No effort values are gained with rare candy. Effort values are gained from killing pokemon. *cough* "Defeating" pokemon I mean.

I figured that, so... if pokemon are already EV-trained, it's alright to use Rare candies then?

I suppose so. If it's maxed and there's no point to EV train anymore, should be fine.
Try leveling up an EV-trained pokemon by battling. Then turn the game off and try a rare candy.

Lin, to answer your question earlier, one of the effects I know about is that you get less stat boosts from rare candies, thus making your pokemon weaker than a pokemon actually trained up to max level in the end.
Also, how is the ATG today? Sexy as always I hope.

Sentama Lin I'm always feeling sexy, Alky. How are you? I feel like sitting in front of a mirror and fapping as hard and fast as I can. That's how sexy I feel right now. As for what I'm really doing instead of that though, is sitting at my cousin's computer watching him kick a** in GTA4. Looks like a fun game.
