For the religious topic at hand.
I live by this. If there is not enough info to prove something is true or something is false than don't make a concrete statement either way. That way you can change your opinions when more info turns up with out having to admit you where wrong.
I only discuss religion with my dad for my own safety. I am a overly well educated, intelligent young woman which hence makes me very liberal.

That sucks. sad I'm perpetually in a cycle of having nothing to do, the all of a sudden way too much. Each cycle lasts about a week. ninja I have far too many medical appointments.

Homework and projects for school. I had like 90 pages of small print to read just for one class. I have an exam on Tuesday. Plus I'm still catching up on the sleep I last from a slumber party I went to the other day.

I was here...sort of...just off in another tab, purchasing performance car parts...and some random paraphernalia, like sweatshirts, hats and the like.

Urg.... I had being forced to read. Which reminds me, I need to read more of the Golden Compass. *glares down at the book* Why am I having so much difficulty reading you?!

Because it drags a bit. frankly it was an ok story but not a favorite of mine. What I liked best was the whole animal companion/soul element of the world they live in.

I tend to dislike books when I'm required to read them for school...otherwise, I'm a damn bookworm.
Even when I'm not required, I still have a hard time reading books that were once required to be read in school...something about having to over analyze them.

Ah, alright. That may explain it. I like stories to have a little drag, but also a lot of action. And some romance. sweatdrop Cause I fall for that kind of stuff. But I don't read romances, just romantic fantasy. ((I hope that made sense to you... it barely even makes sense to me. xd ))
EDIT: Arc: Yeah, I hate over-analyzing everything. It makes me hate reading those books. And some of them are good books too, I just can't look at them anymore. xp
So, what's your guys favourite genre of books? How about a favourite book in particular or an author?

I'm a fantasy reader mostly. Give me dragons, and sword fights and some magic and the like. I don't mind a little romance but I refuse to read gushy or explicit romance things talk2hand I generally stay clear of modern day dramas but I don't mind scifi stories so long as they are not entirely about humans blowing the brains out of man eating aliens rolleyes

Fantasy for the most part. I enjoy a bit of science fiction here and there, and I read a good deal of nonfiction too. A lot of psychology books lately, though I'm also halfway through a book about genetic diseases. ((I have many odd hobbies. >.>))
Yeah, I agree. I can't stand things that are just romance. I'm like "Ugh, come on, get into a fight scene already." Generally I read things that don't have romance, or just a little. And only when recommended by a friend.
