They were down to one more hour. Unfortunately, Olliah could feel her queen's quiet exhaustion. Pain was shared between their link. Still, the gold was not going to give in, and was determined to see Fall through to the end. Between catching two dragons, and taking a few bad hits, the thin gold was not quite up to fighting form.

Still . . . They would persevere.

To your right.

A burst of flame from the flamethrower turned the silver threads to harmless ash.

The kreel of fear that came from Altoth as she was blown out of formation was palpable, though W'tarl calmly turned in his straps to assess where they were headed.

There's thread behind us, dear. I need you to turn carefully and get it! he instructed, feeling his beloved's nervous energy as she did what was told, yellow and grey whirling in her eyes, even as she flamed the pesky thread.

A gust of wind kicked up, causing the gold to strain against it, to keep in formation. It was strong, but not as strong as Fianth. The queen pushed through until it passed, humming her pleasure at finding another pocket of relatively calm airspace.

Weaving towards a small patch of Thread, Olliah aimed -- but the wind kicked the flame and the Thread out of place. Instead of catching the Thread, Fianth, once again, took the hit. The queen hissed in pain as the Threads wrapped around her shoulder, chest, and arm. Oh, precious! Olliah moaned in despair, before the two disappeared to the cold of Between.

When they did reappear, the queen's shoulder dripped with fresh blood. Still, she did not falter, nor blame. Better me than you, or our wingmates, or those below. I'm all right. It's just a little sting. But Olliah knew her queen was likely in need of some solid recuperation. She feared dhow they would fight when Thread came almost daily.

The wind continued to blow, and Dormith slowed in his pushes against it - both man and dragon were blown out of formation and, startled, were knocked into a clump of thread. Though it was quickly dealt with, the dragon didn't seem to muster up much gusto.

Try to coast for a bit. Gather up your strength.

M'nr thumped his shoulder - hard. That had been a bad hit, and Faranth forbid he have to take his bonded back to the healers this far into the game!

Olliah was impatient as they found themselves in another patch of quiet air. With Fianth hurting, part of the woman wanted nothing more than to flame down Thread for payback. And what of all the dragons who had fallen this day? If only she could do more. . . and yet. What she was doing was enough. Keeping Fianth alive was important. Supporting the Wings was important.

Well at least she was capable of rolling out of the way of damage. Alosha sighed, mentally wading through the marathon of self pity that her green was going through. She needed to get that fixed and fast!

Dormith was so tired, he couldn't even see when he was getting beat up by thread - or rather, didn't care to shake it off unless his rider sent them between.

W'dre was a little ready for a nap too, but they had to push on.

Thankfully, the woman's desire to do more was met. A patch of thread came down, and swinging in her seat, with a well timed shot from her flame thrower, she turned it into nothing but harmless ash.
