They give me really bad nightmares. Last dream I've had because of them I thought I joined the Marines, trained as a linguist, but never got to use my skills because I died on the front lines.

Anything truly shitty in my life is out of my hands for the moment, so I'm just letting them be for now.
What has me frustrated is my dad's middle name. I don't know where it came from or what it means. It's Elit, the closest I've been able to come are:
Elitzkoff - A form of the surname Eletsky indicating ancestry from the Russian city Elets (Yelets).
Ellis - A form of Elias, a derivative of Elijah.
and Elek - a Hungarian name.
That's assuming, of course, that the name came from somewhere and isn't seriously butchered (like my last name is - Veek from Vigesaa).

Etymology of names? That does sound frustrating. Other etymologies are annoying enough; names can be quite a chore.

Almost all of south Louisiana is on tornadoe watch. The weather is fierce and the wind is crazy.
Edit: So far it's just a big storm. I think it's already blown over us, and we're just getting the wind.
