~ Eyrli entered the Market on New Day ~

Another new day, another chapter in the mute girls life as she was up reasonably early to wander the streets of Eoana. She found herself stopping to simply enjoy the cool air and bright sky that surrounded the area. It wasn't often she felt such a need to relax like this. Come to think of it, there were a few things that she found herself doing different. She'd ended up picking up sign language once again, as Thanya appeared keen for them to interact easier. Eyrli even had a haircut, primarily so it wasn't in the way so much during training, but also for a change of pace. Admittedly it felt... Odd. She wasn't used to being able to feel the wind against the back of her neck, and thus couldn't help but be surprised whenever it happened.

As the silent girl sat at a bench, admiring her surroundings she would be startled by a nearby sound of something breaking nearby, followed by some nearby people looking in the direction of the sound. Standing from her seat, Eyrli would jog over to investigate. What in the world just happened? She'd go around a corner to see a man being lifted to his feet by Gin, the assitant of her Elective. Right away the Elementor hurried her way over to try and lend a hand. She would put more force into her steps in order to get the Shifter's attention before giving him a nod in hopes he gets her wish to aid. Once he'd respond Eyrli would take hold of the strange mans other arm and following in taking him to the nearby Tavern.

~ Eyrli left for The Jolly Tavern ~

The man could feel the sharp pains of crashing into the stockpile of wares as well as the cold, hard surface of the cobbled path on which he lay, where he began to shiver. His weak gaze met the man who stood over him. Given his weak hearing, he could barely make out what the man was saying, just a few random words here and there, but not everything. He strained his gaze to see the stranger’s face, but the struggle against falling into unconsciousness proved a significant detriment, to the point where the red cloaked man could make out nothing concrete. “W-Who…?” The man suddenly felt his weight shifted as he was picked up off the ground and carried, his legs and feet still barely able stable as he “walked” alongside the stranger who, apparently, had decided to aid him.

As the two walked along, the cloaked man’s vision would start to vary between clear and unclear. There was a brief moment where his vision slightly clear to catch a view of the man who aided him, as well as another, a girl who had ran over and balanced him from the other side as the trio walked. The robed man had no idea who these two were or why they decided to help him, but, he certainly wouldn’t complain, not like he had the strength to.

The three would continue onwards, making their way to some destination unbeknownst to him.

It felt so great to feel the breeze in her feathers, see the world as the White Raven soared ever skyward... Any fears or distress faded away and were instead replaced with a sensation that was perhaps relief? He could see as far as the horizon, following her gaze as she seemed to hover in the air for a moment before wheeling downward and then gliding across the rooftops as she located the Marketplace.

Subconsciously rolling his eyes, the Diviner knew exactly what she was hunting down...Breakfast. "Is there anything that doesn't revolve around you filling your stomach?" he would muse, glancing around through Branwen's eyes as the Raven scouted out any possible target before coming in to land upon one of the stalls rooftops.

With her snow-white-plumage, the bird wasn't necessarily something one would miss, but she perched upon the wooden beam for several minutes before taking flight again. With a 'Caw' she rose into the air, gliding between the crowd before coming to land on a pile of sacking - just a few hops away from a particular grain stall...

"We don't steal, Bran." Patrick would warn, knowing full well the Raven could hear him - she knew better than to answer the male however - for that would draw attention...besides that, the Diviner was too far away to actually step-in and tell her off...she just needed to get a little closer...

One hop...Two... Step...Step... Streeeeetttttch.....! Craning her neck as far as she could, the White Raven - completely ignoring her companion's words scolding her from somewhere in the back of her mind - Branwen would lean as close as she could towards the nearest of grains before the stall owner seemed to catch wind of what she was up to and shoo her away with a wave of both hands... With a disapproving 'Craark' the Raven would take to the air, flying away from the vendor before suddenly deciding to circle back overhead...

"Don't you dare!" He saw the act before it happened and had Patrick been capable of rolling his eyes, or even lifting a palm to his face at that point, he may just have done so...Instead, he just breathed a sigh and watched through Branwen's eyes as the White Raven lifted herself high on snow-white-wings back into the air before setting her sights upon Square Park where she had left the Diviner resting beneath the boughs of one of the trees... "You know that's going to come back and bite us later, right...?" Hoping the man wouldn't put two and two together, Patrick started re-planning his route back through the marketplace - hopefully avoiding the stall altogether just incase...

With the bird now making her return journey, The Diviner decided that it would be best to perhaps relish the moment whilst it lasted and just settle himself into the flight... Enjoying the feel of the breeze drifting through the Raven's wings, Patrick would turn his attention towards the beauty of the sun as it started to slip from the sky, the colours reflected in the clouds...the sights of Eoana as the world started to slow down for the evening...a little piece of freedom...

[Where:] Market District [With:] No one [Feeling:] Contemplative [Outfit:] Robes and Tunic
[OOC:]
╔═══════════════════

Aemon entered the market district, exploring the various clothing vendors, all doing their best to attract customers with on special offer or another in order to sell their wares. Aemon paid no mind to such words until he found something that caught his eye. In his childhood, he’d had his fair share of encounters with merchants who tired to swindle him out of his coin. However, Aemon was never any trifling street-rat to be fooled, often times, he could see straight threw those who would outright lie to his face.

Regardless, he took the time to explore through the market, awfully reminiscent of the market places in his homeland of Azar. The nostalgia was almost bittersweet. Amidst his wanderings, he came across a family of merchants who possessed an array of well-made clothes, all sown by the merchants themselves, as shown by the members of the family piecing together new attire at the back of their stall. One of the males of the family approached Aemon and informed him of their wares, offers they had for the day, so on and so forth.

Aemon’s turquoise gaze scanned through the clothing. He had to admit, all the selections were of remarkably fine quality, so much so that…he found himself in the conundrum of not knowing which one to choose…“I suppose this is why people talk about having an ‘extra pair of eyes’…” He pondered to himself, as he found himself halted by indecision.

[ - Enter Market Streets for RP Day - ]

It was too nice of a day to waste. After sleeping in, Gin had had brunch with Ven and Gianna, his adoptive parents, before wishing them a good day – they had a wedding to plan – and heading out toward the market. In his wolf form, Gin slowly walked along, his nose sniffing, and his ears perked up as he went down the housing district streets heading for the market. It seemed that everyone was out and about; the crowd was massive! Not one to welcome someone stepping on his paws, Gin shifted into his human form and walked through the market, taking care not to bump into anyone if he could help it while at the same time keeping one hand on his coin purse – pick pockets loved a crowded market street after all.

As he meandered, he kept his eyes open for something special. He wanted to give Ven and Gianna wedding gifts to show his appreciation and love for them. They’d done so much for him and he wanted to pay them back at least a little bit with a wedding gift. Moving along, he didn’t take as much care to see where he was going. Before he knew it, he was wandering over to a little clothes stall that was run by a nice family that visited the island in the spring and summer months when their clothes were in higher demand.

Sniffing the air, he caught a familiar scent – Aemon. Looking up, he was surprised to see the Azarian standing at the stall, browsing the wares as well. “This really is a small island.” He said with a smirk, greeting Aemon in his own way. “Are you in the market for some new clothes already?” Gin asked, noticing that Aemon was wearing the clothes he’d given him – Ven’s. “Not that those clothes look bad or anything. I think they suit you.” He said casually, looking at a lovely sheer scarf that Gianna might enjoy.

Aemon was brought out of his crisis of indecision by and very familiar male voice. Looking to his left, he saw none other than Gin gazing at the Azarian with smile on his face. Aemon took in the shifter’s comments, however, the Azarian still felt the need to have a variety of clothing. All it took was one instance of forgetting to wash his clothes, and he wouldn’t be able to leave his room at the inn due to a lack of anything decent to wear. Nodding at Gin, Aemon replied, “Good morning, Gin. Yes, I thought I’d expand my selection of wardrobe a bit. I’ve managed to earn some money, may as well put it to use. However, if find myself in a most vexing conundrum…” Aemon returned his gaze to the selection of clothing…

He found it aggravating feeling so unable to make a decision. He eyed many fetching color patterns. One specific set of clothing called to him. It consisted of robes in an eastern style, much like what one would see in Azar or Pahtavan and possessed a very eye-catching colour scheme. Then, Aemon paused for a moment in thought, “An extra pair of eyes…” Looking back at Gin, he pondered…might Gin be able to assist him here? He gave the shifter’s own clothes a look over. They were…well…his choice of attire did reveal his chest and abdomen, which was logical considering the warmer weather. However, Gin’s clothes had a nice design and pattern to them, so much so that it gave the Azarian the impression that Gin knew a thing or two when it came to attire. He had also noticed how Gin was browsing for something was well. Maybe they could assist each other depending on what they were looking for? Only one way to find out….

“Gin…I’d like to get your opinion on this selection of attire, if you wouldn’t mind.” Aemon said, point at the robes he had his eyes on. In truth, Aemon wasn’t used to clothes shopping. Most of his life, he had the one set of clothes and armour. Back home in Azar, he’d set up camp, wash his clothes natural water deposits and leave them out to dry whilst bathing in Azar’s natural hot springs. So, he had never actually felt the need to buy new clothing. But, now he was here, in a more social setting, and he found that he could do with an extra opinion on his potential new attire.

Glancing over at the clothes that Aemon indicated, Gin arched a brow curiously. Tilting his head a bit, his ears fwipping this way and that, he hummed a bit. Grabbing the clothes, he raised them up and held them out against Aemon’s form. “I think it suits you, Aemon. The summer months here can be a bit unpleasant – probably not as harsh as the temperatures that you are used to, but enough that you will want to have a wardrobe that is cooling.” Gin said with a little nod.

What Gin didn’t say was that he thought the clothes would be very becoming on Aemon. They would show off his figure a little bit, not to mention some skin, much like his own clothes, and he liked the idea of that. But there was no way he was going to admit it. Clearing his throat a little bit, he felt his cheeks turn a very subtle shade of pink as he handed the clothes to Aemon and turned to continue perusing the wares that were available. He needed to find a proper wedding gift for his parents, he didn’t have time to oogle the Azurian.

[OOC:]
╔═══════════════════

Aemon listend and watched as Gin took the clothes the Azarian had indicated to and held to his form, the shifter’s eyes seeming to don and analytical gaze as Aemon observed Gin’s reaction to the choice of attire. Upon hearing the shifter approve of the clothing, stating how it would be the best choice given Eoana’s warm summers, Aemon nodded and shared Gin’s logic on the matter. Having light clothing would be best at this time of year, and further still, once he purchased some new armour, light of course, Aemon believed that this robe could act both as casual every day clothing, as well as battle attire. If he were to take into account the varying amounts of weight due to armour, weaponry and supplies he would require while on mercenary business, combined with these clothes, it would be perfectly balanced for travelling and fighting.

Aemon turned to face the vendor and spoke “I would like to try these on please.” The vendor nodded in response, more than happy to show Aemon to the private changing area at the back of their stall. It then only took the Azarian a few minutes, before he stepped out of the stall, having already paid the merchant, now getting a feel for his new, and very comfortable clothing. The material was remarkably light and granted ease of mobility, so much so that it felt like he was hardly wearing anything, and it allowed the fresh summer air to caress the skin of his scarred, yet well-toned abdomen. What is more, the attire also managed to cover the jewel in his chest, which would help ward off the pestering curiosity of prying eyes. Looking to Gin, he spoke once more, “Ah, it feels perfect. My gratitude, Gin. It seems I’m indebted to you once again.”

Gin breathed a sigh of relief when Aemon stepped away to try on the clothes. Before, he had avoided Aemon due to his resemblance to Sokea…but now, while some of those feelings still lingered but had faded somewhat, it seemed that he was seeing Aemon in a different light, a troubling light. Gin wasn’t comfortable with his attraction to the Azarian. His heart still needed to mend, and he knew that looking to another so soon wasn’t the wisest of courses. However, he had said that he would try to view Aemon as himself and not Sokea and thus, he needed to be brave and tamp down whatever these feelings were and do his utmost to give Aemon a chance.

Upon Aemon’s return, Gin looked at his acquaintance and swallowed, his cheeks flushing just a touch. He hadnt thought that Aemon would want to wear the clothes just yet, and so he was caught a bit off guard. Shaking his head a bit, he looked away, pretending to admire the scarves. “Think nothing of it, Aemon.” He said, glancing at the Azurian despite his best efforts. “They suit you…” He said with a nod, paying him a compliment outright.

Once Aemon had paid, Gin looked down the way at the other stalls. “I need to find a wedding gift for my mother and father…would you like to help me?” Truth be told he could do it himself, but he valued a second opinion and he wanted some company. Gin told himself that anyones company would do, but he knew that was a lie…

Estarossa Malxarra

User Image
As Estarossa walked the streets heading towards the academy he would find himself lurking amongst the civilians. He was always so distracted out here. So much potential, so much information. All of it right at the tips of his fingers. He was surprised how willing everyone was to be his friend after only being here for a few days. Such a kind and giving place this was...with the right look. As the young lord walked the streets making his way to the academy, his crimson eyes would fall on the white-haired man from the tavern. Aemon, if he remembered correctly. Raising an eyebrow he saw that he was accompanying another man, a dark-skinned, white-haired man. ' Why does everyone in this country have white hair? ' He would ask himself curiously. The last three people he met or saw had white hair. And many others had it as well. Was it a fad? Stress? A genetic trait that just so happened to be in 7 out of 10 people? Shaking his head he banished the thoughts and focused on his goal. He wanted to introduce himself to those two lovely specimens.

Making his way over casually Estarossa looked at the situation. It looked like the dark one was shopping for something, while Aemon was following, maybe trying on some of the clothes at the vendor they were in front of. But the two seemed deep in conversation and the dark one seemed flustered. His body language was a dead give away. Perhaps he and Aemon were more than shopping buddies? The air about them certainly gave him that idea. But he would know soon enough. As he approached he could see the dark-skinned one was a Shifter. Perhaps this would go south quicker than he imagined. The last Shifter he had spoken to was not too keen on his presence. But he heard the Shifter ask Aemon if he would help him with a wedding gift for his parents. A profoundly sweet gesture. Before Aemon got a chance to respond, Estarossa would interject. " Good afternoon gentleman! Do I hear talk about wedding gifts? Who's the lucky recipient of such a thoughtful gesture? " He asked looking from the Shifter to Aemon. When neither spoke he continued. " Oh goodness, forgive me! I am Estarossa. It is a pleasure to make both of your acquaintance. " Turning to Aemon he would smile slightly. " Mr. Aemon sir, I've seen you at Emma's tavern yes? She had said you were looking for jobs around the area. Did she ever pass on my message to you? " Estarossa would ask curiously. He had told Emma that if Aemon needed work he would be happy to find work for the man and pay him. Since he had not heard anything from either party he just assumed Aemon had found work or Emma was too busy to pass on the message, running a tavern would do that. But for now, the young noble would wait for their collective replies. He was sure they would be quite entertaining, to say the least.

Student || Aemon, the Outcast
[Where:] Market [With:] Gin and Estarossa [Feeling:] Calm, curious, slightly inconvenienced [Outfit:] Newly purchased attire
[OOC:]
╔═══════════════════

Once more, Aemon took in Gin’s compliments. Aemon himself definitely approved of the new attire. Aside from all the over advantages it provided, the clothing was in and of itself, quite fashionable. Aemon then heard Gin ask for his aid in selecting a wedding gift for his parents. However, before Aemon could even answer, a young man with black hair interjected. Aemon had seen him before at the tavern. He introduces himself as “Estarossa”. Which such a name and the attire he donned, Aemon was sure that the young man had to be of noble birth. That fact alone was enough to make Aemon cautious of this seemingly “friendly” noble. He had dealt with his kind in the past, in there were numerous occasions where Aemon had attempts made on his life with a noble’s hand behind the deed. What is more, this supposedly friendly noble had simply taken it upon himself to rudely interject and place himself in their conversation. Aemon despised many things and the careless, laidback attitude this Estarossa portrayed happened to be one of them. However, while Aemon saw things that he like and disliked in everyone, perhaps rudeness was not Estarossa’s intention. Furthermore, Aemon was steadily forming…something with Gin and it wouldn’t do to sully the mood by causing a scene.

Hence much like he did with everyone, Aemon turned to face the noble and respectfully bow his head and reply “A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Estarossa.” Aemon would listen as Estarossa continued to address him, stating how he had offered to aid the Azarian in finding work should he require the help. Clearly the young man learnt Aemon’s name back at the Tavern. Aemon had to wonder, why would this noble go out of his way to aid a complete stranger? Was he expecting something in return? What was his endgame, his why? Whatever his reason, Aemon usually never trusted someone he barely knew. However, he was no stranger to receiving help from strangers, Gin was a testament to that. But regardless, Aemon had already found himself an adequate way to make coin for the time being, so he replied “I see. Well, as of recently, I have already found myself an ample way to make coin. However, let it be known that your offer of support, while unexpected, is appreciated.” After all, Aemon had in beaten into him since childhood never to show ill to someone who offer help. In sense, Aemon was grateful that the noble had gone out of his way to support him, though his reasons for doing so remained unknown.

Aemon then continued to locate what a suitable wedding present would be for Gin to offer to his parents.

Although the marketplace could be a very busy area, with plenty of people out and about, Gin hardly ever expected anyone to approach him. He wasn’t the friendliest of people and given his near perpetual frown, people generally avoided talking to him if they could help it. So when a handsome man approached Aemon and himself, introducing himself boldly, Gin was a bit taken aback with surprise. Looking between Estarossa and Aemon, it soon became clear that the nobleman knew Aemon to some degree, hence the reason why he’d boldly approached them.

“Pleasure to meet you, Estarossa, my name is Gin.” He said politely but with a neutral tone. Continuing to look between the two as Estarossa spoke of possibly having a job for Aemon, Gin arched a brow. He hadn’t been aware that aside from classes and helping Emma at the tavern, that Aemon was doing extra work. Did he really need that much money?

Aemon seemed to have things already figured out for himself, but in any case, Gin was curious about what the job might be – he could always use some extra pocket money, especially with his parents wedding on the horizon. “I am curious, Estarossa…would I be a suitable candidate for this work that you offered Aemon?” He asked, his ears subconsciously swiveling forward in curiosity as he looked to the handsome nobleman.

Estarossa would smile pleasantly to the two. It would appear he was too late in acquiring Aemon, a shame really. " That is fine good sir. A shame I could not get to you sooner. But if you are square then I wish you good luck in your endeavors. " Estarossa was willing to leave it at that and be on his way. But then the dark-skinned one would speak up and introduce himself. Smiling happily Estarossa would size the man up since he was closer now. As the handsome Shifter would continue, Estarossa's grin would only widen. He wished to know if he was suitable for the work he had planned to offer Aemon. Chuckling to himself Estarossa would run a hand through his raven black hair. His crimson eyes landing on Gin. " Oh absolutely Gin. A strong young lad like yourself I'm sure would be able to do the job. " Estarossa's tone held a bit of laughter in it. But he would continue. " I am host to many nightlife events here since I've arrived I have done quite a few. However, I am gaining quite a bit of popularity here and the amount of people attending my events has grown beyond my control. So, I need someone who is much stronger than myself to help me maintain the events. As you may have guessed I am not a warrior, not a good one anyway haha. " He would say seriously.

As he had finished speaking the women behind the booth would giggle and wave while calling to him. Smiling sweetly to then he would wave casually. Turning back to Gin he would continue. " So, if you are willing that would be the kind of work you'd be doing for me. Naturally, you'd be allowed to enjoy yourself as well. But keeping order would be first and for most. I'm sure getting the guards or something would be far easier. But the guards make people uncomfortable. So I like to hire strong people that I know won't make the other guest uncomfortable. " He would say his tone even, smooth. " You need not decide now but I am staying at the Jolly Tavern so if you want to drop by when you're free, you can find me there. For a while longer anyway. " Estarossa would say while looking from Gin to Aemon and back. " Well, I have taken enough of both of your time, I appreciate the conversation but I will leave you to your shopping. Congratulations to your parents Gin. " Estarossa would say before giving a small bow to the two of them and turning to leave.

Aemon would listen to Estarossa and Gin as they spoke. Glancing at the shifter, Aemon would watch as the two continued to chat. As Estrarossa continued, Aemon felt the urge to release a sarcastic laugh, but, found it back. “Hmph…‘Nightlife events’…” Aemon too had been present at the Tavern and he seen, and heard these “events” himself, the giggled women in the market stall only adding to what he already knew.

As Estarossa bowed and made his leave, Aemon returned the gesture and spoke, “Farewell Estarossa, until we meet again.” Aemon watched as the noble would disappear from sight, and, turning to Gin, he spoke once more, “Hmm…’Nightlife events’…an interesting way to describe them. I’ve seen these events he speaks of myself…and heard the results…they’ve kept me up in the middle of the night once too often.” Aemon wore a slight look of contempt. It was true. He had been kept up one night or another due to Estarossa’s antics. “He’s a wild one indeed. Fond for nights of wine and passion.” Aemon kept his voice down as he addressed Gin, so as not to slander the noble. Regardless of Aemon’s personal feelings on nobles, the Azarian saw no reason to outright sully their name with ill repute.

Turning his gaze back to the attire that Gin was browsing, Aemon spotted a fine golden necklace with an emerald in it’s centre. “Would that necklace be a suitable wedding present Gin?”
