Black is the presence of all colors. So it really doesn't matter how dark a color gets, it can't be black unless every color is there.

The darker the color gets the more colors it will absorb.

A color is seen when that wavelength of light is reflected, therefore it can't be present and it must be there for the color to be considered black.

You either just contradicted yourself or created a paradox.
That sentence confuses me.
I know that when you see black it's because no colors are being reflected back at you. Things that are black absorb the entire spectrum.
As you change the value of a color, you are either adding or taking away the other colors of the spectrum.
Thus adding more would make black.

Basically what I said was that because blue is being reflected it can't be considered black, just a dark shade.
