((I'm more like roleplaying should be between different people. XD; Controlling the NPC too would make it seem like self-threading to me, which is something I avoid at all costs.))
"I'll just have to be certain that there isn't enough of him left to come back." Aziraphale's wings flared, crackling angrily. "The girl is my soulbond and thusly under my protection."
"As for your master, if I share any one trait with my Creator, it is that I hold no love for those who devote themselves to Chaos." If Aziraphale didn't have a beak (and a distinct lack of noticeable facial features to begin with), Esme would see her smirking. As it was, the smug tone of her voice more than conveyed her feeling. "Harm the girl, and you will be dealing with my full power. I tend to get quite angry with those who break my resurrection cycle."

((Ok then we'll just assume that Cyril was knocked out cold when Esme burst in, when Chibi gets back he can wake him up.))
Esme watched the creature in interest. "You don't strike me as one to follow the mad anarchy of dark, so I'll assume your creator is one of those stagnant gods who impose their idea of order on the world? No matter, as for the girl, I no longer have any interest in her, it is obvious that you are the one I want. I cannot allow any who would oppose my Master to live, assuming of course you actually are alive..." Esme was for the first time struck by a slight sense of doubth, if this was a Pheonix and if what it said about a rebirth cycle meant what Esme believed, it might prove problematic to dispose of it. After all it didn't appear to have a physical body, Esme wasn't sure if it could be banished like a spirit either. Still she had a job to do and the pits of hell would be filled with wildflowers and puppies before she failed her mission for the Master. Starring at the crackling energy before her an idea came to her. "Come little creature, I'll be sporting. I've had my turn and you survived my first assault, now it's only fair that you have a shot at me yes?"

"My creator is Perún himself, a god of war and storms from the olden days. His importance has diminished in these times, but his children still remember his power that he passed into us!"
Aziraphael seemed to shrink and shift shape, sparks drifting off her like feathers. "You wish to see it, I'll show it to you." Now in a more familiar shape, her wings snapped open, a sound like distant thunder filling the air. The bolt of lightning was massive, big around as a tree trunk, and accompanied by a bloodcurdling shriek.

Cyril sighed to himself, "I do not like to be beaten...even if it *IS* just play acting..." The man stood up slowly and grinned. He then called the bolt to the tip of his finger absorbing the energy easily, "Child of Perún, that is quite enough. Allow me to be a service of your god. It is only fair as the witch *IS* in my domain." Slowly, Cyril took a deep breath and then smiles as he uttered the final word of his incantation, "...break!"
The room seemed to melt away and be rapidly replaced by a cold, lifeless void. the only source of light was a winged creature who floated in front of Esme. Six wings grew out of his back, and a long claymore was in his right hand and was pointed at Esme. He opened his mouth as if to speak, but no words could be heard by any ear. Instead, a soft and melodic (though obvoiusly wrathful) voice could be heard in Esme and Aziraphael's minds. It spoke: "You have kindled the fires of the wrath of Lustré-Atra, mother and patron goddess of all Daemo. Her servants Atrié, Maiden of Darkness, and Lucia, Maiden of Light, have heard my call..." When the figure had finished projecting those words, half of his body became pure light while the other half became black and full of negative energies, "But, despite this, you will not taste death by my hand this day. You are to go back to your master and tell him of what you saw here." When this was said, the room came back and the figure smiled, "So dicti égo, San Cyrillius, Prætor of Xianéz Dæmo asc Elle Gratié. (So says I, Saint Cyril, Lord of Xian's Daemo under Her Grace.)" Cyril turned around and wrapped his wings around Aziraphael and then, in a burst of black and white feathers, they were gone.
"Remember my words, Esme as my mother is watching you."
They appeared in Val, capital city of Vallahad, shortly after. Cyril had already reverted to his mortal form, "We need to find Leon and Nexol..." --------- There was a break in the rankd of the Dragoons. Some wanted to go and defend the nests, but the other remembered Leon's promise to them. A decision was made to send fifty of the nearly two hundred and fifty of them to ward off the invaders... ----- Patrick smiled as he stepped up to the door that led to the royal treasure room of the Arrian palace. He reached oyu towards one fo the guards, and the guard suddenly was crushed by an unseen force. The second saw this and ran.
"No. You die now." Patrick reached out to the other guard and smiled evilly as he was also crushed into nothing, "Now for the sword..." He turned and walked into the room, ignoring everything but a large rusted claymore on the wall...

"I hate surprises," Aziraphael muttered after she managed to get her 'feathers' smoothed down, straightening after a quick check of her soulbonded, back to the half-human form she'd sported before.
"You said you had questions. You may want to ask them quickly. My time on the outside is limited to when she is unconscious, and after this I will be concentrating on repairing the damage from working that revival spell back in Fellpoli."

((Patrick... Isn't that the guy off sponge bob? I still think Pancake is better.... Plus you have annoying timing, if I didn't know better I'd swear you knew what I was planning and waited untill now to step in...))
Esme had been expecting such a lightening attack and had prepared a counterspell that she believed would have finished the Pheonix for good. Then Cyril got in the way. Through out his little display Esme watched unphased and after they had left she just turned and spat. "Gods... so the Master was right after all, he probably won't take that news well." Esme started sniffing the air and after a few moments got a fix on the scent of their magic, she'd find them again soon enough. Unfortunately by now guards were arriving to investigate all the noise, well unfortunate for the guards as Esme wasted little time in dispatching them. Then she called the Shadows to her, in moments a portal opened by her side and the two Shadows arrived. Pointing out the doorway Esme gave a simple instruction. "Kill everyone." The Shadows acted immediately and within minutes the sounds of fighting and screaming filled the halls, Esme knew it was only a matter of time before the Shadows would be stopped but untill then she found the sounds of death relaxing. Sighing she created a portal and returned to the caves to seek out Velorius.
================================================
Velorius was rather annoyed at the way events were playing out, the Dragoon fortress had fallen easily and yet there was still no sign of the Dragons coming to defend their nests. He was about to leave when Davon approached. "I've gotten word, a detachment of Dragoons is coming this way." "A detachment, how many are actually coming?" "Only a fifth of thier number." "What! Now I know why these dragons serve Nexol, they're all mad! What kind of dragon would neglect it's young like this, to protect a city well outside it's natural domain." "Shall we continue with the plan?" "No... I had intended on luring their whole force into the trap, if we spring it now and only get so few, the rest will be prepared for it in the future and that will do me no good." "Recall the main force, leave a token group to hold up the dragons advance and get the Shadows to gather up the eggs, I'm not leaving these poor creatures in the care of such negligent parents." While Davon saw to the orders Velorius disappeared into a portal.

Thorn roared loudly as he saw the Fortress come into sight. She was happy as the invaders had only found their decoy nest; only some young dragons would be sacrificed this day. She spiraled downwards and then rushed at the attackers, keeping low to the ground...the other dragons followed her lead. But the other dragons were not females. They were 500 year old males...

Cyril looked over to the creature, "Yes. Where has Perún been? Things are happing in this world, and I do believe that Lustré-Atra would need his help to right the order of things not only in Arrius and the rest of Xian, but also here in Vallahad. Velorius has most of Greater Arrius under his control, save the actual city." After he said this, he looked around and then smiled, "We need to meet up with Leon and Nexol. My full set of questions. Oh and..." He placed two fingers on her forehead and channeled energy into her, "This should be anough to keep your form for an hour or two." With that, he beconed her to follow him as he walked down a cobblestone street in Val. ------- Half of the male dragons pulled ahead and started their assult on the force that was left behind to stall them. The other half, led by Thorn, went ahead to the main fortress. When they got there, they bombarded its ruins with all ov their power with the hopes of making the wall crumble and kill anything that is in the nests.

Chibi-of-Doom Cyril looked over to the creature, "Yes. Where has Perún been? With that, he beconed her to follow him as he walked down a cobblestone street in Val. And what a procession they made. A priest being followed by a rather large, glowing creature that looked like something approximating a person, stretched out and given wings, which was carrying a pale and unconscious girl. " My lord sleeps, as he has for the last thousand years, but his followers will make ready allies, and there have been stirrings among my kin...whisperings that our great Father will shortly waken and take his bow in hand." Her wings unconsciously mantled about her shoulders like a bird of prey's, and if her facial expression were readable through the glow (and lack of human facial features) it would be very much a feral grin. " He who has been forgotten will rise again, and we will be free to fly where our wings would take us. That is, of course, after the chaos-child has been dealt with. A task for which you shall have my assistance, to be sure."

Velorius sat in a comfortable looing chair near a fire while listening to Davon's report. "All indications seem to show that they were expecting us, the nests were nearly empty, they must have moved the latest hatch elsewhere for safe keeping before we attacked." "So they anticipated us, maybe I underestimated them, oh well sooner or later those traitors will be exterminated." A portal opened at the oposite end of the chamber and Esme emerged, as she approached she disgarded her glamor returning to her true form. "Master Zagore I'm sorry to say that I have yet to kill the Azira woman or more acuarately I have yet to kill the being known as Aziraphale which resides in the little priestess. Turns out the girl is a host body to some kind of pheonix in the midst of regeneration or rebirth or whatever it's called." "It's unlike you to leave a job unfinished Esme my dear, did this Aziraphale creature prove too powerful?" "Bah... Before I could dispatch the creature I was interrupted by 'Saint Cyril' the head of that monastery I think." Esme suddenly broke out into a fit of laughter. "Just before he fled he threatened me and put on a pretty little light show claiming that I had angered Lustré-Atra goddess of Daemo or something.. What are Daemo?" "I've not heard the term before could be an archaic term for demon, anything else?" "Oh just some nonsense about maidens of light and dark and to report what I saw to you, I think they expect this to worry you for some reason. Oh and that Aziraphale pheonix seems to be a servant of Perún." "The gods of this world would do well to keep out of mortal affairs, I was afraid it would come to this but I had hoped to avoid it religious wars are so futile. However if these gods wish to meddle so be it, they have chosen their path, I'll just have to kill them too if they become a problem." Zagore got up out of his seat and headed off into a side chamber folowed by Davon and Esme, the chamber was occupied by large tables bearing 3D topological maps of the regions of Xian. "I wanted subtle, with relatively minor fuss in the transition, now we go for blunt force and let them handle the reprecusions. Recall all the Orcs, bring as many here as we can safely conceal inside the warding spells as a reserve force and move the bulk of them to the southern passes. Once we've marshaled every last Orc capable of lifting a weapon they'll march on Arrius, I intend to lay siege to the city and obliterate it from the maps. Esme organise our agents, tonight I want every last sovereign, royal or noble from any nation loyal or allied to Arrius assasinated and make sure it looks natural. Begin spreading rumors of Arrius invoking the wrath of heaven, lets see how eagerly the other nations rush to Arrius's aid. Davon I want you to stir up trouble in the south along the border near New Val, our allies in the parliment will use it as an excuse to refrain from sending troops to Arrius, insisting they be kept to defend the southern colonies." Davon and Esme nodded their understanding and left to carry out his wishes. Things could have gone simply, but then some bored Gods decided to meddle in affairs that didn't concern them. This could have been settled almost peacefully by now, instead a lot of innocent people will have to die, a pitty these good-doers never consider the consequences of their good deeds...

(Long three-part post) Part I: Atrius (You are about to get a taste of Arrian formalities) Atrius Lucas val-Motosuwa, Father of the House of val-Motosuwa and Son of Leonardo I, marched at the head of the long line of men and boys. This was it. He successfully rallied all men and boys to march on Arrius and defend the empire that had made them prosper. With them marched Atrius's personal guard from his North Vallahad palace. As he walked, the men in the mid-ranks blew horns and raised flags bearing the Motosuwa Seal that is burned onto the soul all who are adopted into the Royal Clan and the Arrian Imperial Coat of Arms. After a day's march, they finally reached the southern gate of Arrius. As they passed through the checkpoints, Atrius checked himself in with Raegib. --- Taken from the journal of Atrius Motosuwa: The year 6201 of Arrius on the 1st day of the 10th month: I smiled warmly as I walked into the tent set up for Raegib. I then bowed and said to my sister’s descendant, "Most High and Infallible Divine Emperor Leonardo Raegib Theos Motosuwa, head of the Royal Motosuwa Clan of Arrius and Vallahad, I come to you with news. I, Atrius Lucas val-Motosuwa, Father of the House of val-Motosuwa and Son of Leonardo I (May the father of the Sister Nations walk among us for all eternity), come to you with great new, your highness. I have brought with me a legion to defend the city my father built, and I have also rallied the townsfolk to the south to march upon the city. Every man and child who can hold a sword has stepped up to defend his hometown, and all mages have reported to St. Cyril's for instructions." After this, I bowed deeply and waited for Raegib's reply. A smile spread itself across his face and he replied to me after a while. "Prætor Atrius, ascé tu. Ega és felicis a habé audio vis. Al Reichis a Arrius vil non mort in vis diam, grati tus baldre éfort in vis matier. May al priz et benidicti de al Dieti e vif tu as tu Verdedig al murenis a Reichez Imperium Citudis Arrius!" (Lord Atrius, you may rise now. I am glad to have heard this. The Empire of Arrius will not die this day thanks to your great effort this day. May the blessings of the gods be with you as you defend the walls of the Imperial City of Arrius!) I rose after he gave me his blessing (In classical Arrian no less), and I walked out of the tent to begin to rally the troops. As I stepped onto the podium that was set up for me, and I leaned in to speak into the voice tube, I couldn't help but to smile on the inside at these commoners who would die for their lord and nation. Raegib, his cabinet, the Senate, and my Father did a damn good job in keeping Arrius prosperous. The people who stood there awaiting my speech came from all walks of life and all races. Humans, Neko, Wolf, Avian, Elfish, Draconic, Dwarfish, and all the creatures (Beast and Humanoid alike) that inhabit this world of Trallis stood united under one name. One ruler. One law. I slowly raised my hand to quiet them. Once they settled themselves, I began my speech in the trade language of the world: "People of the Arrian Empire! We gather here today to defend that which is holy to us! This city, favored by the gods, rose from a tiny, remote village in North Xian to the greatest city that has ever existed in the history of this world! As the hour of the first war in over 4000 years grows ever near, I extend to you the blessing of your sister nation. I will fight along with you to defend this city that my father built and my twin sister ruled! Today we stand to defend the City that has brought peace to this region!" After my speech, I drew my sword and thrust it into the air and I uttered a barbaric war cry. The citizens-turned-soldiers followed by thrusting their weapons into the air. The war drums of the ancient pre-Arrian barbarians began to beat and the hunting horns blew loudly. Dragons roared as they circled the city like vultures, and the Avians took off in a flurry of feathers and a chorus of bellows and squawks. Within an hour, the gates were locked and sealed, and professional archers were posted on the city walls. I had though that we were ready...but an unexpected ally marched in from the east and took camp outside the city: The Meteorokku Fire Clans. They flew both the Meteorokku and the Motosuwa Clans' seals, and the most notorious criminal in Arrian History led them: Ignus Ixahrejem Meterokku. Part 2: Ixahrejem
Ixahrejem's last few days were quite eventful. Slowly, the man who was once pure evil was transformed into the leader of a nation. It began with his ancestor's revelation to him. It was then that Ixahrejem came to realise the error of his ways. He was fully aware that someone had killed everyone in his organisation, but that was not on his mind. Just days before, he was angling to take over the Arrian Empire. Then after that, he found the camps of the desert-dwelling nomads who were of the Meteorokku Clan and united them under his rule as Warlord. Now, he was bowing deeply before the emperor and begging for forgiveness for his crimes against the empire, and permission to add his forces to that of Arrius's... ---- Taken from the journal of Atrius Motosuwa: The year 6201 of Arrius on the 1st day of the 10th month:
I was slightly surprised by Ixahrejem's offer. Though I had never met the man, I had heard of his deeds. How can a man like him become...good? When he first came into the tent, I noticed that there was no darkness in his heart. Becasue of this, I seconded his motion, and the emperor agreed with haste. I wish I could say all Raegib did. After giving Ixahrejem back his rights as an Arrian citizen, he also extended a treaty to him, offering to give the Clans of the Meteorokku full Arrian citizenship. the move was bold, but well though out. By giving them citizenship, he would have their loyalty. That is something that all rulers need to be successful during times like these. Ixahrejem accepted his offer and was given the title of Governor of the Meteorokku Province and General of the Meteorokku's warriors. But again, that was nto all he did. To further relieve any tensions between the Arrian crown and the Meteorokku, Emperor Raegib then adopted Ixahrejem into the Motosuwa Clan. It was a strange day indeed. Once this was complete, I was given charge of the armed forces of the Arrian empire. Wasting no time, I quickly summoned the generals to the tent and we began to figure out what we were goign to do if the city was to be assulted. We numbered 7: General Ixahrejem Meteo-Motosuwa, General of the Meteorokku Army; General Bask Inu-Motosuwa, General of the Arrian Ground forces; Major General Cole Zephyr of the Mage's Guild (Nexol was the General); Brigadier General Isshido Motosuwa of the Samurai (The Major General died in the attack on Fellpoli, and Leon was the General); My wife, General Sophia val-Motosuwa of the Dragoons and Archers; General Ashton of the Mounted Forces; and me, Grand General Atrius Lucas Motosuwa of Vallahad.

Part 3: Cyril and Leon
Cyril stepped up to a door in the Old City of Val and gave it three sharp knocks. "This is Leon's Lab...since her...err...blew up his study," Cyril explained to the creature that followed him. There was a light bump, and the door swung open widely, and a small white cat with bright blue eyes stepped out on the threshhold. It was late fall in Vallahad, so when the air hit the cat, it flinched a bit. It grgained its composure and looked up at Cyril, its head tilted slightly.
"Yes, My lord, I do beleive that your son Atrius is now in Arrius. May we come in? the cold here is not like Arrius's cold. At least the air in North Xian is dry..."
The cat swished its tail and then it began to grow quickly. Withing two seconds, a tall Neko stood before Cyril and his follower. "Yes. Nexol and I have always hated Val durign this season," Leon replied to Cyril, "Come in." He stepped back, giving Cyril and whoever (or whatever) it was following him enough time to get in befroe closing the door behind him, "I am expecting word from Arrius any moment now. Go into the kitchen first, though as I have a pot of tea on the stove." Leon pointed to the right before moving stepping through a door to the left.
Cyril looked around the house. It was so cluttered with mess that one could barely move around. He sighed at Leon's disorganisation and mumbled smoething under his breath that was along the lines of, "You're 6146 years old, Leon. Act like it." Cyril turned around and smiled at his companion, "Tea, is it then?"
