"Rotom! Keep at it! Another Hex attack!" I called out. Rotom repositioned itself and unleashed its ghastly attack once more, exploiting the Tyrantrum's paralysis for every bit it was worth. Granted, Rotom had other Ghost attacks like Shadow Ball, for example, but I didn't find it worth it right at the moment. It was a case of having to go all out really fast.

The Hex would grip the poor Tyrantrum, causing it mind numbing pain. The mighty beast would never have gotten its teeth on that ghost despite the immense power it possessed, not in this battle at least. After thrashing around for a bit the dinosaur would faint from the pain, unable to keep up with this anymore.

"I should bring you with me the next time I go to a casino." Diantha laughed as she recalled her Pokemon. "Maybe this next one can do something." The champion said as she tucked Tyrantrum's Pokeball away in her purse and brought out another, tossing it onto the ground.

"Gour!" Chimed the pumpkin ghost Pokemon as it appeared from the ball.

"Shadow Ball, ma cherie." The champion ordered.

The Pumpkin Pokemon would let out a shrill haunting cry as it conjured from its pumpkin mouth a mass of shadows and sent it flying towards the Rotom. Not an unfamiliar attack for Blizzard and Rotom but works all the same.

I almost couldn't believe it. Rotom managed to pull off getting away from that one without a scratch by such an ungodly brute like that. However, I had the feeling my luck would not hold. This next one was going to be fresh and unhindered by all means. Rotom had to be ready for whatever it was.

When the next Pokemon came out, I stared in confusion for a second, trying to figure out what that thing was. "What is that Pokemon?" I asked, mostly to myself and not really expecting Diantha to hear my musing. It had a otherworldly feel, not too unlike Rotom...which immediately tells me Ghost type, much to my dismay. This might turn ugly real quick.

"Rotom! Watch it!" I shouted to my Pokemon. Rotom tried to weave out of the way of the attack, only to get pelted hard by the dark mass, causing extensive damage to the small ghost.

"TOOOM!" Rotom cried out.

"Yea, I think this is where our luck runs out...Rotom! Return fire! Shadow Ball!" I shouted. Forget the set-ups like the last time and hoping for the best, we needed to keep whatever advantage we had our hands on for now.

Rotom managed to right itself back up and formed a dark mass itself, firing it towards the opposing Pokemon.

"Phantom Force, cheri!" Diantha ordered as the enemy's Shadow Ball was fired off.

The Gourgeist would give a laugh sinister as it began to become opaque and fade away, the face on its pumpkin being the last thing to disappear as the Shadow Ball blasted through it and caused it to disperse. The pumpkin ghost was now gone, not a trace left behind. Where did it go?

As I watch the Gourgeist vanish from the retaliatory Shadow Ball, I was caught a bit of guard. "Blast it, should have saw that one coming..." I said. Of course it wasn't going to be that easy to hit that thing. I looked around the field, Rotom zipping around itself, trying to find where the opposing ghost went. This wasn't good. Rotom was good as nailed with this. There was no where to hide from such an attack.

"Ro...Tom." The electrical spark spoke.

"Hang on, Rotom...don't lose your cool yet." I said.

"Ma cheri loves to play peekaboo." Diantha said with a laugh.

As if on cue the Gourgiest would reappeared behind the Rotom and attempt to snatch it up in its 'hair' arms and pull it into its deathly loving embrace. The pumpking ghost would sing joyful as it squeezed the Rotom tight with its ghostly appendages, taking delight in its suffering.

"ROTOM!" I shouted towards my Pokemon.

Rotom looked down, only to see nothing but paranormal masses lashing out and entangling the ghost. "RO! TOOOOM!" Rotom squealed out in pain. The attack was nothing short of catastrophic. I knew that before the attack even connected. With the attack eventually over, Rotom fell down upon the ground, stray sparks going left and right out of the ghost's control. "...tooooommm..." It painfully moaned. It was done.

"Rotom, return, you did good today." I said, recalling the ghost back to the ball. That little spark did more than anything I could have asked from it and grateful I was. "Alright." I said, looking at the opposition. I wasn't sure as to what to send out next. I had to make every last clash count. On the plus side, I managed to get rid of one hell of a powerhouse in that Tyrantrum, Swords Dance or no. I know she still has that Hawlucha in the waiting, and this thing right in front of me. I stared at Diantha for a couple of seconds, trying to read her all I could. I then finally made the decision. "Ok, let's try this. Typhlosion!" I called out.

I tossed the Pokeball out and out came the proud flaming Pokemon out for battle. "Ty-SION!" Typlosion roared out, his mane ablaze, getting ready for battle.

"Let's try this...Typhlosion! Flamethrower!" I called out.

"TY-PHO-SION!" The Pokemon roared out, spewing a massive inferno from his mouth, straight for the Gourgeist.

"Pain Split, ma cheri!" Diantha called out to her ghost as the Flamethrower swept over the poor pumpkin Pokemon.

From inside the fire the Gourgeist would let out a cry of pain but it wouldn't not take this pain lying down. A red glow would surround Typhlosion as an unseen force attempted to rob him of his strength, to make him suffer the pain which he inflicted on Gourgeist.

Woah, that thing didn't care for that fire attack at all. It's a bug type? Or maybe Grass? I'm actually banking on the latter actually now that I'm getting a good look at it. Still though, what little bit of good news I did get out of that ended up bad from the next attack. A Pain Split? You have GOT to be kidding me! "Typhlosion! Watch it!" I shouted. Unfortunately, it didn't take long for Typhlosion to become linked with the phantasm and stumble forward a bit once it felt its energy robbed from it so suddenly. I guess it couldn't be helped. But maybe it can play into my favor here in a short bit. First things first though.

"Typhlosion! Another Flamethrower!" I called out.

"Ty-PHO-SION!" It shouted in defiance, leaping back some and unleashed another inferno to incinerate the opposing ghost.

Once again the flames engulfed the Gourgeist but this time there was little it could do in retaliation, the attack simply did too much damage and thus the pumpkin ghost fell to the ground, out cold.

"Thank you, ma cheri, you did well." Diantha called out to her Pokemon as she recalled the ghost, then switching out her ball for another in her purse. "Time for a reappearance, mon cher!" The champion said as she tossed another ball onto the field, the device popping open to reveal once again Hawlucha.

"Use Hi Jump Kick!" The championed ordered.

The Hawlucha would let out a battle cry before charging towards the Typhlosion. The bird would kick off the ground and come at the Fire type knee first, however this would only turn out to be a bluff as the luchador would use its wings to adjust course and flip backwards, using its momentum to deliver an upward kick to send Typhlosion airborne.

To finally be rid of that Gourgeist that gave so much greif. That's a relief...two down, four to go. That said, this was only going to get more pressing the further I manage to get through her roster, and my Pokemon are trying really hard not to get too far behind. Typhlosion didn't care for that Pain Split at all, but apparently is feeling fine for the moment. At least...for now anyways. I then perked up when the next Pokemon was called. "I had that feeling..." I said.

When the Pokemon was released, I then perked up. The Hi Jump Kick call. Is this thing a Fighting type as well as a Flying type? Then again...GRAY's comment earlier. Luchador Pokemon. It would make sense. Problem is, that just did nothing more than spell trouble. "Typhlosion! Watch out!" Typhlosion backed away some, only to fall for the feint and gets kicked right off his feet, practically going off in a arch from the force of the blow and hitting the ground hard soon after.

"Ugh..." Even I cringed from that one. "Typhlosion! Can you get up!?" I called out.

"Siooooon...ty-sion..." The poor fire type was uneasy, but still up. To say the least neither one of us expected that kind of force from such a thing. Worse still, if this thing is every bit of a flying type as well as I expect it to be, I doubted Typhlosion's Reversal attack was going to cause the extensive damage that I hope it would. Hell, considering this Hawlucha is essentially a fresh Pokemon, I doubted anything that Typhlosion could do that could make it hate life for the rest of its time out. Regardless, Typhlosion needed to roast this bird as hard and as much as he can before Typhlosion ends up calling it quits this fight.

"Typhlosion! Fire Blast!" I shouted.

"Ty-PHO!" Typhlosion dug his feet down into the ground and braced himself. "SION!" The hardy fire Pokemon unleashed a massive inferno which on its path unfurled into its trademark kanji sign, rushing for the opposing Pokemon.

"Hawlucha, Aerial Ace!" Diantha cried out as the Fire Blast was fired off.

The wrestling hawk would jump off the ground and with a flap of its wings attempt to shoot up into the air to try and avoid the incoming Fire Blast. Whether or not successful in avoiding it the Hawlucha would continue on its course as it shot up like a rocket. Once reaching a comfortable height the bird would dive bomb straight for Typhlosion, coming down on it in its signature T shaped pose.

(Going off of Fire Blast's accuracy for shits and giggles. 1-85, it hits but Hawlucha fights through the resulting explosion to attack. 86-100, Hawlucha avoids it completely.)

As big as the attack was, as powerful as it was, even amplified by the likes of Typhlosion's Blaze traits meant nothing to the sheer agility that the Hawlucha had. "Typhlosion! Watch it!" I shouted out. Typhlosion, however, wouldn't be able to get away from the attack however. After taking considerable amounts of damage, the bird would overtake the proud fire Pokemon. Crap...

"You tried, Typhlosion, come on back." I said, recalling Typhlosion back to his ball. Now I was left at a loss. Typhlosion is down, Rotom is down. This Hawlucha threw a proverbial wrench in a lot of what I was wanting to do. First instinct was to send Telia out, but I had no idea what else that he could have. Hell, this thing might be capable of using Shadow Claw or Feint Attack for as all I know, putting Telia in a world of hurt. One of the smaller fighting types, to be sure, but it shows that it has plenty of assault power in those limbs. I didn't want to use Weavile right away, still in anticipation for whatever Mega evolution she had, because he's been my best bet in busting them...in a matter of speaking anyways. There was Porygon-Z, who had plenty of assault power to boast itself as well. In fact, a good shot of Ice Beam or Thunderbolt would cripple that bird hard, I would think. That said, it was probably about as durable in the long term as Weavile with barely the speed to match. If I'm right about this thing being a Fighting type, then I'd literally be sending Porygon-Z to the potential slaughter. He probably would have been better off being sent out during that Tyrantrum or that Gourgeist earlier. Then Psy, if I am right about this thing being a fighting type, I could use his various Psychic abilities, but then there's the flying attacks to worry about. Whatever I chose, I had to make it count in spades. This was going to get considerably ugly...

"Porygon-Z!" I shouted. I tossed out the ball and out came Porygon-Z, ready for battle.

"Po-RRRRYYY!" It shrilled out once it was revealed.

"Porygon-Z! Ice Beam!" I shouted.

Porygon-Z fired off its chilling beam towards the opposing Pokemon. I needed this fight done in a hurry.

"Luch!" The Hawlucha shouted in surprise as the Ice Beam came at it the moment it turned around to face its new adversary, the hawk hadn't seen it coming. The frigid blast of frozen energy may have been the first real hit it took in this battle but the Hawlucha was simply too tired to withstand it, the ice completely consuming it as the bird toppled over.

"My, I am certainly on the ropes." Diantha said with a smile as she recalled her Hawlucha. "Let's see if I can't regain some momentum, oui?" The champion said as she recalled her Hawlucha, stowing the ball away in her bag before fishing out another and tossing it onto the field.

"Aurorus!" Roared her second prehistoric Pokemon. While Tyrantrum was certainly big this one was even bigger, though perhaps not as fierce looking. The long necked Pokemon would fan its luminescent frills as it appeared, stretching out as it prepared for battle.

"Ma beaute, show them the elegance in your strength, use Hyper Voice." The woman called out to her Pokemon.

The Tundra Pokemon would let out a low moan as it inhaled deep, preparing for the shout it was about to perform. Certainly Blizzard was familiar with this move but he was about to see a slight twist to it.

"Aurooo!" Shouted the Ice type, it powerful voice sending shock waves. While the Hyper Voice was positively loud, the strange part was the more it shouted the colder it got around the area. A layer of frost would rapidly begin to form on everything around the Pokemon, Porygon-Z included. Hyper Voice wasn't an Ice move, was it?

Jesus Christ...what could have Hawlucha done to warrant getting taken out like that? Probably couldn't take a specialized hit more than I realized. No complaints out of me, really. As the bird gets recalled, Porygon-Z got ready for the next Pokemon and once it was revealed I had the realization we were going to have a fight on our hands.

The massive icy Pokemon. I knew what this thing was, or generally what it was. I assume that one knight that kept me from seeing Wikstrom the last time I was here, the thing that he had is its pre-evolved form. That thing could probably withstand the world if it came to it...and here I am still without a Focus Blast attack on Porygon-Z. Blast it all.

I then perked up. "A Hyper Voice?" Yea, I knew what that move was and I couldn't help but to grimace upon the loud wail, as did Porygon-Z. Problem is, there was something else to it that neither of us counted on. I felt a harsh breeze come within the noise. "The hell?" I said, looking towards Porygon-Z. I started to notice he started to glisten harder in the sun, more so than normal. The attack, stinging more so than it should. It was ice. That...can't be right. Hyper Voice is supposed to be a normal based attack...unless...wait, I heard of this. Its one of those traits a few Pokemon have around here. Refrigerate, I think it was? It had to be!

"Blast it, like hell if we're going out like that...Porygon-Z! Thunderbolt!" I shouted.

"PORY!" Porygon-Z shouted, unleashing an electrical onslaught in retaliation upon the Aurorus.

Diantha smiled as the order was issued, this battle was about to get fun for her. "Mirror Coat, ma cheri!" The championed cried out.

As the Thunderbolt zapped the Tundra Pokemon the Ice type would let out a cry, an aura of pink energy surrounding it in the process. The electricity that had previously coursed through its body would be sent right back out of it at twice its intensity, heading straight from the originator, Porygon-Z. Just like Blizzard experienced with the pre-evolved version, this was going to be a fight against a tank.
