He tilted his head in the direction of the blue that had made the comment of being rude, even more so that they didn't have to stand if they didn't want. It was a thought that had crossed his mind, but much like the fact he hadn't walked off the sands he couldn't bring himself to sit.

This was the pits for him, so few candidates left and him one of them.

One. Two. Two more over there…six. There looked to be six babies left. Aroontwa was both relieved and disappointed. He would love to be chosen today but odds were definitely against him now. Still, he wanted all the babies to find theirs and be happy! With the way things had been going…he had a few worries hidden away in his head.

He let out a little cheer of agreement when the blue said his piece. No one forced anyone to stand on the sands! It was a choice and an honor so many had disgraced that day. Be proud!

Seven? Aroontwa looked at the new brown. Where did you come from, handsome one?

"You are very handsome," Kinye confirmed for the brown as he began his rounds, though it was clear he already knew that. Why not tell him what he wanted to hear if it made him feel good? She nodded as he continued on, then looked out into the eggs, wondering if anybody else had been waiting for some attention as well.

Candidate Nalacko she/her

A brown appeared to be admiring himself on an egg shell. Nala wondered who he’d want, but was fairly sure it wouldn’t be her. She shifted nervously as the brown asked the crowd of candidates to move a little closer. Should she? He’d asked politely. Could he really want her? No surely not. Reluctantly, the tiny candidate shuffled a few feet forward and glanced at the handsome brown.

FISHER

Where the fresh between did this one come from? Fisher couldn't help the laughing snort that bubbled in her chest over his antics despite how seriously the brown was clearly taking them. The way he fawned over his reflection reminded her entirely too much of the people at High Reaches and for once she was pleased to see a dragonet that seemed heavily suited for her.

When he continued to speak and asked people to come forward, naturally she stepped in. There was no way this brown would be interested in her but they were supposed to play nice, right? Go on and show love and whatever else lessons she was trying to remember slow and steady. "Yanno, if you walked it would show you off more to everyone an' they could see how utterly breathtakin' ya are."

Kinyegele

"Dashingly so," had she been more theatric, perhaps, she would have swooned for the brown for effect. But from someone so...Kinye it wouldn't have had the proper effect. Instead, like the good girl she was, Kinye took a few more steps closer when the brown bid it - though no closer than any of the boys would have. Clearly, they'd be more desirable to such an attractive brown.

Or maybe he'd prefer a pretty girl - which she was not.

Did she?

Fahn considered not taking up the brown's request to come forward, but what was the harm if he wasn't going to hurt anybody? Of course....an unimpressed Dragonet was dangerous......

So she marched right up to take a better look, making sure to put on an appropriate show of 'oooo'ing and 'ahhhhh'ing over him. It was all good fun, right?

Zeraiah

Standing back might have kept him out of the rest of harm's way, but it also made him harder to see for all these demanding dragonets, didn't it? So, Zeraiah took a deep breath and hitched a few steps forward. If the brown wanted a good look, well then. Let him look. He straightened his shpulders and lifted his chin. Here I am.

S'lys of Brown Leoniath

S'lys returned S'mol's grip and gave him a faint smile. "Seems like." He'd have a group, a wing to be a part of. For a brief second, he felt himself unworthy of such a thing. How long had it been since he truly belonged to a family? But Leoniath would have none of it. He pressed his head against S'lys' leg before rubbing his body against him. The brown gave a chirp before heading after his sisters.

Leonaith was a bit sad that Samodith didn't want to race but there would be other chances! So the little brown set off to chase his other sisters for a bit before returning. He wasn't as fast but he didn't care! "I'm done playing!" He was about to ask to be oiled, like many of the others when the rude Bronze rider spoke out. S'lys rolled his eyes, gathering up his dragonet. "Pay them no mind. We need to focus on you."

Leoniath huffed slightly, "He disrespected Grandmother!" But he was but a wee dragon, not ready to take on fully grown bronzes but one day! Hide color was just a color to him! He'd take on the world if it meant protecting his loved ones.

S'lys rubbed his face but set about oiling the young dragon. As he was doing so, he noticed S'mol talking to someone.. With a knife.. Hmm. Odd. He shrugged slightly and went back to Leoniath who was starting to yawn. There was so much going on, a girl was being carried off? Or something? S'lys didn't like the commotion one bit.. He couldn't wait to get.. home.

Hmm. He was going to have a new home now..

Oh? Another secret hatchling. And a stunner of a brown at that. Well, he was calling for a line up, may as well form up. Stepping up, Solly smoothed her robes as she once again settled into a wide stance with her hands clasped behind her back. Worth a shot, after all, didn’t know until you tried.

Rykin

While he had been a little too late to line up for Slytherin, Rykin shrugged slightly and stepped forward for this striking brown. He wasn't afraid to admit that one of his top priorities at this point was not making Western look any worse than it already did.
