” Gin said, his tail lightly swishing, his hands in his pockets. β€œDon’t worry…everyone here is very nice and everyone will love you. I’ll protect you, I promise…” He said, addressing her directly and kneeling down to talk to her one on one.

Looking up at Tala, he gave him a little nod. β€œNo need to worry, Tala, I’ll take good care of her until you return.” That being said, Gin shifted into his wolf form and grinned at Fea. β€œCome on…we don’t want to keep Tala waiting. If he’s late for class then he’ll get into trouble.” With that he turned and headed back toward the front of the class, his tail swishing idly as he walked, expecting Fea to follow after him.

[Thanya enters for the new RP day]

Like a whirlwind, Thanya bursts in through the door to the shifter classroom. With the warming of the weather she seemed to have extra bits of energy. She was just about to do her usual round of greetings when she noticed a newcomer in the classroom, or rather two.

Thanya would exclaim in surprise. "Ah! It's Tala! I thought you were an Elementor! Is that why mentioned class yesterday?"

Thanya would move over and crouch down to Fea's level, looking her in the eyes. "Or...are you a new classmate, being brought her by your friend Tala?" Thanya hoped this was not the case considering how she has called her a nice doggy and pet her the other day. If she turned out to be shifter trapped in her animal form that would be really awkward.

Having not initially seen him upon his first glance around the room, Tala hadn't expected to hear Gin's voice, but the male's ears quickly pinpointed the Shifter and his eyes zeroed in on their target as he approached the doorway. Fea's ears perked up too and she watched the 'Wolf-but-also-Human' advance - noting Tala returned the male's wave before lifting her eyes as Gin now spoke directly to her.

"Come to class?" At this, the Wolf would tilt her head - She was certainly on her way to class, but Tala usually took another route - To back up that particular scenario, the scents they normally followed had reached their usual level of faintness by now, so for them to head in a completely different direction had confused her even more... Still, her ears would twitch with curiosity as Gin spoke of it being 'fun' and that everyone was nice and her Wolfish friend would protect her... What did he mean?

It suddenly dawned on her when the Wolf-Shifter reassured her Pack Brother that he'd take good care of her until he returned that they wouldn't necessarily be staying together that morning... "Wait, he's leaving?" She would initially look up at the Shadowmancer, her jaw dropping open in sort of horrified look before her attention was drawn towards Gin as he took on his more familiar-smelling form and mentioned they didn't want to keep Tala waiting... "But I thought..."

The voice of the little female from the evening before seemed to make her companion flinch and Fea would hear Tala stifle a somewhat tolerant growl as Thanya began to quiz him on his Knit before turning her attention towards the Wolf herself... "Classmate...?" She would give the slightest of tail-wags as the little Shifter crouched down to her level before turning to watch as Tala seemed to take the moment to nod to Gin and then hastily make his way up the corridor... "Wait...!" She wasn't sure how to take her companion's exit, but turned to search for a reassuring glance from Gin before stepping further into the classroom...

She wasn't exactly sure what to do now, but as she made her way over towards where the Wolf Shifter had headed, Fea would ensure she gave the one who smelt of Bear a wide berth before sitting down - her eyes scrutinizing the entire class warily...

~ Catherine entered Shifter Classroom ~

Rin's pace started to slow down as she'd reached the classroom door, stopping and sitting just outside for Jesse. "Sorry, I didn't mean to rush you..." Rin whined as she realised they weren't gonna be stupidly late. That they probably could have got there if they'd walked without wasting much time. Her ears perked up however as she heard a number of voices inside. Well, they definitely weren't first, obviously. Catherine would reach up to swipe her pew at the handle until she was able to turn it and open the door, walking in and glancing quickly around the room.

While she'd still rather not converse too much with people she doesn't quite know she can trust, it wouldn't hurt to at least acknowledge them. Shifting back into her human form, she would look around once more before speaking in a low voice. "...Hey." With that, she took her seat. Catherine would look in Ven's direction with a seemingly blank expression, as if still trying to work out how she's meant to feel towards the bear Shifter. Parts of the past certainly would continue to weigh down on her, no matter how hard she tried to ignore it. And the thought of acknowledging somebody as her father, whether someone of blood or not... Well, her back certainly possessed proof that she should remain wary. After a moment of staring she would look away and spend the next while looking to her desk. It may not be entirely easy, but him being the Professor as well, the canine Shifter would at least try to listen to Ven.

Jace had been reading his book in the peace and quiet of the room, finding it to be a great time for review. While he could do the same in his own room, this left him without worry of missing sleep or getting to class late. Just a relaxed silence from which to prepare before anyone else's arrival. He had not been waiting long when he was alerted to the presence of two others in the room. Eyes would unhurriedly rise to face the source of the voice, a voice he did not see very often. 'The professor.' He silently acknowledged to himself in slight surprise. He had just assumed, or perhaps associated, Gin as being his professor due to the others multiple absences in his time here. So to see the actual one was not something he had been expecting. Book marking his page, he would gently set it aside on his desk an offered a small head bow to the pair of them as he was greeted. "Good morning to you both as well. I would not necessarily cause it eagerness, just that by arriving early I can better relax in my studies." He would respond with his usual formal and polite nature, friendly smile on his face to his instructors. While he was eager to progress, it had not been the reason why he had come early and he saw no reason for him not to alert the professor of why he was here at this time.

As the professor would set his things on his desk and begin to write on the board, Jace would mentally go over the anatomy of the snake in his mind. He saw no reason to go back to his reading quite yet, as it may be rude to do so in the company of others. And he was already becoming well versed in the matter regardless, so practicing on his own mental map of the creature was just as beneficial as adding more details. 'It would not do to have so much information and not know where it all went.' He silently thought to himself. His mental mapping was interrupted a short bit later as the professor would address him again and inquire about what he had been working on while saying Gin had reported him making good progress. 'Good but not good enough.' Jace silently thought to himself, though gave no outward expression of that. His face remained a careful neutral as he would look to the man and respond after a few moments of thought. "Thank you, I have been striving to improve myself in shifting in my free time even if I am yet to reach my goal as of yet. I have been taking an alternative route to my studies. I had realized I had focused so much on the act of shifting that I had not focused truly on what I was becoming. So I have been occupying myself by learning all I can about the creature I can turn into." He would respond in a respectful tone while explaining his focus switch a little. He was beginning to have ideas and some measure of progress in shifting, though yet to reach the actual act. His gaze would briefly glance to his book then back to his instructor. "I've yet to shift, but i'm far closer than I was when I first joined." He would say with some small measure of pride in his voice which even surprised him slightly. He had been ashamed of his small shifter features so much in the past and when he first joined, yet now he was embracing it at least partially. It was strange to think of how much had changed since when he first joined. Their conversation would then be interrupted by the appearance of Tala and fea, which Jace gave a friendly smile to, and looked on in surprise as gin became a wolf while keeping Fea in the room. Apparently he had been assigned to watch over her today, which was something Jace would find to be an improvement. Thanya soon joined after and even Gin's mostly silent sister who surprisingly greeted the class. Jace would give a friendly smile to her in return and incline his head to her, and everyone else, in greeting.

Ven nodded in thought as Jace spoke. He had been surprised to hear of Jace’s conundrum, with being unable to fully shift into his given form. After speaking with Gin about Jace’s family life and his upbringing, it occurred to Ven that what Jace was experiencing was more mental than physical. Jace had been forced to hide his appearance for the whole of his life and was only now being encouraged to show everyone who he truly was. The majority of shifter families encouraged their children to shift from very young ages. Some children shifted without even thinking about it – kittens and pups in particular. It was possible that as a very young child Jace had been able to shift in the same way, inadvertently, but given his family life, he had been forced to suppress his instincts and remain in his human form. The fact that Jace was now reteaching himself and learning all that he could to overcome what he’d been told as child was very admirable.

β€œYou are doing exceptionally well, Jace. You are learning to overcome what you were taught as a child in order to embrace your shifter instincts. The more you learn about yourself, the more you encourage yourself to embrace your animal side, the more success you will have. Keep up the good work.” Ven said warmly and with encouragement. He knew that Jace’s successes had been hard won and he was proud of the snake shifter. Ven was also very proud of his son, Gin, for helping to guide the shifter on the right path. Ven had never met a shifter who didn’t know how to instinctively shift before, and he knew that he would have had a challenging time tutoring the young man. For a seasoned Pressor that was saying a lot, so to know that Gin, a recent graduate and a TA had been able to lead Jace on the right path…it meant the absolute world to Ven as his Mentor and his father.

While Gin spoke with a friend and invited what looked like an adolescent wolf into the class, Rin and Thanya arrived for classes as well. He was pleased to see them and let everyone get settled before he began his lesson. They talked about the Mentality of Shifting and what it meant to embrace your instincts. Ven knew that this lesson would be particularly helpful to Jace. Wrapping up his lecture, he gave one last example.

β€œEveryone has some degree of instinct. For regular people, its that feeling they get when they know someone is watching or following them down a dark alley. It’s the sixth sense that guides but isn’t prominent…its like a nagging feeling…For shifters, this instinct, when embraced and nurtured, it much more prominent. Animals rely on their instincts for survival and for shifters like us it is the same. We use our instincts to help guide us and it is by embracing these instincts that we become better shifters. Does anyone have any questions about today’s lesson?”

Ven knew that the lesson wasn’t hours long, but then again, Shifting was about practice and he didn’t want to be long winded with the lectures anyway – he wanted his students to use and practice their abilities as much as possible. In the classroom, they could try new things and ask questions as needed, that was what was more important to him.

Gin could sense Fea’s apprehension and her sadness at being left behind by Tala. He sighed a little but looked over his shoulder at Fea. β€˜Don’t worry, Fea, Tala is only going to class for a short time. His professor doesn’t allow animals in the classroom, that’s why you get to stay with me for today. Okay?’ Gin explained, leading her toward the front of the class. He stopped near his usual seat and laid down in his wolf form so that he could continue to communicate with Fea in case she had any questions.

β€˜Everyone here is an animal-not animal like me. You’ve already met my sister, Rin, who can become a Husky…Thanya, the energetic girl can become a long-tailed animal called a β€˜Bearcat’, Jace the pale boy there is learning how to become a large snake and the teach, Ven can change into a Bear. Not to worry though, everyone here is friendly and they wont harm you. But if youre apprehensive, stay by my side, okay?’ Gin had a feeling that Fea would not be so easily trusting. He suspected that she held a bit of trust toward him only because he was a wolf, like her.

As the lesson went on, Gin explained a few things to Fea and answered any questions that she might have. He wanted her to be curious about them, he wanted her to want to come to the lessons in the future. Rhysian wouldn’t allow Fea in the classroom and as a result, she needed another place to go. He didn’t mind keeping Fea company, especially if it meant preventing her from being cooped up in a dorm room or worse.

Once Ven was finished with the lesson, Gin looked around the room to see if anyone had any questions. Ven liked a more hands on class, which mean less lectures and more practicing, so he and Fea could play around if she was in the mood to do some exploring or something like that.

Jesse Randall (and Fea)
~ Shifter Classroom ~

User ImageUser Image

"Oh, it's totally fine!" Jesse breathed, trying to catch her breath - With Rin being a larger animal than she, the Little Fennec Shifter found she had to put in just that little bit more energy just to keep up, not that this was a bad thing as Jesse always enjoyed a good run!

She hadn't expected to see another standing outside of the classroom - the male had a Wolf with him and Jesse couldn't be entirely sure if she was just that, or perhaps a new and quite reluctant new student? Still, she followed Rin into class, nodding a cheery grin towards Thanya and Jace before reverting to her human form and taking her seat as Ven started the lesson. Although she didn't say anything directly to him, it was nice to overhear that the Serpent Shifter was finally starting to get a handle on his Raiment.

Fea on the other hand listened as Gin explained why her Pack Brother had seemingly abandoned her in a class full of not-animals and in a way, it made sense... Rather than leaving her by herself in his Dorm Room, perhaps Tala had thought it would be kinder to allow her to see what it was like to share a class with others? She still wasn't too impressed, but followed the now-Wolf-Shifter across the room to where he lay down

It was nice for the male to explain a little about the others gathered there and Fea would watch them all with great interest, wondering exactly how they would appear when the Head of the class - the Bear Shifter whom Gin tried his best to reassure her wasn't going to go wild and tear them all apart - would allow them their chance to change. She felt it safe to stick by the Not-Wolf however, laying down close by, yet not so close that their personal space was invaded.

It was fascinating to hear the Not-Bear speak of instincts, she had many of her own and could relate to some that had been mentioned, but it was when Ven finally moved the attention onto 'Practice' that the Young Wolf's interest grew. She had recognised Rin's scent as she and a smaller female had entered, but it wasn't until the students were allowed to begin practicing that Fea would even consider rising into a sitting position for a better look.

Jesse had to admit she was quite curious about the Wolf and although part of her wanted to rush on over and introduce herself, the Fennec Child would instead melt down into her Fox Form and head on over to Rin, "What do you think of our new Classmate then?" Obviously she would hold off on the question until her roommate had the chance to transform? Then she would sit herself infront of the Husky-Shifter, her head tilted slightly.

"Hmm..." Her ears began to flick about the class, listening for any conversations before looking back towards Gin, "So should I just..." There was a temptation to just head on over to someone and introduce herself, but with so many there, her instincts were telling her to wait and so she looked back towards the Wolf Shifter for his input, "They can hear me when they become Animal, right?"
