The girl that will, in three weeks, hopefully be my girlfriend has had to go into hospital, and I can't visit her because she's in Japan.

Bass: My dad is in and out of the hospital a lot because of his mystery disease, so I can relate. Just think good thoughts and hope for the best. 3nodding
Kusa: The power of youth? I think that this power is over-rated in today's youth-obsessed society. Power should belong to the people with intelligence, wisdom, and balanced hormones.

And I rather suspect we would have had a different president in the USA for the last 8 years if things like that actually happened in real life... (Gosh, that came out a LOT more bitter than I had intended...) Sorry, Shrub fans, but, Republican or Democrat, I've always liked to believe that the president's smarter than I am. Even Nixon, who I didn't like as a person (historically only; I'm not THAT old) was a smart president. GW is one of those rare cases where I KNOW that he's not smarter than I am. sad

Kusa: Don't worry about it. I'm mostly beyond the point of mental scarring. Except for paradoxes. -.- Time paradoxes make me scream and want to stab myself in the ears so I don't have to hear of it anymore. I'm so glad we don't have time travel.
Edit: aretoo, I concur. I prefer to have leaders, of any country, to be more intelligent than the majority of the population, not the other way around. GW, and the entire United States as a whole, though not necessarily the individual people, has made me feel depressed and hopeless about the state of mankind.
