Yeah. That's impossible. If you want more donations, it might do more good to quest for one item at a time and put it's price and how much you have.
Of course, don't take my advice. I've only been donated about 2k. Everything else came from selling stuff.

Actually, most of it came from playing cards, and selling the tickets at 2 gold apiece. People scramble to buy it because tickets are usually more expensive, so I make money while other people save it. It's a win-win deal.
I tried it with slots, but the odds are down again so I am barely making any money with it.
