"Alright, up we go." Once they were outside, Adrian scooped her up in his arms before he took off towards the hospital.

(( rofl Omg that face was hilarious))
When they got to the hospital, Calista wriggled out of Adrian's arms, heading for the neonatal unit since that was the only one she remembered how to get to. "Do you think Riley's okay daddy?" She asked as she approached the doors, waiting for him to get up to the doors so they could be let in.

"He should be..." Adrian said as they were let inside. On the one hand, Riley was two months premature. On the other hand, he wasn't in the same shape Amaya was in. He wished he could just turn the clock forward to when the both of them were okay.
((That doesn't answer my question.... gonk ))

"Hi Riley. Daddy and I are here." Calista announced as she pulled up a chair to see the small baby.
Riley kicked his foot and moved his arms around a bit at Calista's voice. It seemed he was awake, and had a little more energy than the night before at least, though he was still hooked up to many wires and tubes.

((Your lack of answers worries me greatly. You're enjoying my pain and suffering aren't you? gonk ))
"Hi Riley. Sorry you can't come home just yet." Adrian said as he stood behind Calista. He'd calmed down greatly from yesterday, but it still hurt to see his son stuck in a box and filled with tubes like that.

"He's responding well so far." The doctor said as she walked up to them. "He's responding much better and faster than we thought he would anyway, which is a good thing. He should be able to breathe on his own in two more weeks, but we'd like him to gain three pounds before we send him home." She told Adrian, looking over the baby's vitals.
"Wouldn't he still be really little though?" Calista asked, looking up at the doctor.
Smiling a bit, the doctor shook her head. "He'd be six pounds by that point, which is small, but he's going to grow pretty fast now so long as he keeps doing this well." She told the little girl.

"That's a relief." Adrian said with a relieved smile and a sigh. "Want to go see mommy now?" he asked as he looked down at Calista. It sounded like he could stop worrying about Riley for the most part. Now if he could just get some good news about Amaya.
((You're mean... ;-; ))

Calista nodded, hopping off the chair and holding onto Adrian's hand, looking up at him with a smile. She didn't know where her mom's room was, so she'd have to wait for Adrian to show her.

"How's Amaya doing?" Adrian asked one of the doctors once they got to her room. He squeezed Calista's hand worriedly in desperate need of some good news about her.

"Unfortunately not any better than before. We haven't gotten any sort of response in the last few hours and any sedative would have long worn off by now." Dr Wilder said as he came over to Adrian. "If she is attempting to, or even capable of healing herself at this point, it is not going well. Between all trauma of yesterday and the trauma she suffered in the ring, it may just be too much to recover from this time.."
Calista had already gone over to her mother's side by this point, not hearing a word Dr Wilder said. "Hi mommy...I'm sorry you're hurting..." She mumbled as she looked at her mother, tearing up a bit to see how weak she looked.

Adrian clenched his fists and gritted his teeth. That wasn't the answer he wanted to hear. "No, she's going to get better...She's got Calista to take care of, she can't die." he said, trying to reassure himself of the fact before going to Amaya's side. He could never quite believe it though, now matter how many times he told himself. "Amaya, you better be trying to get better....Calista and I really want you to wake up soon..." he said as he gently held her hand.

"She looks like she was hurt really bad daddy..." Calista murmured as she gripped the sheets on Amaya's bed a little.
Hearing the two voices, Amaya's brain activity picked up again, just for a fleeting moment before they stopped talking. The respirator still forced air into her lungs at a steady pace, though she laid completely still in the bed, pain even evident on her face though she wasn't awake.

"Yeah, she was....But the doctors are doing their best to help her get better..." Adrian said putting a hand around Calista's shoulders and pulling her close. "See that machine over there?" he said pointing to the thing that showed Amaya's brain activity. "It's not showing much right now because mommy's in such a deep sleep. But when it starts to pick up that means she's a little closer to waking up. You can see how it gets active when we talk so you know she can hear us. If we keep coming in here and talking to her, I'm sure she'll wake up eventually."

"But if mommy can hear us, why won't she wake up?" Calista asked, staring at the screen as she watched it respond as it had been. "Does she not want to wake up?"

"She does, but mommy's still too weak right now. Her body's trying to focus on getting better first, and then when she's got some energy to spare she'll wake up." Adrian told her.
