Astriana's eyes was scanning the skies, keeping an eye out for anything in their area. That is when they lit upon some of their wingmates in some serious trouble. She made sure Moratath saw it too, so he could give them a warning.

Watch out, incoming trouble, the blue passed on to his wingmates.

High Altitude (Hour 3/Round 1)
1) 2. A clump of Thread falls right before you! Unfortunately, the wind pushes you and the Thread away from one another. With determination, you fight the wind, trying valiantly to get to the great enemy! You hop Between, hoping to get closer, and flame the Threads that threaten to fall through! Roll a D4 to see if you successfully Between!
4- Failure! You overshoot, and miss your target completely. Instead, it falls on one of your fellow wingmates, and they scream in pain as they disappear to the sanctuary of Between. [Take 3 turns of Guilt! Any Damage rolled takes an additional -5 HP. Any successful bonuses or saves by other players don't affect your character. You just don't deserve it.]

2) 18. Are you feeling lucky? Well you should! Free reply! Respond to this post with any action pertaining to Threadfall, and gain a little luck. [+1 Luck]
3) 4. Nothing to flame quite yet, which is almost a miracle in this sort of Threadfall. Still, you're able to relax a moment, look around, and take note of your airspace. All's well... for now.
4) 9. The wind is strong and trying hard to buffet you. If brown or bronze you see one of your wingmates struggling against the wind. They're getting blown out of their empty airspace, and dangerously close to a patch of Thread! You are able to twist and accurately flame down the clump they were going to fly into, saving them from Threadscore! Quote a Wingmate that took Threadfall Damage and nullify it! You saved them from the pain! +1 Flame Length

If a green or blue you find yourself struggling against the wind. The wind is powerful this high up, and you have to struggle to keep in your airspace. Unfortunately, a strong gust blows through, and you find yourself blown right into a clump of Thread! Moderate Damage -4 HP (additional -5 for guilt)

5) 4. Nothing to flame quite yet, which is almost a miracle in this sort of Threadfall. Still, you're able to relax a moment, look around, and take note of your airspace. All's well... for now.

4) 6. As you're flying, the wind picks up again, trying to knock you out of formation!

If less than 22 feet, you get blown out of formation, but are agile enough to avoid getting hit with Thread. Hurry now -- better make it back before your Wingleader scolds you!

If 23' to 35', you're able to fight it, but wind up straining a muscle. Whoops. Maybe you over-compensated. -4 HP

If 36'-46', you're able to fight the wind with relative ease. Unfortunately, the nearby Threadfall gets blown into your side and haunches -- and you were too big to move out of the way. Ouch! Moderate Damage -8 HP

Astriana watched as Moratath worked on taking out more of Thread, knowing what a fighter he was. While he worked on that, she made sure to do another check of those around them. It was lucky she did, since another wingmate was in trouble. She directed Moratath between quickly, then gave him coordinates for where to reappear. As they did, her blue was quick to flame it down.

See, told you we would keep others safe,he spoke.

Astriana was glad things seemed to be going better, though that thought was soon dashed from her mind when she felt pain from Moratath's wing. She had them go Between, to ease the pain and get rid of the Thread. When they popped back into formation, she could tell it still hurt him.

I am fine, Mine, it could have been worse. After all, it could have gotten to you,Moratath reminded. He would rather a little pain, then his rider being hurt. He went right into flaming once more, ignoring the pain from his wing.

Astriana thought that the wingsail was going to be it for a bit, but she was sadly mistaken. She didn't expect to see one of her wingmate's come out of Between, already flaming. Nor that instead of getting some Thread, they would be the target instead. A mixed cry of pain came from Astri and Moratath as she ordered her blue quickly Between. As they come back, she can feel Moratath is getting too quiet.

Moratath?comes a worried question.

Sonorienth and C'zon were still going strong as they glided into the second hour of their fight. Even as the deadly thread rained around them and the cries of falling dragons and riders sounded, C'zon was enjoying himself. The flash of his greens fire kept him warm and the elegant flight was a thrill to the sleepy brain. But that didn't mean he was just sitting back. He shouted a mental warning as the wind shifted and a patch of thread threatened to fly right into their faces. Nifty between work saved their skins and Sono quickly found their position in formation again.

The green rider pair had many factors on their side. Good team work. Sonos larger size and staminer when matched with her shared colour sisters but part of the reason that they had avoided any injury so far could only be put down to pure luck a d they took full advantage of it. Their flight path took them right into a circle of smaller thread drops. A sweep of Sonos head spitting flame as she went was enough to deal with most of them.

Back in the air after the healers tender ministrations Aspalath started to flame almost instantly. Twisting and flashing through the air on his vibrant wings to consume the enemy. But as he flew some of his wounds started to open and the brief rest had not been enough. Rider and dragon both still felt the strain which only lead to more mistakes as a smaller line of thread slipped past their defences and caught Aspalath on the shoulder.

Maybe they were getting on top of things or maybe it was pure luck. Either way the pair suddenly found themselves on a much clearer patch of Aly which meant they were both able to take a breather and restock on Firestone for the next Influx.

5. Singed tail tip

As Asapalth turned to catch a new ball of falling thread a sneaky spiral of the silver rain caught the blues tail tip. But after everything they had already suffered it was nothing. Essepcialy after it was shaken off between like a biting fly.
