Lesser of two evils ? Is this like comparing say ***** to murderers and saying one is more acceptable because at least the victim isn't killed or the victim is at least out put of their misery ?
Well, I wouldn't phrase it quite that way. I'd say it's more like comparing murderers and the murderer of murderers

Well, this thread has its purposes but, I'm not terribly fond of the side effects. This thread makes it easier for people to be lazy and opt for posting here rather than thinking up new topics for everyone to discuss.

So, you're saying if I made a thread similar to this one (at least in my head that's how I see it please tell me if they are very different or something). With actual polls that I would vote for. I find it useless to vote on a poll like this one where you pick one, two, or three there is no sense of actual information being gathered and whatnot and just can't can't get myself to vote lol. And log all the polls with end dates to keep track of what people had thought. And created little mini topics but with the general sense of anything goes in the thread as long as you are actually saying something and not spamming (ex. random letters being typed or a million emoticons that are unrelated to anything). And a promise to try to update the thread and maintain it and make sure to get rid of inappropriate bannable offending posts. And gave people my contact info so that they could reach me outside of gaia in case I missed something. This would be one of those evil unacceptable threads ?
Yes I'd have to say it would be in my opinion because it would limit the amount of new threads being made by members. Why bother making any threads when there's one that is about anything and everything after all?

Defensive ? Really ? I hadn't realized it with all the laughing lol. I should make a note of that laughter and enjoyment equals getting defensive and saying stuff just for saying stuff and joking around light heartedly and not wishing death to anyone and wanting them to have a long life is wow defensiveness is weird xD.
Hmm it seems you're mocking me...perhaps I'm wrong. I hope so but, it certainly comes off that way. I never claimed that laughing/enjoyment/wishing someone a long life = defensiveness.
You claiming that Erius and I lead "stiff, serious, stressful lives" seemed like an insult to me and I generally think that when someone begins making personal attacks against someone that they are being defensive.
Also, you did not wish us a long life. You simply stated that you believe you and Erv will live longer than us. This implies that you think we will die sooner than you because we do not share in your sense of humor and that we are unfortunate for it. I tend to interpret those sorts of statements and implications as defensive. Forgive me if I made a mistake.

I don't see how "getting laid" is negative either. Although I'd prefer to call it something more intimate myself. Getting laid sounds more like one night standish and I would honestly prefer to have a closer connection than just bang bang bang, I don't want your name just the sex sort of a deal. To each their own though heh.
Well, by saying that we (Erius and myself) will end up with children (said in a negative way as though it were an ill effect of our personalities) I assumed that the means of bringing said children into the world would not be a loving, intimate, meaningful event that would bless our lives. Otherwise, that would hardly be something to fear. So, I opted for "getting laid" as it implies a more casual interaction and not something to be cherished but, that is still, in my mind, not something that I would find regretful.

Good you shouldn't. I don't either. I prefer to think that I am perfectly healthy and generally try to stay positive in life.
