Calista sniffled, still hugging Adrian for a minute before she let go. "Daddy can we eat breakfast so then we can go see mommy and Riley?" She asked, lookin up at him now.

((I was trying really hard to be coherent. My friend got some drunk texts from me though. I have no idea what I was trying to tell him. lol))
Calista followed after Adrian, sniffling still as she wiped the tears from her eyes and sat at the table. She sat quietly while she watched him cook, just swirling her finger on the table when she'd occasionally look down, most likely thinking about what she had done to Sloan.

A short time later, Adrian came back with a short stack of pancakes for each of them, setting them down on the table before making a return trip for syrup and butter and sat down next to Calista.

Calista ate her breakfast in silence, though once she was done, she put her fork down, staring at the table in front of her. "Daddy...am I gonna get in trouble for what I did last night?..." She asked quietly, feeling very upset about it. Her mother had told her she couldn't use her powers to hurt people unless they were bad, but she didn't just hurt Sloan, she killed him.

"Oh, honey, no...No, of course not..." Adrian said pulling her into a hug, wings and all. "You were alone and you were terrified, anyone would have done the same in your situation. You had no choice in the matter."

"But mommy said she'd be in big trouble if she ever hurt anyone again...and I did something worse than that...She said I wasn't supposed to do that...she didn't want me to do that..." Calista murmured, clinging to Adrian once again.

"So I'm not going to jail?..." Calista sniffled. She didn't want to go to jail, she was afraid she'd be put with Sikes in jail. Obviously she was still a little too young to understand that there were hundreds of jails all over and different ones for different people, but she was still afraid of getting in trouble.

Calista nodded, feeling comforted as she now wriggled out of the hug. "I'm gonna go get ready so then we can go see mommy and Riley." She told him before running off to her room to go get dressed and brush her teeth and whatnot.

Adrian got up to clean the table while Calista scampered off, getting things in the dishwasher before going to get dressed as well.

"Okay! I'm ready! Let's go!" Calista said as she ran out in the living room, still pulling on her shoes as she hopped a little down the hallway.

"So, you want to walk, ride, or fly?" Adrian asked as he waited by the door with a small smile. He had to admire how cheery she sounded despite the state of her mom and baby brother.
